"Y'know what?" Thufir says, thinking of the cultists and clearly a bit bored, "I think it's time to make some friends." He then fills up a couple wine skins with beer from the keg, finishes his glass, and walks over towards the cultist wagons and says loudly as he approaches, "Ya'll are too quiet! We've made some good friends in this here train! Who'll have a pint with me?!" He then holds out the wine skins towards the others, acting friendly, and a bit tipsy. ((persuasion? 25))
The guards don't fire with a 25 but they do train their crossbows on Thufir "We got an interloper wanting to drink with us. Seems genuine." Said, as they look you over. Deception please.
“Hey gents. No need for that. We’re all headed the same way here.” Thufir says as he uncorks one of the skins offering it to the nearest guard
Though it feels a bit harsh, I guess it’s understandable to apply disadvantage to me with this group (which is what asking for a second roll essentially does. Creates another chance for failure).
Fargen holds back a bit as Thufir heads into the cultist camp. Bargaining at the market is one thing, but the dwarf had no illusions of his 'acting'.
The dwarf sighs and whispers to Nobody (and Kissa if she's not already joined Thufir), "Let's not get too close. Probably guards. If we stake out the camp or see one leave with a message, me may find more agents of the cult. Perhaps one of your stealthy folk can follow. I can bestow the the grace of a cat and you'd be little but a whisper..."
"Sorta did that already with Yanda, didn't we?" Nobody, who had despite initially being gone ho' about investigating, changed his tune and hung back upon seeing the "possible" involvement of booze. Fact of the matter was, even hanging back with Fargen seemed to have left him a bit on edge, but he stuck it out.
"But if you mean going forward then, uh... s-sure. I'd volunteer, but I-I'd probably stick out a bit more." He admits and gestures to his height. After looking back to Thufir for a bit, he whispers, "I'm gonna go ahead and see if I can get to the spot those others disappeared around. See if there's more to pick up from there. Shouldn't be away for long." He confesses, and should neither Kissa or Fargen objected, stride away given the cultists caravan a wide berth or as much of one as he can on his way towards the spot Yanda last saw the family. Then from there, though it was liable to be a long shot, if not draw some awkward bit of attention, he'd try to search for tracks that abruptly seem to terminate, before taking a knee and opening his eyes to world of magic.

Coffee and pastries are being served as you sit, Leosin Erlanthar smiles "I am a member of the Harpers and along with the Order of the Gauntlet." He gestures to Ontharr Frume "Thanks to you we've tracked this cult , but they have dispersed some heading East and some heading West. We need you to spy on the ones heading West. Hiding in plain sight in a huge caravan leaving today around noon. You will need to be hired on as guards or whatever employment there is. Complete discretion should be observed for we are trying to find out where this treasure is being taken and why. Follow the Cultists and avoid killing them."
In the window behind the monk you can see the more distant light in the sky which makes you think it might be 8amish. Those that drank last night have a slight hangover.
Frume says "Manage your time well, the caravans has a prompt schedule."
I man and woman come over from the fire they were tending. The woman says
"We'd love to have a drink with you but outsiders are not allowed within our circle of wagons."
They both have a look of recognition upon their face.
"It's best you leave, please."
A few of the guards are looking straight at Fargen.
Fargen sees it is not the time to press for further interactions, "Until tomorrow then, best we get some rest." The dwarf clears his throat and awaits Thufir's recognition before departing.
Rather confused about how it appears that the cultists recognize him, yet still invite him to have a drink, Thufir looks back to Fargen who wants to head back, shrugs, takes a big drink of beer from the skin, and follows back to their camp.
Fargen looks to Thufir, "I suppose that duel back in Greenest marked you among the cult. I do grow weary of this ruse and travel, but I believe our part is to wait and watch. My hammer longs for simpler tactics. If we are lucky, we'll fight a dragon tomorrow." Fargen offers a wink as he heads back to camp and secure the camp for the night.
Part of the group makes it back to the spirit lory with no problem. Finding Dorrin and Millie have already gone to bed. Nobody is nowhere to be seen. Seems the wagon needs a guard.
Nobody is Yanda leading you, or did you leave him to gather the group?
“Guess I’ve got a face to remember,”Thufir says with a grin, asking, “But, if they knew me, why would they still be willing to have a drink? I wouldn’t want to share cups with someone who put my old boss down…”
Kissa curled up next to the remains of the fire and let sleep take her, her new friends obviously had many balls they were juggling currently....they would tell her of them in time she was sure.
