Josiah and Torla can see them currently. The People at the overhang, Imras,Tyrvan,Brystel and Bean cannot. But you do hear what sounds like a localized crack of thunder and the sound of a tree falling.
(Tryvan and I both left the overhang to scout what the voices were. Is this happening before that?)
Brythel quickly but (hopefully) quietly Brythel heads over to where he heard the tree

Tyrvan and Imras, you both are trying your best to stay low in the thick foliage and gain sight on whatever was making that noise. Almost simultaneously, you both unknowingly step onto a pile of dried branches that Snap loudly. Glancing at eachother and then towards where you heard the voices. You see a Elven female watching the both of you with a smile on her face. Just as the Large individual strikes the tree. Brystel is having just as much luck, having caught the attention of the Female Elf just after Tyrvan and Imras.
"Well, this is going to be easier then Our Lord implied, It's as if they are throwing themselves at us." The Female elf smirks as she watches the 3 of you. A Small child steps out from behind her, Gripping a pair of daggers in their hands.
OOC: So much for luring them away.
Torla grabs her amulet, casts Hold Person on the male elf and yells, "Run!"
OOC2: The elf must roll a wisdom saving throw of 13 or higher.
OOC3: Did Torla rest at all? Even a short rest?
None of you have had anything close to a long rest. You could have had a short rest while waiting out the storm.
Male Elf Wis Saving Throw : 18
The male elf smirks as he seemingly shrugs off the attempted hold person. "That was a poor choice Dwarf"
Tyrvan,imras,Torla. Make a Wisdom saving throw.

I'm assuming Josiah can see the fight breaking out from his position, since you said he could see the four figures talking with Torla.
If that's the case, he maintains his cover, curious to see if he might be able to learn anything more about these figures and their 'master,' but he also readies his longbow and nocks an arrow.
You can see the four individuals from your position Josiah, They seemingly havent noticed you or Your Panther.
Is Josiah close enough to hear any of the conversation?
Last I checked you have a decent Passive Perception so you can hear The conversation pretty well.
Ok, I'm using two hit dice to regain some health from Torla's short rest: 4 9
Torla readies her mace and takes a defensive stance.
Wisdom saving throw torla.
Wisdom: 18
So what can bean determine? I assume i can hear the "run" and know the elves stealthed into the rain. But brystel and i are are still under the coverage right, and he readied his gun.
Bean you are left in the overhang with the cubs. Tyrvan and Imras left followed shortly by brystel. You heard a tree fall and heard Torla shout RUN.
Tyrvan, imras and Torla you all suddenly freeze as you feel your body lock up. Unable to move you are left staring at the four strange individuals before you as The Elven man extends his arm in between the 3 of you, While his other hand seems to grip something beneath the robe on his chest.
You are all paralyzed. Attacks against you have advantage, any attack that connects within 5 feet is considered a Crit. You automatically fail Dex and Str saving throws.
Ooc: all three of you? Damn Thats a 4th lvl hold person. 7th lvl caster minimum.
