(I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I actually considered using my Inspiration to retry that Charisma check, but thought I’ll probably need that to scrape the sheep off of me as we slam the door on them.)
Unable to think of what else to do, Lefaris sprints towards the door. She calls on her magic as she does so, casting Thaumaturgy and attempting to throw open the door ahead of them.
Dex roll: 15 (this is a straight dex roll, not a save or acrobatics or anything like that.)
Chonk you give it your all, but still the group slows and the sheep are almost upon you. That door is so close...
Lefaris you reach the door first and stretching forward you feel the tingle of power as you cause it to slam open. Sindri you stumble in behind her just as one of the sheep makes a reaching bite for you. Attack: 4 Damage: 2
Guroz lets get that final action and dex roll as you and Chonk make for the open door.
As Sindri lays sprawled on the floor of the farmhouse away from the biting mutant sheep, she first looks desperately around for her chicken. Once located, she breathes a little sigh of relief. Then holds her breath as she waits for the others to make it in. Once they've made it in, she looks at Lefaris, "Great move opening the door ahead of time, not sure what would have become of us if you hadn't."and you can tell by her words she is still working on catching her breath.
Using desperation to try and ignore the burning in his legs, the half-orcdashes as fast as legs can take him and the child, not resisting the piercing pain in his lungs gasping for breath!
Guroz your muscles are on fire as you give everything you have to get through the door after Sindri. At the last moment one of the sheep slams in from the side with a ramming attack Attack: 6 Damage: 7.
You stumble on and then you are through, with Chonk racing in behind you.
Chonk you see the sheep closing in on Sindr and Guroz as the make it through the door ahead of you and for a moment it appears the way is blocked. Gritting you teeth you leap over the two beast and barely miss smacking your head on the frame as you fly through the open door. You are all inside but not yet safe as the masses of sheep converge on the farm house.
Someone needs to close that door to shut them out and Roll a strength check.
Gently easing the child down, Gurozdigs deep to bring up any remaining energy he has left to slam his weight into the door to get it closed fast and sturdy!
Guroz you get the child inside and immediately turn to slam the door closed. The flight to the farm however has taken its toll and with no chance to catch your breath you fail to get your usual full strength behind the attempt. The door slams back against you as 3 sheep charge into the room.
(The sheep will be on initiative 1 for this so everyone is up to deal with the threat and get that door closed. The latter will requIre an action and a strength check with a DC 12 as more sheep try to press in from outside).
The leap through the threshold was a tactical mistake. Although it allowed Chonk inside, it also propelled him away from the door sliding on the floor. He stops his skid and pivots back, too late to Help Guroz. He grimaces as he sees that the breach is open and sheep are pouring in.
He leaps back at the door and with all of his understanding of leverage tries to shut and seal it.
Chonk you expertly pivot and leap back toward the door just as several of the sheep charge through. On this occasion your expertise is just enough to get the job done as you lever you body in a way to push back the crowding beasts outside and slam the door shut. You stand there with your back to the door now and do have a bonus action remaining I believe...
Three of creatures are now trapped in the room with you all and they do not look happy about it.
(You are all in close quarters and in range for combat)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lefaris casts sleep again. She sets the spell to hit as many sheep as she can, but will go for a single one if it is too difficult to hit more than that. She wants to cut down the enemy numbers as much as possible, but would not allow the spell to overlap any of her companions.
Guroz, though the attacks are not your finest they are enough. Sindri had already wounded the beast badly and with a thrust of your blade you end its life. Two snoring animals remain sleeping on the ground before you thanks to the magic of Lefaris, but once again the battle seems to be over.
You all find yourselves standing in the living area of a small farm house. A fire still smoulders in the hearth and you see two doors besides the one you entered through. One leading to a compact bed chamber and the other to the kitchen. You also note a large hatch on the ground near the far wall that seems to have been blocked with furniture to prevent it from opening.
Outside you can hear the flock massing around the building. Their terrible cries muffled by the thick stone walls. There is a strange smell in the air that you can't quite place.

You are all still up!

Still prone, Sindri sits up and fires off and eldritch blast at the closest sheep
Attack: 10 Damage: 5
Then she tries to get up, though has a pretty bad cramp in her leg.

HP: 22
Sindri you fire a chunk out of the nearest sheep with your eldritch blast sending gore matted wool splattering up the wall.
Lefaris you release your sleep spell and two of the sheep drop to the floorboards with a thud. The injured beast still stands... for now.
(These sheep are having no luck!)
Guroz you are up!

Chonk will dispatch the sleeping sheep in the same way as he had outdoors.
”What’s that smell?” He inquires of everyone and then to the child, “Do you know what’s below the trapdoor?” Pointing to it.

The child looks to you and then the trap door, their eyes brimming with tears.
"Papa is down there." they say in a near whisper.
There is a loud cracking sound and the front door shudders as the sheep are trying to ram their way in.
DM - Warlock of Firetop Mountain
“Who locked him down there?” Chonk asks as he looks around the room for something with which to brace the door.
”Where’s the rest of your family?”
