Assuming Sasha gets help up with the found items she first turns to the half-elf "I think these belong to you now Vireil."She says smiling and hands her the bundle of arrows. She then looks down on the rest of the items. - Leather armor - 3 maces - Besmara vial (Can we determine what it is by taking a sip?) - Glass jug with Gray ooze - 12 sp + 20 gp "Anyone interested in any of these items before I turn the rest in to Grok?" She says looking at the others.
Viriel, those are Walloping Arrows. You have 20 of them. For clarity, because I have seen rules confusion on them before...they do still deal damage just like normal arrows, they just have a chance of knocking their target prone as a bonus.
On the vial you can drink it if you would like, right now you don't know what effect that would have positive or negative.
You know what...I apologize...I took a second look at the rules, and it turns out that you can sip identify potions...
DMG: The identify spell is the fastest way to reveal an item’s properties. Alternatively, a character can focus on one magic item during a short rest, while being in physical contact with the item. At the end of the rest, the character learns the item’s properties, as well as how to use them. Potions are an exception; a little taste is enough to tell the taster what the potion does.
Pulling the cork from the bottle and taking a small sip, there is a metallic flavor that slides over your tongue...otherwise it is just water. Silver...you taste silver in this water! This is a potion of holy water.

"Thank you, but, I have some concerns about taking things from here. If we found this on the ship, it might be supposed to be here. We saw what happened to the last guy who was caught taking from the ship. I don't want to meet the same fate for... anything." She looks at the items Sasha brings up, especially the arrows she was given. These are fine, but... it seems like arrows are not particularly useful on this ship. "I think we should find a better solution than taking any of this for ourselves."
"I agree Vireil that whatever we may decide to keep for ourselves should be kept hidden for now. I don't, however, think anyone will miss some items lost in the bilge water. I have no particular interest in any of these items myself but I wouldn't object to anyone keeping anything for themselves. The rest I suggest we turn in to Grok, our quartermaster." Sahsa suggests.
[OOC: did anything come off my request from Plugg?]
"I'm good. The ooze looks kind of fun, though. The other items are of no use to me. That being said, you might want to keep the arrows" says Grath looking at Vireil.
"The one who took our possessions when we boarded the ship? Why give it to her, of all people?" Vireil finds it strange at first, but then an idea comes to mind. "Oh, I get it. We could sell all that to her. I've heard you can buy stuff from her, so I can't see a reason why we won't be able to sell too. With the money we get, we can each get at least some of our equipment back, right?" Or something like that. Vireil was thinking, if she cannot really carry her bow around, what can she? Then, feeling the dagger in her boot, she realises: Throwing knives. Simple, yet very effective at the hands of a trained thrower. They also don't cost much, most likely. "And, if she claims it already belongs to the ship, then we can tell her we came to return it all."
(You can stash the items you want to keep down in the bilges if you want, always a chance someone else could find and keep them...Or you could put them in your locker if they will fit...generally the foot lockers under your hammocks are about 3'x4'...so most of what you have found could be stowed in there...but they did say that they had searched Magpie's locker after he was found paralyzed in the captain's quarters...so there are occasions when the lockers do get searched if that is a concern you have.
What are you keeping and what are you taking to Grok to sell? Who is going to sell items to Grok? Is there anything else you guys want to do before you return back to duty?)

(Tegoir, Wibbly wobbly timey whimey...I figured you guys were still below deck so that request hadn't been made yet.)
Grath, Mr. Plugg eyes you suspiciously, trying to determine if you are just looking to slack off from work. Then he nods his head slowly. "Fine. Let Scourge know that I say tis okay. Your work duties flow through him. And if that boy Scrimshaw is better he can get back to work and keep an eye on you down there anyway."

****** I figured you guys were still below deck so that request hadn't been made yet.
[OOC: my bad, I thought we already started walking back to our duties.]
[ Wibbly wobbly timey whimey...] Grath sees his companions search the bilges and hears Sasha saying something about leaving stuff in the water. "Leaving things in the water might not be a good idea. I want to tell Plugg that I want to do my repair duties below decks, here in particular. That might include draining the water to a certain degree."
Before he gets his chaperone for the day, he starts checking the bilge for cracks, holes. His idea is to find a place that is loose or worn out. Small flaws that are easy to patch in a way it can conceal small objects, such as (spell)books, cylindrical containers of 1-2 inch. In his head this improvised compartment would be rectangular from the front that gradually bends to pick up the shape of the wall. Lengthwise it would be 1 foot.
Arloch sees the rats have been dispatched and says, "Eh it matters not to me where those items go. If that is it then I should get going. Don't want to get even more extra duties tomorrow. I will see you all at dinner. We got some decent fish tonight! So we shall see what Ambrose has planned. Apologies for that sludge in a bottle yesterday. It didn't go as planned."
After some time Arloch makes his way back towards Grok and returns his suit of armor and shield. He then rushes up the decks to finish whatever runner duties he may have left so as to not anger Scourge any further.
"Well, just grab what you want and hide it in your sea chest for now, I'll take the rest to our quartermaster. I'll be sure to mention that we all were to thank for its recovery which just may give you some credit when bartering for your own equipment I hope." Sasha says and waits a little while longer for the others to take what they want before bringing the rest to Grok, as previously stated.
"Yes, I thought they would make a good addition to Pluggs evening stew, but go ahead and knock yourself out." Sasha says with a smirk to the Goliath, motioning to the rats that Ringer took care of.
Sasha, as you take your found goods to the quartermasters store Grok greets you with a smile. "Hail the returning hero! What'd you lot find down there? Ooo, you brought some new things...what do you intend with those maces lass? I'd be impressed to see someone use three at once what."
What are you taking to the QM store and what is getting hidden away?

Grath, unfortunately you are not able to find a suitable cubby today before you are joined in the bilges by Jack. But you don't feel like you have quite exhausted all possibilities down here just yet. (You may make another investigation check down here on a different action to find your cubby, or you can search a different part of the ship...but thus far no forward action has been made on this objective.)
***
Arloch, as you resume your runner duties Deket helps a bit between his tasks. You set up a system of meeting in the middle of the ship and exchanging the written and verbal messages that need to go from port to aft or vice versa. (Since Deket is giving you his daytime action you can make your checks for the runner task again, both the Acrobatics and the Con save to avoid exhaustion).
***
As the day heads into the late afternoon a cool breeze comes from the south. There is an audible sigh across the entire deck as crew members and officers alike lean out over the port side to let the breeze blow through their hair and carry away the heat of the day. A light sprinkle begins to fall as the sky gives up its hard earned humidity in the face of the chill. The rain is cooling, but not cold. Overall the crews spirits raise as a giddiness sets in, the kind you find when caught in an unexpected but pleasant rainfall.
(It has been a few days since this morning IC. Besides the resolution of the sale that Sasha is doing and Arloch finishing his daytime task was there anything else that needs to be done before I move us to the next part?)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh, just some stowaway rats, one took a nasty bite at me though." Sasha says and shows Grok her arm and then what she brought with her. "I would hope these things could be used as a credit for my friends" She says, giving Grok a wide smile. Persuasion if needed: 18 (As mentioned, unless stopped, Sasha brings everything that no one claims, so please go on and grab stuff now. :-)
When finished at Grok Sasha goes to see Sandara as mentioned in post #275 :-) ( Lucky reroll on persuasion if needed: 21 ) Nevermind.
Grok smiles at you. "I completely understand lass, but I don't keep credits. Just more headache than they are worth. I'll tell you what though, sell these to me an then you can do with whatever you want with the money you make. Even give it to them. If it ends up back in my pocket so much the better."

(So is there some way to identify it before actually drining it?)
The identify spell comes to mind :P You could also see if your cleric or the other Cleric of Besmara on the ship know anything about it.
