Tanis, skulking in the gloom, with an arrow nocked like Petmailer, is shocked at the strange voice in his head, forgetting for a moment about the deadly situation he and the others are in. Being trapped in rising water in a blocked-off area deep in the Underdark. And...
Flesh for the Faceless Lord... but whatever it is, it doesn't sound possessed by a demon lord...
"Who are you? " He thinks in response to the telepathic voice.
Petmailer points a finger toward the drow figure, sends a message, "Are you floating inside of that thing, are you alive? Who are you and what happened?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Who are you?" Vethna asks, standing up near the cube with anyone else at the front. "We do like to make new friends and would rather not make new enemies..." She pauses as she feels the water sloshing around her legs. "But we are a bit short on time... Water is filling the place and we need to find a way out."
Petmailer: You get no response back from your message to the drow skeleton
In response to questions about who this voice is, you all hear in a slow, lumbering voice: "I...I am Glabbagool... I like friends... It's too quiet here... Who are you? I haven't seen you in the temple before...Where have you come from? What is flood?"

Vrah readies his battleaxe while looking at the thing in the hallway, "This is not going to end well regardless of what it says. Look at the skeleton inside of it, did it pick up the skeleton or did it eat the flesh from its bones. Be wary Friends." As Vrah turns sideways and places his back to the wall so he can look in both directions.
Tanis stammers a bit and thinks telepathically at the voice in his head as he speaks the same words aloud:
"Ah... Glabbagool. We would like to be friends but we can't see you. And we were just attacked by an ooze. Was that also your friend? We need to escape this place because we cannot survive if the water rises too far, so we need to go that way." (Gesturing north) "We... we cannot go back because the tunnel behind where we were is now blocked by a cave-in, which also opened a hole into this place. May we pass safely?"
"It did not speak until recently... so it is just a hatchling." Kisiki says to no one in particular, then he says aloud to the ooze, "What is in the temple?"
Glabbagool says "Don't know what hatchling is, but Glabbagool is old. Didn't talk for long time. Didn't think either. Thinking is .... different. Temple has rocks, bones, dirt, broken pots, water...that sort of stuff."
[You notice how the floor of the passage is clean of all debris when the cube passes over it and you realize that from this creature's perspective, what's interesting about a place is the stuff it can slurp up off the floor. It's kind of like having a conversation with a street sweeper.]
Glabbagool leads you all north. As you pass through the slightly wider room, you see the walls here are covered with mosaics that seem to have an oceanic theme. It's hard to tell exactly what they depict as many of them are broken and crumbling or have faded with decades if not centuries of time. As you move further north toward the room at the top of the map, you hear Glabbagool say "Shoo! Go away... These friends are not your dinner." It's hard to see around or through Glabbagool, but you think you see a smaller creature ooze out of the ceiling and retreat down the hallway to the right. It looked very similar to the one that attacked Vrah.
[If you are all following Glabbagool, let me know a rough marching order. The cube moves slowly, about 15 feet per round. It squeezes down in thickness to fit through the narrower passageways, then expands outward where it has room. In the wider sections (15 feet wide), it doesn't quite fill the entire passageway, but there isn't a lot of clearance on either side of it. It would be difficult to slip past it without risking getting caught up in its form. It also moves a little erratically, swaying from side to side as it senses bits of debris on the floors or walls that it wants to pick up. ]

If the group is following the ooze, Kisiki will take the middle again and light up the party with his focus. He will keep his eyes out for any strong bones he can make into something. Perception: 22 (in the bright light)
Kisiki, there are a lot of bones floating inside Glabbagool. You can't tell how intact they are. There's also a mace, some coins, and bits of mostly dissolved clothing. The cube is sucking up virtually every bit of debris it can from the floors and walls. As this happens, more trash ends up floating inside it.
To Shoowaa Glabbagool says "I don't know. I don't know. And... no."
The cube compresses down to fit in the narrower passageway and starts down the hall to the right.
Phodoxia stares in wide-eyed horror at the talking blob, but as it seems not to be hostile, and even chases away one of the flesh-eating oozes, she follows with great reluctance. There goes Shoowaa again---fawning on these dangerous weirdos that advocate the most unnatural things! Like sitting in a pit upside down on your head! Terrible blobs! Flesh for the Faceless Lord indeed! What will I do without him if he gets himself dissolved or killed?
But she sticks protectively close to her goblin friend just next to the blob, keeping a careful eye on both of them. "Where are we going?" she asks the blob. To Shoowaa she whispers in Goblin, "Be careful! It seems friendly, but it might not be, it might grab and digest you if you get to close, whether it means to or not. It's an ooze! It still has pseudopods, whether it can talk and think or not!"

Tanis stares at the alien behavior of the sentient, apparently friendly gelatinous being as it picks up debris. He follows along towards the rear as usual.
He thinks (telepathically) and says : "Glabbagool, ah... thank you. Is there somewhere we can block or bypass the water that is coming into this... temple I think you said? Also, do you like having all that debris inside you? Or if not, would you mind pushing out that mace and the coins in our direction?"
Tanis himself looks to see if he can find a source or direction the water is coming from. Survival: 17
Glabbagool responds in your mind "Water is new. Glabbagool not know about water." It pauses it's movement for a moment. You see some of the items inside the cube moving around. "Which things are mace and coins?"
Tanis: While water is trickling in from a number of different directions, the larger flow of water seems to be coming from the east - the other side of Glabbagool. You can tell it's deeper in front of the cube, then rushing around and under it when it can.

Despite her nervousness about the ooze, Phodoxia is beginning to be more concerned about the amount of water filling the chamber they are in. She tries to peer around the ooze, and look up at the walls and ceiling, searching for something to climb or some passage out of the flood zone.
So far it's difficult for you to see anything past the cube.
In response to the request for the mace and coins, Glabbagool "Here, you pick what you want" and starts dropping stuff out behind him. Some parts of the skeleton, a few coins (12 gp worth of miscellaneous types) and the mace.)

Glabbagool responds "Oozes not friends. Oozes just...ooze. They don't talk. Glabbagool didn't talk either. Not till recently. I will show you temple."
With that, the cube begins moving back to the north. As it moves into the wider part of the passage, water pours around the sides of it.
