Solvig snarls and swings his Trident about to point at the sky above the deck. A swirling storm cloud appears in the clear sky there. Lightning then lashes down striking an area of the deck that is heavily populated and bodies go flying. Several sailors crumple to the crowd, there bodies spasming from the electricity.
One was quick enough to move away from the blast but he still takes a hit but he is able to stay on his feet. His skin is little scorched and his hair stands on end but he turns to face Solvig and starts shouting commands.
The party recognize the survivor of this early strike as the Bosun.
Even still, more than half the crew immediately drop their weapons and surrender to this show of power.
The Captain and his first mate stand above as the wheel, still brandishing arms. The Bosun's mate is unbroken and 5 crewmen set themselves for a fight.
He telepathically instructs Caper to try and incapacitate the first mate if he can, and then focusses on the captain himself.
"Captain, you are outgunned and out matched, and it seems all your chickens have come home to roost. Or should that be seagulls for you", he says, lacing the words with a magical sting.
He then moves to gain some cover from the remaining pirates who are ready to fight.
As he does this, Caper swoops down and exhales his euphoric breath in the face of the first mate, before retreating up as far as possible, still invisible.

Ida had her battle-axe ready, but not being able to see Hamish has her nervous. She hopes Agnarr has eyes on him, and she moves towards the closest crew member still brandishing arms. She plants her feet and throws her weight as she slices across his abdomen.
Hamish pokes his head up and sees his comrades engaging in battle. "Oh, I hope this is the right choice," he mutters as he feels the confusion swell inside of him and fill his hand with power. He hurls the energy at the closest aggressive crew member to Ida, trying to clear a path for her. But in his panic, the bolt of energy flies wide and he is suddenly very nervous about being a target.
Hamish's bolt whizzes close enough to tussle the hair of the sailor as he charges Ida and swings his Cutlass at Ida but it glances off her chainmail.
The Captain shoots his crossbow at Solvig but the bolt shoots wide. He vaults the handrail down to the deck and charges. Between him and Solvig is Agnarr who takes a nasty slash of the cutlass.
Another Sailor steps forward to attack Solvig. The attack avoids his shimmering aegis and opens a very small cut on his shoulder.
The Bosun charges in at Ida, who stands between him and Solvig. He hits her for 7 points of damage.
The final sailor noticed Hamish's bolt and attacks him, slashing him for 3 damage.
The first mate is unable to do anything other than turn from the railing and walk away, out of sight of the party.
Solvig looks down at the blood that has been drawn from his shoulder and growls. He stabs the sailor with his Trident, thrusting his points into the sailor's chest. He retracks and swirls the Trident about, aiming a savage clubbing with the back end at the Sailors head but the man manages to dodge.
Seeing Hamish attacked, Darwin peaks around from the cover he has found and reaches into the well of power within himself. As he does so his hand starts to glow and he pushes it forcefully towards the pirate attacking Hamish, a [eldritch blast;glowing orb of force[/spell] covers the distance between them, aimed right at the pirate.
Caper retreats back towards Darwin, flying 30 feet above him and casts the Minor Illusion illusion of a water barrel over the Darwin.
Darwin: Action: Eldritch Blast on the pirate attacking Hamish - Attack: 17+5=22 , Damage: 10+3 = 13

Ida spins to find the next crew member who needs to be introduced to her battle-axe. She moves towards Hamish where another crew member is trying to sneak closer. She runs to put herself between him and Hamish, slicing upwards as she comes within striking distance.
Agnarr moves to Solvig and, bellowing his war cry, his hammer, and body, begin to crackle with electricity. He swings his hammer at one of the last two sailors who assail Solvig.
Electricity crackles as the hammer caves the skull of the Sailor and he crumples.
Hamish flashes a quick thumbs up in Darwin's direction, hoping his companion can see the gesture. Then he gets to his knees and looks at who is still standing. He focuses on the bosun and lets the torrent of voices he feels inside of him billow out of his mouth and into the man's mind.
The Bosun flinches from the psychic damage as it washes over him but his resolve is stronger than Hamish anticipated.
The Captain, still confronted with Agnarr snarls. He swings his Cutlass then shoots his crossbow past the large southerner aiming for Solvig again. His blade cuts Agnarr deeply but the barbarian barely seems to feel it. The bolt punches through the shimmering defense and penetrates Solvig, causing him to turn to look at the Captain.
The Bosun attacks Ida, once again, hoping to clear her from his path. His light hammer thumps her for 9 damage.
The first mate snaps out of his delirium and vaults the rail to the deck. He charges for Agnarr as well. He swings twice, the first nicking the big man narrowly, drawing his attention but alerting him enough to dodge the next question.
Solvig demolishes the last sailor attacking him. He drives his Trident through his chest then clubs him across the chin with the opposite end as he falls to the ground. He stalks forwards to the Captain menacingly.
Darwin spots the bosun attacking Ida from his illusory hiding place, and dips into his well of power, cursing the bosun and sending a bolt of eldritch energy at him.
Bonus Action: Cast Hex on Bosun Action: Cast Eldritch Blast at Bosun: 17+5=22, Damage: 4+3+6=13
The axe cleaves clean through the sailors neck, sending his head comically sailing overboard.
Agnarr is now left facing the last two hostiles. He growls, spitting phlegm from his teeth and lightning crackles along his flesh and lashes out, striking the first mate. Eyes manic and coursing with electricity, the big Barbarian swings his hammer about savagely aiming for the Captain's head.
The Captain decks under the massive blow.
