"We weren't sure we could trust you until now," Baltus confessed as Brida nods. "I'm still not sure about all of you," he says looking to Kryane.
"But let's not waste more time," Brida then interjects. "Let's get on the road to the chieftain's stronghold just on the other side of the forest north of the village," she explains leaving Baltus' side to regather he eggs and basket going to the house.

"Ha, don't worry farmboy, you can trust me, just because I scared you doesn't mean I won't do as I said, we will find these monsters, and kill them and then we will find out if someone is behind this and then kill them too. After that I will happily say my farewells to you and be on my way."
He turns to Ursal, patting him on the arm.
" Don't worry we'll be back soon."
Krayne readies his shield for travelling adjusts his sword belt and declares himself ready to head out. The last thing he does is secure his helmet and then he jumps up into the wagon.
"Normally I'd let you be the lookout but you still look very tired" he says to Viktor "I'll keep my eyes open, don't worry."
It takes an hour to reach the stronghold. In the distance ahead you can see the defensive wall already made of timber 10ft high which you can not see anything else inside but the great mountains from beyond.
Approaching the gates the watch tells Baltus to stop and state the parties business. All is exchanged but oddly the boy leaves out the direct attack on the Gunnulf's house but bends the truth that the attack was on the village itself. One of the guards leaves and after a short wait comes back the gates are then opened.
"You seek audience with your chieftess," a young woman approaches in hide armour holding a spear.
She's blind and fair. She stands 6' tall, has tattoos on her arms and neck, as well as wearing cut as well as fine leathers. She looks intimidating but her expression is curious.
Behind her you see the stronghold is a mini-village all its own. It's sprawling ground either half planted and half harvested with houses spread throughout. At the center however a temple of Aegir stands carved out of wood and ivory. Then behind it a long structure resembling a great hall. It is also carved of dark wood and ivory with a plume of black smoke rising from a chimney at its center.

Viktor agrees with Krayne as they head out to the stronghold.
once at the stronghold Viktor watches and listens, seeing what the others, in particular the Gunnulf siblings, will do or say. Viktor takes note of Baltus's reluctance to tell the full truth about the happenings at the farm.
as the gates are opened to the stronghold and the blonde women approaches, Viktor gives her an apprising look.

The woman seems like a soldier/guard to you Viktor. You gather nothing very interesting about her appearance, it's all pretty much you get what you see.
Baltus nods at the woman and the party to follow. You move through the village of Norse peoples gaining stares from everyone. It's ALL humans with one or two half-elves popping up into view however. Moving around the temple of Aegir you reach the longhouse/great hall. (Picture a sea theme Edoras).
"Come but leave you weapons," the female guard instructs pointing to another set of guards approaching the party towering blonde massive of barabian muscle with black face paint and dreadlocks of blonde and red hair.
The female guide doesn't wait but jogs up the stone steps that look like the tentacles of the kraken, the door of the great hall you walk into looks like the mouth of Aegir himself made of dark wood and ivory.
Inside Pyra is lighting incense for Eerika's head priestess of Aegir, your direct superior, and not particularly looking forward to another day of rituals for the chieftess and he husband whom are trying conceive an heir.
OOC: Shy you can explain what your doing inside the great hall before the party enters and then response to them if and when they enter!!

Pyra hides a loud yawn behind her hand as she lights the incense and tries to blink away the sleep in her eyes.
"Oh goodness. I need to stop staying up so late." The blue tiefling mumbles, before reaching into her pack to pull out a small book. Inside there are various pictures of flowers, herbs, and other plant life. She writes down a few notes into to the book as she counts out some ingredients.
"Alright lets see. Ginseng, Red Clover, Milk Thistle, some Stinging Nettle for tea: let's hope I can actually get the chieftess to drink some this time. What else is there, wild yams, wild raspberries, and some pop-" She cuts herself off, looking back at the ingredients and then to the book. A heavy sigh escapes her, as her long forked tail slaps the floor in quiet frustration.
"No poppy seeds. Great. That's just... lovely. Aegir? Aegir?" She calls out in a hushed voice, looking around for her superior.
Krayne the two men chuckle at you, they both are nearly a head taller than you but nod. The redhead takes your sword looking at it curious before respectfully place it in a pile with other weapons you see on the other side of the doors, the blonde female guide looks tense. She looks impatiently at the rest of the party but does not open the doors just yet.
Inside Pyra you turn to see Hedda is at the side of the chieftess. You have not been at the stronghold long having from here from the Black Forest at the foot of the Skadi mountains. Hedda never seems far from the warrior woman's side whom you've come to admire but not exactly understand. You are grateful for the shelter they gave you but are keen to leave not having healed and learned a great deal more than you already knew. It's been about six months since you first arrived and gain favor with the chieftess because of your ways with healing herbs and nature.

Viktor hands over his quarterstaff to the guards, he then remembers his cross bow, unstrapping it from the outside of his back. handing that off to the guards, Viktor makes to enter the hall. stopping mid stride, Viktor turns back to the guards with a sheepish look on his face. Viktor reaches down and removes 2 daggers, one from a hidden pouch in each boot.
"sorry, I bought these when I started this line of work, but I generally don't make much use of them so I, tend to forget they are there"
Viktor heads in to the hall behind Krayne. Viktor notices the horns on one of the individuals at the other end of the hall.
"a tiefling, interesting..."
Not being sure of the local customs and protocols when dealing with rulers, Viktor waits for the Gunnulf siblings to take the lead.
OOC: Viktor you haven't entered the great hall yet... I am just speaking to Shy/Pyra who's inside the hall!!
Baltus and Brida have no weapons to yield following the woman inside. It's a long hall with several groups of people gathered in areas with seating. People inside the hall are heavily armed however their clothing completely different than what you've seen in Stokkr and in the stronghold since your arrival. The throne is at the extreme end of this long hall where a large pit with an open fire is light in the middle of the long room. As you pass through it there is several carved wooden columns holding up the thatched roof with banners hanging down from them.
As you pass through your notice more redheaded and blonde humans as well as a small group of fair skinned, golden haired, and brunette half-elves. Among these people there stands a tiefling at a shrine for Aegir on the wall just before the throne.
OOC: Shy if you'd like to describe your character please do so now. Also if you'd like to verbally engage the party you can now as well before they reach the throne!!
P.s. Everyone describe your character as they pass the tiefling ok?
Human twins Baltus and Brida Gunnulf are teens, blonde hair, fair skinned, and well muscled from farm labor. Brida has her hair braided in a fishtail braid now her back and Batlus' hair is long about to his shoulders but well kept. They are hearing leather pants with cloth tunic made of soft blue fabric and good worn leather boots. They are both wearing cloaks made of the same green material that look well made but worn. Baltus leads the group and Brida is at his side she is the only female among the motley crew. What jumps out at you most among them however is another male tiefling.

Pyra is brought out of her thoughts by the entrance of the newcomers. The small blue tiefling's wide eyes stare down the group curiously. Her long black hair is currently pulled into a crude bun, showing off the bandages that wrap around her neck. What is most noticeable though is her lower half. The skirts of her robes are cut to frame a set of long goat-like legs that end in cloven hooves. A wave of nervousness passes over her as her hands subconsciously attempt to bundle her skirt together in an attempt to hide her legs from sight. While the chieftess and the others had grown used to her more demonic traits, she wasn't sure about these new people, though she does relax slightly when realizes there is another horned figure among the men.
"Oh my. I wish the Lady had told me to expect guests, I would have taken the time to make myself look nicer." She says in a half hearted, joking way as she scans the others for their reactions.
Viktor is a red skinned tiefling with horns that start from his forehead and pass back over his head. He wears his cloak hood up to cover this head, even though now inside.
Noticing the female tiefling, Viktor's tail flicks with emotion. As the group heads towards the throne and near the tiefling, Viktor gives her a fang filled smile and a nod.
As Viktor turns back to the throne, a spider crawls out of his cloak and onto his shoulder.
OOC: You're going to put on a helmet in the middles of a crowded room but be stealthy about it? Not really sure that's achievable. If you would have placed it on or worn it like Krayne wears his it might have gone unnoticed. You are putting on a helmet, it's kind of impossible for people not to notice it. Everyone is however going to be speaking in common if that helps!
(OOC: i was hoping the helm could be an open faced helm, modified to fit around my horns. that way Viktor would be able to wear it under his hood at all times. if that isn't the case, next time could I use my Mask of Many Faces invocation to hind it from view?)
OOC: Yes, I assumed it would be modified to fit around your horns. If you would have indicated this beforehand but I don't allow backtracking. In future indicate you are placing it on and I'll allow you to cast is as an action as indicated then hide behind Mask of Many Faces! We're waiting for Kryane to check-in then we'll move on.
Baltus nods at Pyra and Brida smiles softly.
"Hello," Brida says looking at your journal then at you Pyra. "I...you're only the second tiefling I've ever met," she adds still smiling.
"Brida..." the teen girl is quick to answer but trails off catching a hard look from her twin brother before she continues, "Brida Gunnulf," she adds standing a little straighter than before as her twin brother sighs.
"Baltus," he then says, "not that you asked," he adds moving towards the throne.
