Lorban chuckles, "Well Weld, you should get on with our cook, Cook! But let me caution you to eat around the onions in her stew. She dug them up when we passed through the Troll Claws. And Nine Hells, will they give you a foul nimbus!"
"This will be your employer, Dorin Orimeer"
"Dorin, this is Nobody from nowhere, and Thufir and Weld coming from Greenest."
Dorin gives his guard a strange look "There you go making up stories again laddy, You know I'm the cook." He looks each of the party members over "You seem like stout folks, exceptin the scrawny one over there" He says gesturing to Nobody.
Then still addressing the group
"I'll give ye 5 silver each for guarding and other chores like foraging, and a gold piece each if ye stay on till Waterdeep. Ye be getting your coin when ye leave my employ. Meals included. I'm sure my cooking is better than anything in the Nine Hells. Or glowing clouds for that matter."
Nobody grins sheepishly. "That sounds wonderful. Though, I-I can't pretend to be the most savvy at foraging -- B-but I'll of course do my part where I can!" He assured Dorin, and by extension the other's of his crew. "I also know a bit of magic as well that should help too, j-just so there's no surprises." Nobody then smirked a bit and added, "Although, I wouldn't be surprised if you figure that given my physique."

A female dwarf comes out of the wagon looking irritated "Dorin?! Did you forget your Millie?" Dorin's cheeks turn red he looks to the ground "Yeah you never speak to me anyway." he gestures to the young female dwarf "This is my daughter Millie She's actuallythe cook."
"Hrumph Your hired"
He storms off to finish hitching his team.
Millie looks at the group apologetically "Sorry Dorin be a little absent minded since my mother died."
"I assume you mean five silver a day of course. And if so, I'm your man. We'll keep your booze safe from bandits on the road. Though I will want to fill up my own wine skin for the road before we head off."Thufir says with a grin.
Dorin's eyes as well as Millie's go wide with shock when Thufir asks for more than half of what he makes in a year and their product to boot. "Dragonborn, you'll find no work here! If you think I'll pay you more than a kings ransom, and what I make in a year. And free wine tooboot."
passive Insight tells you that these dwarves are merchants not cultist
ooc: The cultist are part of the caravan others are simply commoners
Lorban stifles a snicker as the haggling erupts. After a few moments he positions himself behind the dwarves and slips a hand into his vest. He briefly reveals a silver token. With that done, he puts the token away and resumes guarding.
Sleight of Hand: 12
Insight: 17 to make sure Thurfir (or Nobody or "Weld") sees it before he puts it away
Millie shakes her head as Dorin walks away. She quietly says "Apology's about my father he thinks it's still two hundred years ago. With meals we'll pay you each 2 silver a day" Apparently she's the one running the show.
Nobody smiled gratefully at Millie and even bowed his head a bit. "Though I perhaps shouldn't speak on the behalf of my fellows, as my own, uhm, perspective on the pay was a less concerned one. You have our most sincere thanks, Ms. Millie." His expression than fell into a more solemn one. "And you have my condolences. Even if it has been some time since her passing, the pain of such... I-It is not a wholly alien thing to me." Following her response, if any, Nobody sucks in a breath and claps his hand. "Anything else we should know prior to departure?"

She gives a look of reflection "Thanks yes, it's been a long time ago since she passed. Other than you having your own tents maybe horses, thats pretty much it. You got forty minutes to prepare." She says then turns to go do her preparations.
Nobody glances from Fargen and Millie before giving a sheepish grin. "U-understood. Uhm... w-well be back shortly then, as I believe we left our horses stabled elsewhere... and tents would perhaps not be a bad idea for so extended a trip." He rubbed at his chin in thought for a bit. "... Ah, but right. Let's be off then quick. Uhm, tho', if you might know of any establishment here that might sell tents and directions to such, it would be much appreciated Ms. Millie." He asks of the dwarfess.

Sorry about the late reply. I'm teaching a summer camp for the next couple weeks so am CRAZY busy.
You make it back on time enough to notice a strange wagon has joined the wagon train. Almost vistanish It has conveniently parked near the spirits lory. A middle aged woman sits in the waggoneers seat. A sign on the side of the wagon says Allia Yaga's Wares
Fargen eyes Allia, "Some magic is common, but its purpose can be great. For I know four common spells that can ward against evil, comprehend languages, beguile minds, and alter one's appearance. If you know these's spells, I'd like to purchase their scrolls as well as two pawn's and one knight's healing potion."
Fargen pulls out the party loot and pays with the least valuable and heaviest coin first.
Fargen ranks the strength of healing potions like they were chess pieces: pawn (common), knight (greater), bishop (superior), castle (supreme).
You find the woman pleasant speaking with a strange accent. You purchase what you need and right as you finish the wagon train begins to leave. You see Allia pack up and leave with you. You look towards where you're going for a moment. Then look over towards the vistanish wagon and find its nowhere to be seen.
Although tempted to chime in with a few other suggestions, Nobody's only commentary during the exchange had been... no, actually he stayed quiet and jotted down some notes. By the time in which he's done, absently following along with the others, he looks up in confusion seeing the mysterious wagon gone. "That... was... No. I-It's... best not to think about that one too much." He mumbles as he mounts up on his horse and hurried along to catch up with their end of the train with a nonplussed Yanda riding shotgun.

The long wagon train sets out heading west first towards Baldurs Gate at an eight hours a day slow pace which you think will take about 15 days. The weather is nice but cloudy
You guys picture riding along keeping pace at a walk to a trot with your horse Give me a marching order which includes a point you're at guarding the wagon. Sorry Millie next to Dorin already has shotgun with a heavy crossbow at her side. And Lorban is sitting at the rear of the wagon which has a porch like area for one and a chair unless he wants to walk.
(For some reason I'm thinking "Wagon Train" mixed with "Mad Max")
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Since they have quite a bit of time, Thufir would often ride ahead or behind their booze cart looking at the others in the caravan and trying to get some information on why they’re on the move, and to see if he can pick out any groups that might be part of the Cult
