"Awwwww!!! Hi gorgeous!!!!" Ida squeals with delight as the sight of her giant schnauzer and immediately drops to start rubbing all over him and kissing his head as he tries to lick her face. She keeps playing with him as she feels everyone's eyes upon her and looks up smiling. "This is my Kaiser, my reason for always needing to come home. I've made a deal with the stable hands to keep him taken care of when I need to leave and he can't come with me. He's very friendly as long as I'm not threatened, but he's also my greatest protector, he's just the bestest boy that ever was." She smushes his face as she talks about him and makes an effort to stand back up so he can greet everyone.
Darwin smiles at the obvious bond between Ida and her dog. After she moves back a step he moves towards Kaiser and looks at him eye to eye, reaching up to ruffle the top of his head. "He'd make a fine steed for one such as me", he says jokingly.
"Whatever your brother is after, it seems plain he doesn't want you finding that cure. I am inclined to help make sure he is disappointed", he says to Agnarr whilst he still focuses on Kaiser.
Ida starts moving around the space, and heads to the storage space. She starts to search through the he organized chaos and comes out with newer clean clothing for every one. She makes piles for each of them and hands them a set which include a fresh tunic, well-constructed pants, and a new belt. She then looks to Agnarr to hear his answer.
Agnarr scratches his chin, 'I can't be sure of the exact distance. I reckon that Buchenholz, the town on the western edge, would be about 5 and a half days walk, assuming more than half the day is spent walking.' he shrugs, 'rough estimate, I can't claim I'm too familiar with the coast line.'
“Nice, thanks Ida”, Darwin exclaims as Ida digs out the clothes for everyone.
”Five days walk but we could cut that down if we could get our hands on some horses. What do you all think? I have nothing better to do whilst I wait for Antonius to make my item”, he asks the others.
Ida needs to tell her family that she has returned, but knows it's better if they are unaware that she brought visitors home. She calls for Kaiser and whispers something in his ear, and Kaiser takes back off our the door at speed.
"I think I can procure the horses needed without an issue. I've sent Kaiser to go find his caretaker so we can get that set up. I need about 30 minutes to go let my family know that I'm home. In that time, feel free to bathe and change, or to eat anything that's in the kitchen. He usually has a strange sense about when I'm returning and leaves food from the main house just in case. There is also so much stashed in that storage area- clothing, small weapons, books and pamphlets, etc - so feel free to rummage through and see if there is anything you need. Or if any of you would like to unload some of what you're carrying, it will be safe there and locked away while we move around town. Please stay in the cottage while I'm gone, just to avoid any incidents with the family since I have no idea what they may have happening today. I'll be back in under 30 minutes, and if anything delays me I'll send Kaiser to let you know.
With that she smiles and slips out the door to head to the main house.
Hamish digs through the clothes, finding a utilitarian set just a smidge too big for him, but he seems pleased by the shroud it makes of his frame. As soon as Ida mentions food, Hamish starts looking through the kitchen for something sweet. He nods at Agnarr and then glances up at Darwin's question, "I don't think i asked for anything. I thought the wand was my share. I have no idea what to even ask for."
Darwin takes a sip of his drink then shakes his head.
"Oh no my friend, the wand was just an item we acquired along the way. Antonius needs to pay you as well, if not by making an item then in gold", he says assertively.
"I personally wouldn't know what to do with all that gold, that's why I went for an item".
Ida returns with a 20ish year old gentleman following her behind Kaiser. "Everyone - this is a good friend, Will, who is going to prepare the horses for us to use. I wanted him to get an idea of everyone's build so that the best horses are selected for each of you. Shouldn't need them for more than a few days, and if anything happens I'll get word to you." Will takes a good look at each of them, smiles, and departs.
"Is everyone full and clean? I'm going to change quickly and then we can head towards the docks?"
Hamish stands awkwardly as Will silently sizes him up. When the man leaves, he nods along with Darwin and gets up, making sure he still has his new wand.
((Would it be possible for Hamish to get, whether through Antonius crafting it or simply buying, either a cloak of protection or a cloak of elvenkind? I think either would work well for him.))
Ida returns to the main area in clean clothing with her hair freshly braided back, just as there is a light tap at the door. Kaiser seems to know it's Will, so no barking is heard, only a happy dog wiggling to the door. Ida motions for everyone to follow her as she goes outside where Will is standing. She leans down and loves on Kaiser, whispers in his ear, and then turns to Will. "Are they ready?" Will nods towards the back end of the cottage where 4 horses are waiting. "Thank you, we'll make sure they are taken care of. Can you lock up when you get bored?" She smiles and will nods again as he leads them back to the horses.
You mount the horses provided and walk them through the city to the docks. As you approach the moored ships, it's not hard to pick out the large silhouette of the Dragonborn dockmaster.
“Ho there, Aldheim”, Darwin calls out as they approach.
”How have you been?”, he adds trying to be friendly. He is aware that their last meeting didn’t exactly go smoothly, but he hopes it will be different this time without Toryn.
The thought makes him a little sad, but he puts on his most winning smile anyway.
Hamish scans the docks, looking for anyone resembling Agnarr, not just physically but for the cultural markers of his people based on his descriptions.
Hamish has heard of the Lousumpf, and knows that it lies somewhere to the east of Haukberg, but that's about all

Darwin dutifully does as he is asked, finding a drink and taking the comfiest seat he can find while he waits.
"What did you end up asking for as payment from Antonius, Hamish?", he asks out of sheer curiosity.
Agnarr watches Ida leave the room, 'Well, I would appreciate the assistance, Hamish, would you care to join us?'
Hamish digs through the clothes, finding a utilitarian set just a smidge too big for him, but he seems pleased by the shroud it makes of his frame. "Ready when you are Ida", Darwin says from his position on the comfy chair.
"How are we going to play this at the docks? We could go find Aldheim, I bet he's missed us", he says with a grin.
Agnarr nods, 'I'm good to go whenever' he states.
((Yes we can retcon as that's something you asked for. Hamish also was lined up for something that would help with his neck if I recall)

((Perception 14))
Ida stops her horse as they get closer and dismounts to show that they aren't in any way trying to be an intimidating presence.
