Stor slides into a seat next to Tel’ure across from Garry Landen. Grasping his holy symbol, he whispers a prayer and places a Zone of Truth around the man. “Yes, we have heard much about you. Do you know Vang of Team 3? Did you meet her in the library last night?”
Stor leans across the table eagerly awaiting the answers to his question.
Mistakenly did a +3 to that save, when it should have been +6, sorry about that. The save was a 14, not a 11. You would know that Gary saved against the spell.
Garry gives the coin in your hand a raised eyebrow. "Seems like a coin that was touched by a reclaimer." He acknowledges. "As far as being one I personally touched, I very much doubt that."
Stor
You feel Garry resist your spell and be unaffected by it. He glares around, catching the eye of the guards near you. "Is it allowed for other teams to use magic against a person of another team now?" He calls out. He turns back to Stor. "Of course I know Vang, she is part of team 3, and I did my research prior to coming here, so I would know who I would be up against in the trials. As far as the library goes, I have been here in the dining room, ask anyone." He waves a hand around, to encompass the area.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The response elicits a deep chuckle from Tel'ure. "Oh, it is, in the pursuit of this murder investigation. But I digress. You did not touch that coin? You aren't involved in this matter in any way, shape or form?"
He withdraws a slip of parchment from his bag. "Vang did some investigating before she was killed. She found out about that little ambush you planned. I'm sure you're surprised we're even alive at all, hm? I wonder what else you planned. The ambush for us, the murder for Vang. And then... you or one of your associates drag her body to our dormitories."

The madwalker then turns to the guards. "Tell me... ONE of the reclaimers was involved in this matter. This compound is closely guarded, yes? No one in or out? Are there any other reclaimers on this property? We can narrow our search down to one of them."
Stor spreads his arms wide “Well desperate times call for desperate measures and all of that, you know? Still, no harm done.” He listens to Tel’ure’s questions and adds “Vang was killed because she was getting close to the truth. In the Dining Room, all night? You will have to do a better alibi than that. Where were you last night? You don’t think this coin is yours, why not?”
"Are you accusing me of killing a member of team 3 or in ambushing you on your way here?" Garry asks with a chuckle and a can-you-believe-this-nonsense look at the guards. he glances to the coins again. "Why would I have used those coins?" He asks back, and what proof do you have that they were not touched by one of those skilled as I am, but touched well before being brought into this place? It could have been done by anyone and just brought here from elsewhere." He sighs and glances around, then lowers his voice a bit... "it was Bobbum who told me about an altercation between Vang and you guys." He shrugs. “I considered the gossip irrelevant because Bobbum seemed too talkative and prone to lying, and I don’t like that at all.”
The guard officer shrugs. "I do not believe there are any other reclaimers on any of the other teams." He puts in. "I also do not believe any other reclaimer is currently within the fortress." He eyes Garry for a long moment. "It is true that those coins could have come from outside of the fortress, but, as my pa always said, the easiest answer is usually the correct one. You, Garry, are a reclaimer, the only one currently inside of the fortress. It would seem likely that you would be the only real option for where the coins came from."
Garry
"Even if I used those coins, though I still say that I have never seen them before, what, exactly do you believe I used them for?" Garry asks with a long-suffering sigh. "What, exactly, do they prove?"
Corgretor gives a sly smile, "It's not what you did with the coins, its where you used the coins. Found, with the guards here as witnesses, in a closet with blood smears that were found near where your victim had last been seen. It seems, when your secret was discovered by a member of another team, you killed her, then used that murder to try and remove another team from your path. Does the rest of your team know what kind of person they're working with? Do the sponsors?"
"Seems like you have it all figured out then." He says with a bemused smile. "Except for how I could have done it, while sitting here the entire time. Plus, just because you found coins, used by a reclaimer at some point in the past, by a crime sceen, how does that lead you to me. If you had left the coins there, you might have had some experienced investigator check it out, and tell you exactly how long those coins were there. How do you know they haven't been laying there for years?" He turns to the guards. "From all I can tell you have nothing but coincidental evidence, found by those who have nothing to lose by contriving whatever will get themselves off of the hook. I will gladly turn myself over to the guards, and let this go to trial, as nothing said up till now looks likely to be able to prove or disprove anything." He holds up his hands towards the guards. "Arrest me if you wish, I have nothing to fear from these groundless accusations."
Guards
"That is not necissary." The guard officer says. "Consider yourself under house arrest though, as you will not be allowed to leave the fortress until after the trial has been completed." The guard officer then turns to the group of you. "Let us move away from ehre a bit, then we can discuss things."
Tel'ure narrows his eyes at Garry. "You have been sitting there. In that exact spot. Since last night. You're either far more clueless than you think you are, or you clearly need a more interesting life. Your story is ridiculous. Good-bye for now, and good riddance."
He turns to follow the guards, spitting at the ground as they leave.
Stor stares across the table and smiles “Be seeing you around Garry. Be warned, if you are not involved in this, someone out there wants to make it look like you are.” Stor gets up and follows the others out, whispering as he catches up.”Now what? He was our best lead. Should we question his teammates on team 1?”
"Garry is a fool." The officer informs you as you gather a distance from the dining hall. "With what we have gathered, it is fairly clear he is the person involved here. It would be nice to get any further details we can gather, from any other potential whitnesses, but there is likely enough already to convict in a trial." The officer looks around at the group of you. "What do you think? Continue investigating, and see if we can dig up any further dirt on Garry there, or call it here and submit what we have?" He shrugs. "The more we dig up, the better our chances of convicting him."
Corgretor frowns for a moment, "As much as I'd like to ensure his conviction, quickening his arrest is probably more important. We don't want to give him a chance to slip away or cause more trouble. Perhaps you could have some of your people take him into custody, perhaps with another team or two to support you to prevent his escape, and then you could invite the victim's teammates to join us in the library to investigate? What all do you think?"
Eboko finally speaks up. He’s been silently watching and listening to everything.”We need more proof. I agree we should continue investigating- we lack solid evidence- and we should see if he acted alone.”
"Garry is under arrest." The officer says with a shrug. "As is Stor here for that matter." He gives a glance to Stor. "You might have convinced me that you are unlikely to have done this, but that does not mean you are free to leave this place." He turns back to the group at large. "Garry will not be able to leave this place either, not until this is finished. If you want all of his team gathered, then that can be done, but remember that there are other teams here as well, any of whom might have seen or heard something of importance."
Corgretor nods approvingly, "Then yes, let us talk to the other teams. What do you all think, probably better to talk to them one at a time or all at once? And perhaps bring in the victim's team, or at least give them the information we have so far, I'm sure they'd want to be kept in the loop."
(Make out a plan of how you wish to do this, then we can move onward. You can, with the guard's help, get each team to talk with you all at once or you can simply move around the fortress and speak to each person as you find them.)
