Elirion returns to her senses just in time to hear the question from Tastie. She smiles, glancing at the owl. "Two sets of eyes are better than one, and hers are particularly sharp. Besides ... " she rubs under the bird's wing affectionately, "...she's been with me a while, but she's just an owl. She'd as likely fly into a web or get eaten by some lurking monstrosity. But Remi..." she grins somewhat menacingly, "...he'll be much more enticing to whatever we might find, and far harder to defeat. Gives us a chance to prepare. If I sent her alone, and she died, all we'd know is that something nasty lies ahead. Which we know already."
Remi creeps back and joins the main group, quietly whispers “Dead end. Looks like they were digging there and abandoned it with a cave in. Let’s head northeast. Do you wish me to scout ahead?”

Gabin gulps nervously as he nods to Remi. Thinking for a moment, he reaches around his neck and pulls off one of his talismans. He presses it into Remi's palm and closes Remi's fingers around it. He steps back and nods again.
Remi:

When the wearer of your Talisman fails an ability check, they can add a d4 to the roll, potentially turning the roll into a success. This benefit can be used 2 times, and all expended uses are restored when you finish a long rest.
All of this seemed rather strange to Tastie, and the shivers come unbidden. She'll take a minute or two to look in the "odd divots and alcoves" a bit closer to see if there's anything in them or what they might be used for.
She puts the stuffed bugbear underneath a strap on her shoulder, so it's facing outwards, pretending it's her own set of extra eyes. She whispers to it, "Keep an eye out Buggles, I don't like this mine." She'll follow with the others, behind Lanky if possible.
As the group changes path and heads towards the cave-in, they see large rocks in the pathway that they can easily move past. The tunnel gets tighter and tighter until they come to the main body of the cave-in.

Right after you talk to your new Buggles, you hear, "Please, please help, I beg you!" you're not sure who it is, but you swear you've heard the voice before.
Gavin heads up and gets next to Remi, trying to see if there was anything there, specifically bodies. He does not see any, but notices if they try and dig any further, the rock will continue to cave in, this is not a safe area.
Remi notes the condition of the ground and then heads back, starts to move to the southeast. He sends a message to Elirion, “Can you send your owl down this hallway, it appears there are a lot of alcoves. I need some help with scouting.”

Elirion briefly links her senses with Arara, trying to detect if there is any draft moving through or past the rubble near Remi, or if it is indeed a complete seal. She relates what she found to those near her and to Remi.
Once Elirion has done as described above, she then does as Remi asks and sends Arara southeast to the first set of alcoves where she quickly loops back to return after glancing into each alcove.

Lanky goes up towards the cave in and has Echo use echolocation to see if there’s anything past the rubble. Lanky will help the flying fox out in this endevour. 14
She looks suddenly at Buggles and then realizing it wasn't him, she whispers "What? Where are are you?" She is looking around - a bit wildly to see where it's coming from.
