Vethna makes it up the wall of the cavern with no difficulty and is able to find a suitable rock formation to tie the rope to. The waterfall is only about 30 feet up, so there is plenty of length of rope to reach the floor of the cavern. From what Vethna can see up by the waterfall, this is a smaller passageway. There is room to walk beside the water, but the ceiling is fairly low so some of the taller party members (Vrah, Derendil) will have to hunch down to get through.
Being lighter than some of the others (Vrah and Derendil), and perhaps more willing than the two goblins, Tanis climbs up the rope next. Ready to help pull in case it becomes necessary. A seed of Phodoxia's doubt creeps into his own mind. Please be there Eldeth and Jimjar, and hang on. We're coming.
Vethna stays by the rope as the first of her companions climb up, then would give over that position to someone with a bit more strenght, as they would be better suited to helping those climbing the rope. She would move down the tunnel a bit then, scouting a bit, and making sure no danger waits there for the group.

When everyone else has climbed up the rope, Phodoxia follows at a distance. She stands back circling until Kisiki goes up as well, and then, well behind the others, carefully shimmies up the rope.
The group makes it's way safely up to the stream. For a little while, the noise of the waterfall makes it difficult to hear. After a short distance, the stream settles down. You travel for a couple of hours seeing basically the same terrain. Around a bend in the passage, you suddenly find yourself in a massive slanting chamber that appears to have been slashed out of the rock. The stream you've been following flows across the floor of this chasm. The cavern reaches far above you, extending up into darkness, well beyond the limit of anyone's dark vision.
As quietly as he can Vrah says to the group, "I not like not being able to see the ceiling, anything could be up there. We should stay close and move quietly. Anyone want ride who do not move silently? We should not use light source, but have something ready for when creatures attack."
Petmailer nods to Vrah, saying "I don't like it either. Stay alert everyone." Petmailer would plan to sneak into the cavern a short way and look as far as his darkvision allows (120 ft).

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"There is nothing there." Kisiki lights up his skull and puts himself in the middle of the group. "What a powerful occurrence - only my God could carve a whole mountain like this! She guides us onward."
Tanis' perception roll allows him to instantly note everything going on in this large space. There are bits of phosphorescent moss and fungi growing at various spots on the floor and walls of the chamber, especially near sources of water. What Tanis picks up that the rest of you do not is that there appears to be a very faint light source coming from somewhere across the cavern that is of a different quality. Most of the bioluminescent growths down here tend to give off a purplish or greenish glow. What Tanis seems is more golden or orange in color, like the light from a flame. Whatever it is, it's a small light source and it is shielded from you being able to see it directly. But he does notice a little bit of this warmer glow being cast on the far wall of the cavern.
Tanis moves up to step into Kisiki's light source, appearing abruptly from being invisible. He points out what he sees quietly.
"Most of the light here in this chasm is coming from moss and fungi. But there is a tiny bit of light coming from... somewhere there, across the cavern, that seems warmer. More like the light from a flame. Shielded from direct view, but it is there. We should investigate - agreed? My darkvision goes to 90', but I think some of you, Petmailer and Phodoxia, can see further. Let us know if you see anything as we get closer."
Tanis remains to finish any discussion, then slips back into his rear scouting position, out of the light. Becoming invisible again.
Petmailer goes to the front as they move along, taking scouting position alongside Vethna. He searches to the end of his darkvision and looks on in curiosity to the area where the light is coming from, his bow ready at his side.

Vrah will stay with the rest of the group while the others investigate the light source, looking around to make sure no one is trying to sneak up on them from another direction.
"Beautiful like the sun." says Kisiki, as he sees the orange light cut through the dull hum of greenish-purplish bioluminescence. "It could be Jimjar and Eldeth."

Vrah asks, "Who wants help up? I can lift part of the way and then the others can help rope, or you can just cling to me and I climb."
Petmailer climbs up using the rope and prepares to help others up from the top.
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Shoowaa hesitates a bit before going onto the rope to climb up. If at any moment he feels himself slipping he will turn into a giant wolf spider.
Kisiki continues calling on his goddess to guide the hands of those climbing up the rope. When everyone is up, Kisiki follows.

Let me know how you proceed into this chamber.

As usual, Tanis is rear scouting and hanging back in the darkness where he is invisible to darkvision.
Keeping his voice low: "Fargas. Or Shuushar. Does this huge slanting chamber match the description you have heard of the rift?"
