“Any key you like,” Noey grates out, trying to keep her focus, the wind swirling under the mimic, keeping it aloft, and lifting her long hair gently. “But you might sound good in a falsetto,” she manages to grin.
“Now everybody stop!” Noey yells, “And someone get a teacher! Bryella, hang on!”
”If it looks like it’s gonna eat her, someone feed it a chair instead!”
"You think this is a classroom pet or something? If a teacher shows up and kills it, what key would you like to hear 'I told you so' in?" Rhydian asks with a shake if his head. He'll look for whatever seems like the most tempting (non-sentient!) snack for a mimic and use Mage Hand to bring it near the mimics maw. "This is much tastier than dwarf..."
Perception: 11
He doesn't notice very much other than some overturned tables and chairs.

Not seeing anything tasty to hand, Rhydian offers the mimic part of one of the rations from his pack. "Hopefully this looks tastier to it then it does to me..."

After Tulli illuminates the mimic, now that Bryella has dropped off, Noey gives a little grunt and pushes a hand upward, wind swirling and raising the mimic another five feet out of range of anyone randomly running into it, but also keeping it out of range of the ceiling (I think it is high here?).
Over her shoulder she calls out, "I got this for, like ten minutes, how are we doing on getting teacher up in here?" Then she approaches the mimic, with a grateful nod to Rhydian and his quick thinking with the rations. She addresses the mimic from a safe distance. "Hey there, uh, critter. So sorry for all the zapping and hitting and stuff, we were just a lot scared, because we're new and dumb. Do you, um, have a name? Maybe you're a... um, student? Or," her face pales a little, "A teacher? Or, well, in any case, we are very sorry."
Action: Raise mimic a little more, out of melee range, with ongoing Levitate (which lasts ten minutes or concentration)

Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Tulli gapes at the mimic. "Wow! It's awful and awesome at the same time! Do they make plushie mimics? I totally want one!"
“Maybe somebody try to pull Bryella off of it? Just don’t get stuck yourself!?”

Amber turns pale as she considers the implications of what Noey said: that the mimic could be a polymorphed student or teacher.
