"Hey guys! Good to see you all!" Jedavii gives a wave as he approaches.
He looks toward the manor. "Is this 'Jane' trapped in... like... a box? A magic spell? I'm sure we'd be able to pull it off but it'd be good to know what to expect."
Rosie and Greta chuckle and snort. "No, sillies! She's not a person! She's a doll!"
"Yeah! Sassy Sally Jane is a talking doll who dishes out funny one-liners at opportune moments!" Greta says with a grin.
"I heard that the faculty locked her in the attic to keep other students from getting their hands on her,"Larine muses. "She was a... what did they say?"
"A bad influence, and a detriment to attention spans. But it would be quite funny if she made a reappearance!" Aurora states.
"Anywho - think you guys are up for it? Breaking into Dapplewing Manor and rescuing the sassiest of Sally Janes from her prison?" Rosie stage-whispers while striking a dramatic pose.
"I am not sure..." Robin says a bit hesitant now. "If the instructors put her there, then I don't want to get into trouble by freeing her..." She wrings her hands a bit as she looks to the building. "They might deduct points from my next test, or something..." She looks like she is more worried about a teacher's disapproval than any dangers involved in the potential rescue.
"I agree," Marius says, coming to stand next to Robin in an effort to create an united front. "Friendly games and challenges are one thing, but breaking into a school building to take something the staff felt shouldn't be on campus is very much another." He gives the four instigators a slightly sharp look, but maintains a small smile.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Canon, raised in a society in which a very specific level of disregard for authority was expected, if not required, says "A doll doesn't sound like something so dangerous it needs to be under lock and key. Though I would prefer not to get caught—I'm not the stealthiest of people."

"Oh, come on, guys! Where's your sense of adventure?" Rosie asks. "Look, if you're quiet and quick, you won't get caught, and you won't get in trouble! And even if you do, they're not gonna deduct points from your next test! You may get detention or have to attend remedial classes, but that's if you get caught. Just if!"
"That being said, if you all really don't want to do it, I suppose we can't force you," Aurora shrugs. "But in case it entices you further..."
Aurora produces from her backpack a sphere made from thick glass. "This is a driftglobe - a magical light source that can follow you as you move, even provide sunlight if you need it. I'd be willing to part with it in exchange for Sassy Sally Jane. My little sister Aria would love to have a doll like her, and her birthday is coming up, so I thought it would be the perfect present," she sighs, giving Canon a sad look. "Wouldn't you please help me get the greatest gift for my sister?"
Canon doesn't get the sense they're trying to trick or hide anything from the group - they seem to be earnest in their dealings so far.
Canon, not wanting to disappoint his mentor Aurora, but also his mind filled with possible applications of a portable, controllable light source to musical performances, simply says "I'm in."
"What do the rest of you think?" Robin asks, still looking hesitant, but obviously interested in helping out. She will go along if the rest of the group wishes to do this.
"I still don't like it," Marius says, raising his hands in mock surrender. "But it seems I don't really have a choice. No property damage, and no getting caught, at least."
"Ok..." Robin says with a sigh. "Let us do this then..." She looks to the ones urging them to do this. "Can you tell us anything about what to expect in there?"
They all cheer, quietly, at your agreement. "Um, well, there are some servants in there. I heard from one of the juniors that attempted this in their first year that they're magical constructs that can repair themselves, but it takes a while to do so. If you beat them up, they'll eventually fix themselves up. They also only stick to certain parts of the manor and don't stray beyond their posts unless they spot an intruder. Just be careful! If you make too much noise, some faculty will definitely come and check out what the ruckus is."
"Good luck!" Your friends say as you head toward the manor. It's quite a large, impressive mansion. And as such, it is bound to have many entrances. So - will you attempt to use the front door, or look around for another means of access?
"The way of my clan would be to charge headlong, screaming battlecries, in a frontal assault," Cannon muses aloud, "But I once read the works of an ancient scholar, who described the tactics of some kind of large apes, moving quietly in small groups and striking from the shadows. I think that approach might work better for us, if we can find some less obvious entrance that might be less guarded."
"Agreed, the front is likely not the best option here." Robin agrees. "Let's keep together though and move around the building looking for a different option."
Canon takes the coil of rope attached to his pack, pierces an arrow through it a few inches from one end as a kind of makeshift grapple, and tosses it towards one of the second story windows. [Athletics: 18]

Jedavii breathes out a sigh. "To be honest, I'd be all for it. But not without them." He nods to his friends. "I'm out if they're out. Sorry guys."

Jedavii grins. "I hear ya. Don't want to ruin a good birthday party, do we? Let's do it!"

"Ok then." Robin says with a nod. She looks to her companions. "Let's do this quick and quiet like."

Jedavii peers upward, toward the roof. "Sassy Sally Jane's in the attic, right? Maybe we can start higher up!"
He looks toward the upper floors and the roof, looking for a window or vent that they can use.
It does look like there are some windows along the second story. A successful rope toss may catch onto something and allow you to hoist yourselves up.
(If you have some rope, I'd say you can use athletics to throw it up there and see if you're able to catch anything.)
