Ooc: thank you DM. This is exactly how i wanted beans passengers to be. Honest and truely. Thank you.
Bean slings some sand in the direction of the dirty gnome, "really, poking fun at my intelligence? Ill admit it stings, but i still figured it out, thats what counts"
Torla starts into the jungle when her foot catches on something. She looks down and sees her makeshift bag. She picks it up and places the strap over her head. "Yin!"she calls. The panther cub runs up to her and Torla deposits her in the bag before setting off.
Josiah takes note of Torla's call and Bean's reaction, a look of grim understanding crossing his face, and pointedly turns away without saying anything. He and Korrigan take the lead to bring the group back to the creek where Korrigan was apparently injured.
You originally did not clean the small canteen when it was found, so you traveled with the 3 large canteens full. The small canteen is still dirty.
Josiah, you and korrigan lead the group to the small, rock lined creek Korrigan had shown you earlier. Loose rock cover both sides of the creek, making it a dangerous place to stand. One wrong move and you could easily turn your ankle or break it. The creek is very small, no where near big enough to fill the larger canteens. The small canteen and water skins could be filled here but it would take a few minutes as there is not much water flow.

Bean will attatch the chain of the harpoon to himself and anchor the hrpoon itself to the top of the embankment or a nearby tree and slowly carefully climb down.
Bean in a feat of bravery the world has never seen, Jams the harpoon into a near by tree and descends 5 inches into the shallow creek. As you step in the small creek Bean your foot stops the waterflow and it slowly builds up until it finds a path over your boot. Your boot is now wet. You are all watching him do this. He has stepped down maybe 5 inches.
SNAP The new passenger is standing on the harpoon, Clapping its hands. "Well Done Mighty Bean, you braved the roaring rapids of the SMALLEST CREEK EVER and emerged with a wet foot."

At a quick glance, you could follow it a decent ways Inland to find its source. You would just have to be careful on the Loose rock so as to not sprain a ankle. (Luckily you are still On the Coast, otherwise this would be difficult terrain.) The Creek does seem to go inland for a while before you lose sight of it threw the trees.

North-west, you are almost as far east as the the island can go. The creek goes to the north before turning to the west a little.

Bean mutters. "Alright i admit i may have been over cautious." head down pouting at the tiny water trickle.
Bean adds. " we can follow it twards the source or atleast where it rejoins the main flow if its actually part river. But while we have this chance. Someone pass me a water skin. We will drink and fill atleast one so we cool off a bit"
So bean will wait to be passed a water skin. He will fill it up. Drink. And pass it around so everyone gets a good drink. Filling it back up as necessary.
Torla looks at Bean then up the tiny stream and sighs. "I'm inclined to suggest we head back to the water source we know is viable. It's possible we follow this trickle for half a day to find out it starts at a spring and is no easier to utilize than what we see right now."
I agree with Torla. We know where to find a good source of water that will easily fill all of our containers. Why waste time following a different one that may or may not pan out?

"First things first. Water."
Alright. Water first. Then north.
Torla starts into the jungle when her foot catches on something. She looks down and sees her makeshift bag. She picks it up and places the strap over her head. "Yin!" she calls. The panther cub runs up to her and Torla deposits her in the bag before setting off.
Bean glares at anyone who tries to pipe up about the panther cub. Motioning again a crying version of the throat slit.

Ooc: i dont remember if we took the time to clean the small canteen out last time but we should do that.

ROFL!
Humor aside, how difficult does it look to follow the creek upstream for a ways to try and find its source?

Would we be traveling north?
North-west, you are almost as far east as the the island can go. The creek goes to the north before turning to the west a little.
"What do you guys say?" Josiah asks. "Chance following the creek?"
(Which direction was the other water source we found yesterday?)
