Tyrvan winces as the giant begins to bear down again Brystel. He sees an arrow fly from somewhere in the brush again to stick into the cracks on the giants armor. That ranger must still be around here somewhere then.

(I'm thinking about trying to do something probably stupid and see if I can grapple the child and get a knife to her throat to get the giant called off of brythel. Should I roll initiative for that since I'm not in the order right now?)
"I found Yin, but not Yang!" Torla calls down to Bean. "Should I try to keep climbing? I don't want to let go of Yin and it's going to be hard to climb with only one free hand."
As torla yells out to you Bean, Make a perception check.
Imras I would say you would join the Initiative order after you do what you are planning to do. If you want to get close to the child and grapple her. It will be a Stealth check and a Grapple check.

(Normally I’d just sit back and stay safe, but imras has personality trait: “My friends know they can rely on me, no matter what.” As well as being very loyal to his shipmates. I don’t feel like he’d be able to sit by and do nothing while brythel gets slaughtered by the giant. Hoping I can get it called off long enough for brythel to escape then try to do so myself...)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Child is going to make a Acrobatics or athletics check with disadvantage as you grapple her to attempt to slip out of it. Check: 14
Surprisingly enough, the child is alot more spry then you had originally thought Imras and slips threw your grasp as you attempt to grab her. She has tears streaming down her face and turns to run away from you, in the direction of her ally. You have a Attack of opportunity if you wish.
The half-giant, hearing the child screech from fear. Turns and sees your attempted grapple of the child. He is now focused on you Imras.

Sure, after the failed grapple attempt. When the child runs away from you, you dash away from her.

Well you have it, with your full movement from a dash and the 50 feet from the original position to the half-giant. You are 80 feet away from him.
Byrthel it is your turn in the initiative.

Perception: 12
Korrigan Stealth: 24
LOL!!! Of COURSE that roll would be a Nat 20...
Korrigan is like a Invisible Predator hiding in the tree, Torla you dont even notice the Panther as it slinks pass you, 3 feet away from you.

Imras attempts to sneak up behind the child and grab her and put his dagger to her throat.
Stealth: 17
grapple: 15
(if grapple is successful) Imras hisses in the child’s ear, Call him off.

Imras roll Initiative.
(No attack, the goal was only to catch her and try to get the giant called off. Imras doesn’t relish the thought of actually hurting a child)
initiative: 8
(ouch. That’s unfortunate. We’ll see if I last long enough to th to run away again...)
(Actually, after I fail the grab can I use my bonus action to dash and move away again? Or if not run away, dodge)
Sure, after the failed grapple attempt. When the child runs away from you, you dash away from her.
(That’ll do. I just want distance between me and the giant :p)
