She flinches at the sound of Lanky’s spell. “Easy...big...fella...remember if anything dangerous is near, I’ll let you know.” She nods her head towards her spear on her back. “Plus, we don’t know if they’re the good kind or the bad kind. They might be helpful! Like, if I was a spirit and it really sucked, I’d try to talk to you to help me.”
Gabin whips his head from the movement to east over to Lanky's outburst. He finds himself far more on edge at this point and says to Tastie, "On second thought, let's wait for the others to catch up"
Remi strolls over from the west side, striking out with the houses he has looked into. He catches up with Tastie and Gabin, asks “Find somefin sparkly? Do tell!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Lanky gives a growl as the shadow went to hiding and he starts tearing through the house leaving nothing unturned. He leaves behind choas and destruction as he looks for the spirit. “The ****** escaped. Tastie, the only good spirit is a destroyed one.”
Gabin flashes the pendant to Remi and says, "The keepsake Lukas was hoping we might grab. If we accomplish nothing else here, we've at least done this. Now, I'm thinking there might be some kind of records in that relatively big house up there," He gestures toward the house he suspects belongs to the mayor. Shall we head inside and see what we can learn?"
Lanky tears apart the house looking for the spirit but finds nothing, as he leaves, he does notice that the building behind the house holds a sign "The Wand and Hammer".
As the rest of the group gathers around Gabin to see what he has found, he holds up the shiny necklace, and as he does this, a terrified shriek splits the air.
You all look to each other and try to ascertain where it came from, but each of you think it came from a different direction.
Gabin runs up to what appears to be the Mayor's mansion. He pulls so hard on the front door it swings wildly and almost comes off the hinges. You peer into the darkness of the entrance the house, standing on the stoop.
Gabin grabs one of his amulets and rubs it with his thumb. A glow begins to emanate from it, shining into the building as Gabin steps across the threshold.

Lanky is On edge after seeing the shadow, and then again from the screeching noise. Reading another mind sliver, Lanky goes to the wand and hammer and searches through it with Echo’s help. Investigation: 21
As Lanky heads over to the Wand and Hammer with Echo, he sees that the sign features a wand crossed with a black smith's hammer. When he enters the front door, the sign that was just hanging by a hook, falls to the ground.
Once he enters the building, his eyes adjust to the light and sees that a thick layer of dust covers the interior of this building. A forge sits dormant in the far corner, a blacksmith’s anvil and an empty quenching trough beside it. On the opposite side of the room are two workbenches with stools.
When he and echo start investigating inside the building, he notices a false panel in the corner of the floor. The false floor hides a steel shield with platinum filigree in the shape of winding serpents (50 gp), two matching shortswords with platinum filigree on the hilt and pommel in a similar serpent motif (25 gp each), and a stack of ten iron bars, each weighing 10 pounds (1 gp each). When he heads over to the workbench, he sees a thin platinum ring of swimming in the dust under a workbench, where it fell and was forgotten.
As Gabin starts his amulet aglow and steps over the threshold into the Mayor's house, he sees that dust covers everything in this wide hallway. Moth-eaten cloaks hang from hooks on the left-hand wall. To the left and the right, hallways branch off into the gloom. Ahead, a stairway leads up to the second floor, and a door stands beneath the stairs, seemingly leading to the back yard.
Remi is following Gabin when the sound occurs, going along to help. He moves over to his left and keeps his eyes peeled for movement, examining the cloaks on the left hand wall.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Lanky comes out of the wand and hammer carrying everything that he found in his long arms. He looks for the rest of the group. “Er…were did you guys go? I uh found some interesting things from this shop, “Hammer and Wand”. I found something that could be magic*”
*unless Lanky knows what it is then he’d tell them.
Elirion looks at the item Lanky found, "Interesting. It was just lying around..." she looks at the state of the villiage and takes a deep breath, "Perhaps I should see what other magic may be nearby."
She rummages in her pack for a large leatherbound book and stands to the side of the entrance. "This will take a few minutes" she says. When the ritual is finished she retraces their steps, then continues following Gabin, concentrating on her spell.
Cast Detect Magic then look at the ring to make sure it is, then walk around, sensing for magic in the areas which they have already visited then move on the mayors house (30' range), before just following along with Gabin again.
She follows Lanky as he impulsively rummages the house. It seems to pay off as he is able to find some cool stuff, "Whoa," she whispers. "Cool stuff." Afterwards, she'll follow the rest of the group to catch up with Gabin, who has seemingly fled in another direction.
Standing in the foyer of the mayor's house, Tastie whistles and looks up the stairs and at the doorway. "Which way you thinking?" she asks, to no one in particular.
Lanky, you show the ring to Elirion, but you're right - you do not know what it is, other than you suspect it might be magic.
Elirion, the ring makes you pause to see if there is anything else that might be interesting in this poor town. As you take the time to do your ritual, a voice you do not recognize whispers indistinct words in your ear, making your hair stand on end.
The three that are in the manor, take in the state of it all. As you stand there, waiting for the rest to join you, you hear the the terrified shriek again, though it sounds a bit different than you head before..please make an insight check, Tastie, Gabin and Remi.
Gabin had been sure he heard the scream come from inside the house, but now that he is inside, he has no idea what direction to look in. Looking around, he decides on the closest options. He turns to his right and starts to head down the first hallway.
"This way, maybe?"
