Bean scuffs himself on the tree bark. "Torla, im not having any more luck than you."
Torla huffs in frustration. "Do you see anything?" she asks the elf woman.
***** scoffs at you Torla. "Why even chase these Cubs if you cannot find them on your own?"
She does make a perception check with advantage because of her favorite terrain: 15
Torla, you do see the Elven woman look up into the tree, she arches her left eyebrow and conceals a smile but does not say anything.
Josiah, it is your turn in the Initiative.

Josiah steps out of hiding and takes a shot with his longbow at the giant, not expecting to do too much damage to it, but hopefully pulls its attention away from Brythel.

Just realized that attack should actually be at advantage since Josiah is hidden, so here's the second roll: 9

Josiah, your arrow catches between the plates of the Half-giants armor, Just above his shoulder. Expecting to see a wince of pain, you instead see the arrow fall out of place. Seemingly just unable to pierce the half-giants body.
18 misses, Earlier Beans 20 hit him. Fairly certain you can guess what his AC is at this point.
Top of the initiative order, Byrthel your turn.
***** slings her bow over her shoulder and across her torso. She unhitches a rope that was hanging from her belt and tosses it to you Torla. "Go for a Climb Dwarf."
Torla looks down at the rope in her hands and then back at the elf. "I appreciate that you're willing to help, but how is this rope going to help me climb a tree I've already failed to climb?"
OOC: Is Bean still hanging on to a branch above Torla? LOL
