Shrutsena is still working on addling the thing's brain - it seems to be somewhere below the water and very alien. Not out of reach, but the spell has not worked yet.
Jade cannot quite work he blade into the writhing mass of tentacles, but Gurag lops one off with his spear's edge
The elemental smashes at what it can reach 19...damage6...
crushing a tentacle between the rocks of the wall and itself, also made of the rocks of the wall
Some insights from these attacks - lopping off tentacles certainly seems to hurt the thing, but to a limited extent. An arm is cut or wrecked from 5 or more damage ((Extra damage does not carry over)) but you are not going to kill the thing lopping off limbs.
The horrible mass is writhing in a very pissed-off way. It has hold of something already - Jade is pulled inexorably towards the pool, she's right close to the wall now. More tentacles slam at the bothersome heroes within reach:
at the elemental: 22
at Gurag: 12
at Jade: 18
Jade takes 3 damage and the elemental takes 6 Jade is also being crushed by the arms holding her - an additional 2 damage.
Vrawl still has an action - controlling the elemental does not block any of his other capabilities - I will bot him this afternoon if you can't get to it
Vrawl steps up to his best guess of outside the tentacle reach, but 15 feet from something to hit. With his long arms and a Vine Whip, he tries to snap an arm
14...
he hits it doing 7 damage - he manages to disable one but it certainly does not hurt the beastie as much as you might think. There seems to be no end to the number of arms
All can post your next turn actions. Jade will be pulled in the end of this turn. She could try a hard STR roll to break free but that will take her turn; or attack tentacles within reach; or move towards the center without difficulty.

The hobgoblin manages to reach the thing's mind, and indeed it suddenly becomes inactive. Sort of. Jade is still grasped as tightly as before, but not being pulled. Some of the tentacles are still, and some are moving in weird patterns ((its action this turn has to be to attempt a save, so it loses one turn at least))
Shrutsena knows sometimes this spell does not work, if the target does not have sufficient mind to trap. With a mind this alien, it has odd effects. It is a little more two-way and he learned stuff he'd rather not have. Bloopblubbidyzzzt (it calls itself) has a mind spread throughout its body, does not think in Euclidean geometry or normal time. The mage will never clear his head of some of the monster's thoughts. But he can keep his mind on the task at hand for now.

Instead of waiting to be pulled, Jade bravely / recklessly dives towards danger, trying to judge where the tentacles might converge. She splashes into the pool blade-first and guesses well, her rapier sinking to the hilt into some massive conical shape. As she pulls her blade free she can feel she has done some real damage.
Vrawl and his rock beast are left - you still do not know whether the monster is stunned next round or only this one

(( sorry if I was not more clear - you have determined in attacks above that attacking tentacles is no longer helping, unless you cut a specific tentacle that needs cutting - you have done the damage you are going to. The alien thing is still in the grip of Shrutsena's spell for now. And Jade is it its grip, underwater, with some freedom of movement but to move away. It has not been so long as to be worrisome (and being a Chosen One takes a lot of worry out of the picture anyway) but it does take a hit point away, holding breath while being held so tight. Fortunately Vrawl's last two spells also caused little lightning bolts of healing from being outside - Jade is at 5 hp.
Gurag near the rim can see Jade underwater standing on top of an enormous cone of rubbery green. The perspective is odd. You could stand in a foot of water and reach, yet it seems to extend down endlessly.
You all can act, Vrawl still has action from last turn as well.

Shrutsena focuses again to try and disturb its mind.
18 for 2 if it works and fails its save.

Gurag swipes with the bladed end of his spear at a tentacle again.
Attack: 20 Damage: 9 (Max damage applies: 10)
A tentacle is cut off, but there are plenty more. It seems pretty clear you have had decreasing returns with what you can do to just the arms.

Jade grimaces, she had not realized the thing was that far under water. Holding her breath she stabs it once more...
To hit: 18 Damage: 3
Shrutsena moves closer, and tries to focus and grip a tentacle and send a current of lightning through it to the main body.
6 to succeed on the spell change
8 if it works
Jade pierces the creature, not dead but not at all well.
Shrutsena has a great idea but horrible luck 2 and 3...
