As Lanky heads into the mine, his feeling of foreboding is almost overwhelming. The idea of spirits in here as well as the meenlocks almost makes him turn heel and run. He does turn around momentarily, but seeing the group with him, along with their determined faces in the midst of this awful place, sets a new reserve within him. He turns back around and allows Remi to step in front and sneak forward a bit to help give an idea on what's up ahead.
As Remi stealthily moves forward getting a handle at what he hopes to be his new area, he sees (with his darkvision) that main tunnel continues North, while a branch heads South. The dripping continues..
Gabin can dimly see Lanky through the gloom, and sense his hesitation. He steps up beside him and places a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Well... on his upper arm. He's pretty tall after all. "Hey, Lanky, thanks for saving my life back at the mansion. I feel safer just having you along," Gabin says quietly.
Lanky’s insecurities and fears of not being good enough emerge in his mind, maybe it would be better if someone else dealt twith them, and not him. The fear of the monsters is almost too much, clouding his mind, it suddenly broke when Gabin pats his arm and he tries to calm down, heart still racing.
“T-thanks I really appreciate it. I…I I will try my best, no mater if it’s spirit or abomination or evil fey, I will try my best to protect you guys.”
Remi halts upon seeing the southern passage. He points his finger in the dark at Gabin and says to him silently, “I’m going to check out this souther passage, then we will proceed north. Follow behind me at 20 - 25 yards.”
He slowly creeps forward in the dark and looks south.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Gabin's eyes widen fractionally as he hears Remi speak in his head. Thinking he understands what Remi is doing, he reaches for that sensation in his head that the voice came from and tries whispering back silently, "On it."
He then waits for Remi to get a bit ahead before following along quietly at a distance.
As the group moves further into the cave they get their bearings about them even with the oppression the cave brings. Once they hit a fork, Remi stealthily heads South with Gabin following a little ways behind. The rest of the group stays at the fork awaiting news of the South leg.
Remi:
You see that this tunnel ends at a small chamber that holds worn picks, rusty shovels, and two hand carts filled with debris and rags. It appears from this distance that tools and such were left in such a way that those leaving were in quite a hurry.
Remi steps further in the chamber, takes a loop around the periphery, looking for any holes or recent activity, glances at the items then heads back to the group and moves north, keeping silent.

As Remi checks out the area, he doesn't see anything of note until he looks up and sees a swarm of bats, sleeping. He keeps an eye on them as he slowly backs up and away. While he is getting closer to Gabin, Remi hears:
Send your friends home and this will all be yours. The mine, the town, yours to do with as you please...
She keeps an eye back the way they came, and keeping her dark-visioned Eyes on the ceiling for anything strange. Does it look stable? Any exposed weird stuff on the walls or ceiling?
Lanky looks nervous as two oarty members move out of sight. “It’s okay, just have to get closer to the scary monsters. I can do this. You are not worthless. Um…I am going to check to see if they are okay um because they were both targeted last night and I am worried the same thing is going to happen.” Lanky shakes as he pulls out his halberd, preparing for the worst as he slowly moves closer to Remi and Gabin, only stopping when one of them is in sight.
As Tastie looks to the structure of the mine, it appears stable, though the shadows do seem a bit deeper, almost reaching for her at times. Once the group gathers again at the fork, Remi continues to lead them North, coming to another juncture. It looks as though they may be coming close to where the cave-in happened all those years ago.
Elirion continues to move in the centre of the group and just before Remi moves forward she holds out her arm and Arara moves onto his shoulder (( assuming he permits it)). As Remi moves off she crouches down, closes her eyes and connects her senses to Arara's briefly, before opening her eyes and following again. She asks Arara to alert her and peck Remi gently if she sees anything worrisome up ahead.
The tiefling watches the flying creature land on Remi and Elirion go vacant for a moment. “Wait you can see through that thing?! Why don’t you just have it fly forward and report back? Remi could get attacked.”

Remi continues north (west?) with the rest of the party, toward the front and moving quietly, trying to spot one of the creepy beasts.

E'lar will move forward with the frontline, when Remi and Gabin peel off to scout the south passage, he'll wait at the intersection, looking about.

Gabin points up to the north east and whispers, "Is that the cave in up there around that corner?"
Remi sends a message back, “Yes, looks like it. Bats on ceiling in the alcove. Voice in my head, like before. Let’s check northwest first.”
He continues to move slowly, quietly to the northwest, 20 feet or so ahead of the others, eyes open and looking for movement.
