The Drunken Dragon is never quiet during these evenings. Mercenaries, farmers, merchants, many come here during the evening for food, ale, and stories. The Drunken Dragon attracts many mercenaries as it is a popular location to hire adventurers. Which is good, as Larkdust also attracts thieves, bandits, and cultists in rather large numbers. Merchants represent their caravans in the recruiting room. You are seasoned adventurers, and have taken several contracts here before. However, times are changing, and finding other mercenaries to work with might be beneficial.
Introduce your characters, everyone! You can have them start from a position of already being in the tavern or have them come in. Feel free to start a tavern brawl, argue with the bartender about prices of ale, or cast fireball in the middle of the tavern.

“Rhythm” fell into his old ways easily. He didn't necessarily approve of the noise, but then again He DID approve of the drink… accommodations had to be made.
Drink and Drama were spiritual lubricants yes? … that’s what everyone here was doing, in their own unique ways. the rhyme of life around Rhythm was beautiful chaos in action.
Rhythm looked around, to see who else was looking around. Waiting to be approached was certainly more boring than just instigating. Even when you knew the eventual outcome, one had to partake in the dance. she remembered The best place to find those strong enough to be worthy of her Skills were either those that could not just start a bar brawl but finish one, or those mercenaries who could catch the keen eyes of those looking to exchange platinum or artifacts of value for service.

Ren sat at a table drinking hard and being bored to death by the blowhard orc warrior she had finished up her last job with. She had tried being nice about wanting to seek her fortune separately from him, but she had yet to find a good opening to ditch him.

Rhythm called upon his mage hand under the cover of load conversation and pulled 1 gold coin out of his pocket. Enclosing the coin with the mage hand he then cast light on it, and sent them toward the barkeep. As the hand got there, Rhythm pointed his way and messaged: “send however much ale this covers to the ears in the corner.”
he twitched his longgreys about, just enough for one of them to pop out from under his hood like a flag at full mast.
just incase he was really dense, Rythm also manifested a minor illusion over his head, a small late night style neon sign of an arrow point down, flashing every 2 or 3 seconds.

“Why yes I am a Rabbit, and yes I am capable of what others call magic, but I would be a point of order to note that while magic flows through me perhaps, I am not in fact a “magic rabbit” good sir!”
“And are you a magic crab perchance? What are YOU capable of?” Rhythm asks comedically as he places his hand on Jhimas’s Shoulder and casts guidance on him.
Intently watching for his reactions, Rhythm is slowly looking this newcomer’s get-up from head to toe with a smirk, as well an eye to what the barkeep did with his clashing gold piece and the earthy Ale he was starting to get jumpy for.
Sitting in a corner of the tavern, an elderly looking half-elf can be spotted. He slowly sips a mug of ale as he watches all of the patrons of the tavern. His retainers are currently taking care of business elsewhere.

A dark skinned dwarf Balafor enters the tavern with two others a human and a mountain dwarf, all covered in soot and grime from working the forges. As they take a seat and order ale, Balafor pulls out some copper wire and begins twisting it to give it form. He scans the tavern to see what sort of folk are here mostly out of curiosity.
“ No offense taken at all ! my thoughts at times are a bit jumpy“ he says as he thumbs his foot against the ground a few times.
“”do forgive me Fish mage ! Jhimas yes? it is an honor to meet another Who shares my experience of being of the Stranger races.” Starting his eyes around the room to check if anyone is watching them
“perchance might I ask what forms of magic do you practice and from where does your power come? Shall we say are you studied or born with it? “
“ you’ll have to teach me… Cards and coins I know, I always bet tails, but dice will be a new game for me!
rhythm Knew games of chance were really games of balance , but if you put your money right, A run of luck in either direction could turn quickly into fortune
Rhythm slapped down a few copper onto his side of the table and stood up to stand over the table. If one were standing behind him one would have seen a wagging short tail excited to see who fate favored more today. “A few copper to learn couldn't hurt” He pushes a couple into the middle of the table.
rememebring that which he’s let slip his mind. Without looking he pointed his index finger towards the bar and messaged the barkeep once again. “Can we get a move on those pints? Ale ain’t gonna drink itself”
