Chonk will produce a single sweet berry from his pack and offer it in his palm to the llama, hoping that Sindri’s kind tone and this offering will convince the animal we are trustworthy.

“These are herd animals, after all. Perhaps we can convince it to join our herd until we reunite it with its owner.” Chonk says mostly to himself.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Woah, watch out!Chonk thinks to himself as he tries to mentally calculate the trajectory of the globule heading towards him. He ducks and slides to avoid being splattered by cud spittle.
Chonk chuckles at the hilarity of stepping into a mucus missile. I’ve stepped into worse, he thinks to himself. He remains in a squatting position to not appear threatening and again holds out the single sweet berry.
"Well done." Lefaris says from her spot a safe distance away from the merchant's beast. She keeps her distance, not wishing to get any spit tossed her way.
You manage to gather the Llamas reigns and lead it back to the road. On the journey back to the village it behaves itself for the most part. From time to time it does take pot shots at Pwok and received the occasional peck in retaliation.
It is past midday by the time you reach the outskirts of the village and as you approach you see the locals gathering and waving in greeting. By the time you reach the village square you are once more centre attention for a large crowd. Your guide stands there with a beaming smile, the cleric and merchant to either side of them.
"Welcome!" the Guide cries out with a beaming smile that earns a gob of spit from the startled Llama.
Lefaris waves to the Guide as they approach the villagers. She winces as the llama takes a chance to spit at Guide. "Best watch out that beast is fairly skittish around strangers." Seh advises Guide. Nodding to the Merchant. "We have brought back one of your pack animals, though I am sad to say the other had a bad run in with mutant sheep." Turning to Cleric, she gives a bow in greeting. "Wel met Cleric. We have solved the farmer's issues, and have returned with the glad news that he will be sending a wagon to town soon." She straightens as she glances to the villagers around them. "Please let us know of any further needs you have of us." She invites.
The cleric gives a rare smile at the news and nods their head in appreciation. The merchant however is much more exuberant in expressing their thanks and strides over to make a fuss of their remaining animal. For the first time since rescuing it the Llama looks something close to happy, though it still takes a pot shot at the chicken every time it comes too near.
"Thank you, Thank you!" beams the Merchant as they reach into the saddle bags on the Llama. "For your troubles!"
The merchant hands you a small pouch of 20 emeralds; two potions of healing and a potion of invisibility. They explain the use of the potions as they hand them over.
The cleric steps in at this point, "There is indeed more work should you want it. You may remember we spoke of the mines? But perhaps you would like to return to the inn and rest or see to other matters in town? You know where to find me when you are ready."
Unable to contain themselves any longer the Guide rushes forward and gives each of you a warm hug, heedless of whether you want one or not, "I have excellent news!" they announce, "I am to receive a name. There will be a great celebration and you are all invited!"
Lefaris accepts the gifts from Merchant. She nods to her companions as she puts the items in her pack. (She will split it out as the group wishes once they are back at the inn.)
As Guide comes up for hugs, Lefaris returns his and pats the blocky Guide on the back. "A name?" She asks, a bit still confused that people don't have names here. "Well that sounds important. I will definitely be there if at all possible." She smiles as Guide moves to hug the others. Seeing Cleric walking away, she nods to herself, the mines will definitely be on their list as one of the next things to check out. First though she wants something to eat, a drink or two, and a warm bath to wash the dust of the road away.
Sindri appreciates the hug as Guide reaches down to embrace her. As the cleric walks away, she adds to Lefaris's offer, "Seeing that the sun has a ways to go before setting, is there anything needed in town we can assist with? I'm thinking we'll head to the mines tomorrow morning, but we have a little spare time now." Sindri is riding the high of helping out the merchant and the farmer and doesn't notice Lefaris want of heading to the inn to relax a bit.
She does look down though and notices her chicken, covered in llama spit.. "Though Pwok is in desperate need of a bath."
“I would be willing to bathe with Pwok, seeing as we are both covered in the same sputum.”Chonk volunteers. “Plus if Pwok preens and sheds a few feathers, I might be able to repurpose them into fletchings for arrows, should I ever get this stick made into a bow.” Chonk taps the stick on the ground lightly.
“Does anyone want to visit the smithy with me, maybe to price some arrowheads and possibly see about repairing these long swords?”

Sindri, despite your best efforts your words startle the beast.
"Wha who's that!" it turns suddenly and spits in your direction. Give me a Dex roll.
Chonk roll for Dex also as the disagreeable animal turns and spits at you as well.

Chonk you slide out of the way of the phlegmy projectile only to get spattered by the one meant for Sindri.
The Llama halts its spitting at your words Sindri, "Friend?"
It is still nervous but your ability to speak and understand it is clearly making it curious. It edges closer.

"Yes, friend. Are you lost? Come with us to village? We're here to help" she puts her little hand out for the llama to sniff her if it would like to.

Not sure what is going on, but it briefly showed a 16
The Llama slowly relaxes and begins to move forward toward you. It is still wearing the merchants travel bags and harness.
Chonk you feed the Llama one of your berries and it snorts in appreciation.
Sindri, you hear the word "good." from the animal.
Pwok waddles up and gives the Llama a sharp peck on the foot and the Llama responds by showering the little chicken in a mouthful of goopy spit.
DM - Warlock of Firetop Mountain
Chonk makes eye contact with Pwok and gives an empathetic nod.

"And this is why I left the chicken back with Guroz...well he'll now need a bath" she sighs but is glad Pwok didn't make the llama run.
