Remi says as he munches on a biscuit “I’m done with him, can’t stand his lying face. Tastie pulled me back from running him through but I may not be able to resist next time. Let’s move on to Vermeillon, do you think Lukas can at least point us in the right direction?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Gabin's eyes open as the first rays of sun begin to bleed into the sky. He gets out of bed and begins to stretch, easing some of the aches out of his body as his amulets clink against his bare chest. He spends a couple of minutes massaging the patches of fresh pink skin where yestereve's fight had left flesh wounds. With proper care, they should recover without any scar tissue, Gabin thinks to himself. He then slides into his tunic and pants and throws open the window just as the sun crests over the horizon, soaking in its rays.
Shortly thereafter, he begins to see the daily clamor and hubbub begin as the townspeople begin to start their days and set up shop. He straps on his leather armour and heads out of his room, stopping by each of his companions doors briefly to listen for anyone stirring inside.
As Gabin opens the window after his thorough examination of his body, a blue bird flies in and sits on his shoulder. Singing a merry little tune while Gabin finishes getting ready.
As he heads down, he doesn't hear any commotion behind the doors, but hears chatter coming from the common room. Descending the stairs, he sees Lanky, E'lar and Remi eating breakfast and discussing what to do first this morning. His jaw about drops when two whole sentences emerge from E'lar.
Lukas leans on the bar enjoying the company and as Lanky mentions visiting the prisoner, he pipes up "If you're planning on visiting that man, you'll have to wait till afternoon. Orville is rarely up before then, and then it takes him a bit to get around to, well, you know actually working." he shakes his head thinking about it. Turning to E'lar, "How are you liking that tea? Mrs. Shuni likes it, but I don't care for tea, so its hard to know if it's any good or not."
Lanky, you inquire about your intended purchases to Lukas when he has a moment, and he tells you that you will not find a diamond in these parts, let alone worth 50 gold. "Ever since that platinum mine stopped going, well, money around these parts is a little harder to come by, and that means jewels as well. Sorry. As for the rest, I'm sure you'll find potion and the staff at the shop...though not sure about the dog though? You can ask."
After a terrifying night of public peeing nightmares, she heads downstairs for some juice and whatever passes as breakfast here. “I think we should hire him. Might come in handy, you know.” She shrugs. Doesn’t really care too much. “So we heading to nightmare town today?”
"Good morning everyone. Who's ready to get out there,"Gabin says, perhaps a tad too brightly, with his flowers in hand. His avian visitor that morning had served well to divert his thoughts from yesterday's bloody business.
Lanky groggily looks at Lucus. "Um....*yawn* How likely is it that Sam will get out of the jail?" Lanky then gets up after eating the meal. "...Er never mind, if he gets out then we'll take care of him later. I'm going to buy some things that I need."
Since Lanky can't find a diamond, he'll settle for a quarterstaff and a healing potion (how much?). After shopping, he goes back to the others. "I'm ready to go when you guys are."
If he has to wait he'll bind himself to the quarterstaff (he was already bound to the halberd.) Lanky will then shop for herbs ...about 20 gold worth.
Elirion would have tried finish her shopping the night before, but if not possible then would try again early in the morning, returning to the taproom refreshed and ready for the road.
Lanky stops at the shop in town and purchases his quarterstaff (2sp) and a healing potion (50gp) and you join Elirion to get some incense and such. Elirion stops at the Shop for Wizards and purchases the items that interests her (we can hash through this OOC). The two of you return to the Bored Weasel just as everyone else is getting ready to leave.
"Stop by anytime you're in town, I'll have some stew waiting for you!" Lukas exclaims as you all head out the door. He told you that the way to Vermeillon was North of the town and that there was a couple that lived a couple hours up that trail. So finding your way up that way shouldn't be too difficult, after that though, you might have troubles.
Gabin looks up the trail and adjusts his travelling cloak, making sure he has easy access to his mace. The flowers have been carefully tucked into his belt. Turning to look at the others, he says, "Well, no time like the present. Especially when the present still has hours of daylight yet to come. I don't know about you, but it sounds like overring the night in Vermeillon may be something we want to keep to a minimum."
Elirion nods as she stows the last of her items in her pack, wrapping the scroll case and ink bottles in sacking to protect them. "I hope the couple up the road are more forthcoming."
E'Lar, you found the items you were looking for in the shop for wizards.
The six of you head off toward Vermeillon. The sun is bright, the air is crisp and the view of the mountains is quite breathtaking as you begin your journey North. The path, as Lukas said, was not large but also not hard to find. You realize this journey is already more enjoyable with your new companions than when you took your journey to Maerin.
After about an hour or so, you come across a campfire nestled beside a large rock. From a short distance, you can see two humans apparently cooking some food over it and the scents are quite delicious. They have not noticed you at the moment as they are enjoying their brunch.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gabin is caught a little off guard. The way the folk of Maerin spoke of Vermeillon, he figured the only reason people might be out this far would be if that's where their house was. Seeing no building or shelter readily apparent, he looks to see if they seem geared up for travel or if there is another indicator of what they might be doing here of all places.
Lanky knows better than to go up and talk to the strangers out in the woods, they may think he is attacking him or be scared of him. Lanky looks at the otherd “Um can you talk to them? They will probably be scared of er well me.”
As you all pause and check out the area, trying to discern why these two are out here, you do not recognize them from town, and you do not see a bunch of gear with them either. Mainly food and clothing for the weather. Remi, you do not see anyone else around and it appears to be pretty quiet in general.
She looks at everyone and shrugs. She points to herself and gestures to the strangers, mouthing, "I'll go," and points a thumb toward them, nodding. Mouthing, and pointing, "You, you, you," and little walking gestures with her fingers to the sides, "Go around?" She points again to herself, "What? Want me to talk?" She raises an eyebrow waiting for an answer...
E'lar stands. He's not much for skulking about. He points back and forth at Tastie, nods his head in that direction, and begins walking towards the fire.
