Chonk you inspect the swords but alas they are probably the equivalent of a longsword back home and more suited to others.
The merchant raises their hands, "Oh no I need no share. If you are able to recover my pack animals that would be reward enough for me and it would enable me to reward you in turn for your heroic efforts. I will happily take what items you do not need and sell them for you in the village, though I doubt the soiled bed rolls and blankets will fetch a good price. They would be better cleaned and used if you have none of your own."
In response to your question Chonk they reply, "Two. Two Lamas my friend, they are named Ruby and Opal and their garments are coloured to match."
Guroz you pick up the iron sword and crossbow and help Sindri search the area for tracks. You both see only the boot prints of the bandits and those of the merchant. You see no sign of Lamas nearby and the only tracks you do find are those of sheep. Lots of sheep."
The merchant sees what you are doing and offers, "I loosed the animals back toward the forest, where the track leads northward."
The following items still remain in your loot pile :
1 Iron sword, damaged but useable.
3 sets of worn leather armour (Studded)
A small pouch containing 20 emeralds
4 blood stained bed rolls and blankets
(As you continue westward state what you take and the merchant will be happy to sell the rest for you back at the village)
"Oh! Sorry, I was so intent on helping this gentleman that I wasn't paying attention. Yes, please I would like the armor, one of the rolls and blankets, and 5 emeralds for my share? Thank you!" She looks at the bed roll and blanket thinking, I sure hope this washes out!
Lefaris helps herself to a set of studded leather, 5 emeralds, and one of the bedrolls. She frowns in the direction of the forest. "Isn't the farm between here and the forest?" She asks the others. "Hopefully the animals didn't go too far as we will never get back to town before nightfall if we have to travel into the forest very far..." She sighs as she adjusts her new burdons on her back. "Well, let us get moving, as there is no time to waste..."
“Should we let the merchant sell the second iron sword or should I carry it in case someone else wants to use it, or the first one breaks?”
(Everyone, please add your items to your inventory: bedroll, blanket, 5 emeralds, and armor (don’t forget to equip it). Guroz, add at least the one sword, light crossbow and 10 bolts.)
Chonk’s Perception: 17
Chonk stows the items and grabs the broken tree branch, quickly stripping away the shoots and side branches to fashion a serviceable walking stick. While walking he’ll be testing its flexibility and strength to determine the best section of heartwood to carve down to to make a formidable quarterstaff.
You share out the gear and emeralds and Chonk you stow the spare sword away in your pack. In the end the merchant leaves you taking the third set of armour as they head off toward Needlehole.
The morning passes into early afternoon by the time that you Sindri see the track leading off to the north. From what you have been told this is the turning for the farm.
As Sindri picks up the tracks, she exclaims, "Oh, would you look at that! The tracks appear to be heading right towards the farm we were going to anyways. What luck!"and she about trots her way in that direction, expecting the rest to follow.
You all take the track north. It leads you through a small wooded area before opening up again above a broad valley. The hills either side are dotted with roaming sheep and on the far side of the valley you can make out a large farm house and barn.
As you descend into the valley you all note an obstruction on the track. A large mound of what looks to be white wool surrounded by milling sheep. To the left of the mound is a small clump of bushes dotted with red berries.
Chonk will let out two short chirping whistles and strike the ground sharply with his walking stick. He is curious if the sheep will react and mostly to see if the mound stirs revealing itself to be a fantastical beast.
Remembering the wolf and the blunt type wounds and bloodied wool from before, Sindri is more worried about the sheep than whatever is in the middle. While the rest wait for the reaction, Sindri starts walking forward while watching... not getting any closer than 50 feet.
Chonk, the chirping whistles and whack of the stick break the silence of the afternoon and for a moment nothing happens as Sindri you edge forward your attention on the sheep. You see nothing amiss until the very last moment when one of the sheep slowly turns and releases a guttural sound that is not what you expect from a fluffy white sheep.
GRWAAAAAAAAAAA!
It is then that you see the glowing red eyes and the blood soaked jaws from where it has been feeding on what ever is lying on the track. The other sheep turn as it makes that horrific sound and then as one the mutant monstrosities charge toward you Sindri.
The flock have shambled forward and are currently 20 feet from Sindri, that is 60 feet from the rest of you. You can see now their glaring red eyes and patches of warped crimson skin showing through bald patches in their coats. There are seven of them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chonk will quickly advance to Sindri’s location, setting aside his walking stick along the way. He does not want it to be damaged before he has had a chance to craft it. Upon arrival he will Ready his Martial Arts attacks, should the mutant mutton move within range. Bouncing on the balls of his feet, he waits.
Guroz accepts the offer from Chonk, a ranged weapon would only help - he also checks interest on the other iron sword, claiming it of no one else does.
The half-orc sighs but agrees to help locate the merchant's llamas. Guroz also looks for tracks or signs of their nearby passing....

“Hold up.” Chonk says to Sindri and Guroz. “At least consider wearing the armor.”
Chonk holds up the studded leather to Sindri, Guroz and Lefaris. “May it serve you better than it did it’s last owners.”
