Bean has been pondering. He asks while looking around. "Hey brythel, ive been thinking, you know how to make bullets right? Think we could get something hot enough to melt the gold down there into bullets?"
"Maybe thats what i can fire out of this thing. Maybe they took all the bullets with them and this was just a spare rifle, but how the hell do i reload this thing"
If you allow, investigation of the rifle: 21
Ooc: oh my goodness, eek a g-g-ghost. /banshee. New short sword and magic bow do work. Ima be stabbing air al night.
Brythel, Perception check on the captains quarters.
Imras, there isnt much movement around the ship at all. Leaves are moving from the wind, the flag on the nearby mast is now waving fairly rapidly. You do spot your camp ground quite a distance away, you get a good view of it. You see Torla moving into the shade where Leo is resting. Once more imras the feeling of being watched creeps over you, there is no one anywhere close by but you at this point are sure someone or something is watching you.
Bean, you know there is a slot in the rifle where the cartridge had come out but it had closed back up after expelling the cartridge. looking over the design you do see a lever on the rifle, close to the stock of the rifle, you hit it and the slot opens. 5 of those canisters fall out of the slot and roll onto the deck of the boat.

Brythel, looking threw the door of the captains quarters. The first thing you notice is how dark it is in the room, the windows on the back of the room are all covered in some kind of dirt or dust that completely chokes out the light. You see a desk against the far wall of the room that looks to be fallen over on one side, there is a piece of parchment on the desk with a axe holding it in place. The axe looks like a Bearded wood cutters axe, and it looks like it is in surprisingly good shape compared to the state of its surroundings. You also see a large chest next to the desk, It is made of a dark metal material and is covered in dirt.

Ok so Brythel walks into the room and removes the axe from the table. The axe Feel well balanced for a wood cutters axe, the head of the axe is still razor sharp and you get a feeling this could be more then a simple woodsmen tool. The parchment is similar to the one Imras had found in the crews quarters, its brittle but still legible. It reads:
"Mother, I need off this ship. I thought the crew were finally beginning to accept me but as our supplies run low they have begun to look at me with Hunger in their eyes. The Captain has sworn that no harm would come to me yet He too has a Animalistic look. Im doing my best to remain out of the way of the crew but they-" The note ends abruptly. There are a few spots of dried blood.

Am I the only one getting creeped out that apparently Torla is seeing things immediately around us that the rest of us aren't?
Josiah, still standing on the deck, is getting nervous that there are no signs of anyone else aboard, since he KNOWS he saw movement up here earlier and he KNOWS he just heard footsteps. His eyes dart about at any sign of motion, trying to find some hint at what is going on with this ship.
Perception: 7
((Any chance he'd still have advantage on this since we're technically still on the coast? Or does the fact that we're aboard a ship negate that?))
Brythel quickly pockets the parchment a sad look takes his face for a second but fades, he then looks a bit more at the axe, specifically is there any blood on it

Josiah would have advantage, you are still on the coast.
Brythel, there is dried blood on the blade of the axe.
Torla, you take off running towards the ship, yelling to your crew. Unfortunately the wind is carrying your cries in the wrong direction. Even in a full dash it will still take you 20-25 minutes to get to the ship.

Nodding at Brythel's request, Imras follows into the quarters. "Couldn't hurt to try." He kneels in front of the chest, searching over it for any signs of traps to start.
Investigation: 10
If he doesn't find any traps, he looks around at the others again. "We had a key or two that hadn't fit anywhere yet right? Might as well try that first."

Torla only runs about five minutes before stopping. She huffs and puffs and runs her fingers through her hair. She looks back and forth between where she left Leo and the ship, which doesn't appear to be getting any closer. "Oh, Lord. What to do? What to do?!" She turns on the spot, looking everywhere.
After about 30 seconds, she pounds a fist onto her thigh and turns back toward Leo, not quite running, but hurrying to return to him. She occasionally looks over her shoulder at the ship, silently praying for her comrades' safety.
Bean you hand Imras the key ***** had given to you. Imras puts the key into the lock and turns it. The lock opens and the lid of the chest is thrown open, a gust of wind swirls threw the room. The doors to the room slams close. The air in the room gets cold, cold enough for your breath to cling to the air. Looking into the chest you see bones and a skull.
