Hadar winces as well, rubbing the spot where the beam hit him, "Nothing too bad, yeah, thanks. You?" He'll try to get a look at the door while he waits for a response.

“Same.” She replies trying to sound nonchalant about it. “Does anyone have a shield we could use to block the beams for that next one? It shouldn’t hurt us then … right?”
"Perhaps if we all threw our gear onto the landing it might be enough weight to trigger the trap?" Dr. Buddie suggests. "Perhaps the sigils can hit each other above our backpacks and do their damage to each other? If nothing else, we could watch a couple cycles to see how long it's recharge takes and base our next move off of that information."
Hadar, you notice a few cracks in the bones that make up the sigil to the side and notice some small detritus, mostly crumbled pieces of rock on the landing. The stone-work surrounding the stone door, much like the one that awaited you at the entrance of the Penumbrial Vestibule, seems to be hewn from similar rocks to the door itself. Judging by the cracks in two of the blocks though, you figure that the small gap between the door and the threshold, as well as the cracks surrounding the door were caused by something akin to an earthquake a while back. WHile you're not immediately familiar with the geological history of this part of the Ostoyan EMpire, events such as the Darkfall could easily have had a seismic effect as well.
There is nothing her that indicates that the door itself would be newer than the rest of the crypt.

“We could, or…” Ekaterina will then attempt to leap across the landing and, assuming she reaches the other side safely, will try and push open the door.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ekaterina takes a leap and clears the landing, intending to use her momentum to force open the doors. Ekaterina's lithe frame is not enough though and as the stone door doesn't budge, Ekaterina stumbles back onto the landing and is hit by both rays slumping to the ground on the landing, unconcscious.

"Wait..." Dr. Buddie calls out as he fruitlessly reaches out for Ekaterina, trying to provide some guidance before she takes her reckless leap.
Swearing as she doesn't make it, Dr. Buddie quickly rushes forward to assist Haliday in grabbing the woman and pulling her to safety. "No... No... You all are too hasty and reckless," Dr. Buddie hisses under his breath while sparing a glare at Morrow. Once again the good doctor grabs up his black bag and pulls forth some balms and bandages and does what he can to summon back a patient from the clutches of death. ( Cure Wounds for 7 healing. )
"That's it... I cannot do that again this day," Dr. William Buddie states, once Ekaterina is healed. "There is more to it than just the unguents and balms. My extraordinary talents will need time to recharge before I can save another of you... Please do be careful."
((Morrow - Dr. B healed you up for 9pts back in post 44... I don't think you applied that.))
Hadar steps back toward the group from where he was examining the stone, "Not to undermine the Doctor's point— but I still have some healing in me." He half-heartedly lifts his shield with its painted divine symbol. "These sigils are already damaged, and same with the door. I think there was some sort of seismic activity in this area once... Haliday might be right about breaking them."

Aftari holds her greatsword at a low ready. "I agree with Hadar. No matter how important these were before, our lives are more important now. I can hack these apart before we go any further, if you'll allow me." As long as the others agree, she will start swinging at the sigils, taking as much time as she needs to until they are destroyed. Then, while the others deal with the door, she will do the same to the sigils on the previous landing. If there's still time, or the others are ok waiting, she will make sure that the last trap on the first landing is broken as well.
Aftari, you make short work of the old bones in front of the door, and as several of you start pushing against the door, it opens, much like the one at the entrance to the crypt. You all immediately jump back though, as you see the source of the blue light that shone underneath the stone door. Before you, a crystal orb floats above a stone plinth in the center of this chamber. It rotates slowly, glowing a faint blue; its carved surface evokes the shape of a lidless eye. At regular intervals, the blue light is a bit brighter, as it pulses across the room.
Beyond it, you spot secluded alcoves standing at each far corner of the room, with doors to the north and south. Directly opposite you stands a massive stone door inscribed with detailed carvings of humanoid figures, skeletons, and a radiant sun disc.
What would you all like to do?
