Chonk will step between the Tanner and the Pillager, in case there is any last outburst between the two. He will say, not loudly, but loud enough for all to hear, “Lefaris, I hope you know what you’re doing.”
"I gave my word I would let him go and would give what aid was in my power to give." Lefaris says with a shrug. "If he harms no one else I do not see any reason not to allow him to leave." She looks to the tanner. "Are you ok?" She asks the villager.
The Tanner is silent for a moment as they watch the Pillager leave. They shake their head angrily but seem content to let it drop at that.
"I am well and I thank you for your timely rescue."they rub their sore wrists where the Pillagers rope had chafed them.
"Ah yes, this madness had almost drove it from my mind. The merchant came by earlier to sell some leather armour on your behalf. I have coin for you."
The Tanner makes their way over to the `nearby counter and pulls out a small pouch. They hand it to Chonk who stands closest. (It contains 20 emeralds).
"I would pay more but the armour was in bad shape and will need work to restore. Is there any way I can repay you for your trouble here today?"
Lefaris is likely the only one able to use a hand crossbow, so she will accept that, likely using it as a backup weapon. She also accepts the coin, putting it with other things to shar eout later on.
"Can you repair the armor I am currently wearing?" Lefaris asks, gesturing to the studded leather she has on. "It is getting a bit worn as you can likely see."
Sindri didn't realize she had been holding her breath when the conflict started, but finally let it out. She was thrilled the tanner didn't make a big deal of Lefaris helping out the pillager. She just hoped they wouldn't run into that pillager doing evil again. She'd hate to think what would happen then.
Sindri heads over the tanner when Lefaris asks about the armor she is wearing and adds, "Yeah, mine as well? I'm glad you weren't hurt."
"Oh! I've never actually had a dagger as a weapon before, but sure, it'll be good backup as you never know what we're going to run into! Thanks!" Sindri exclaims
The Tanner looks over the armour that Sindri and Lefaris are wearing.
"Leave them with me over night and I will have them patched up by morning, no charge."
They consider your request for a bow string Chonk and begin to rummage in a nearby chest. "Here you go."they hand you a small spool of twine that will be ideal for a bow string.
"It is fashioned from giant spider silk,"they explain, "Perfect for a bow."
Sindri takes off her armor and hands it over to the Tanner, "Thank you! I truly appreciate it! How long have you been a tanner? Like it here in Needlehole?"
She makes a bit of small talk as it takes her a bit to get her armor off.
Lefaris hesitates, but then begins to unfasten the straps holding her leathers in place. The tunic she wears under it is a bit sweat-stained, but serviceable. "Thank you." She says to the tanner as she hands over the armor.
"Does my armour require tending to as well?" Guroz says with a smile and a wince of pain as he takes off his armour and gives to the Tanner, hoping the fired bolt didn't take too much damage.
They collect all the offered leather armour as chat with you Sindri. "I was named Tanner around twenty years ago now. I have lived here since I was a child."
The Tanner laughs quietly as they poke a finger through the hole in your armour Guroz. "Yes, I can deal with this one as well."
The Guide pokes their head through the door, "I erm.. is it safe?" seeing that it is they walk in, "It... it will be dark soon we should be heading back to the tavern."
"Hello there Guide! When is your naming ceremony? We want to be sure to be around for that. And yes, it would be good to head back." Sindri picks up Pwok and heads towards the door. "Thanks again Tanner, we'll see you in the morning!"
Lefaris gives the tanner a glance over her shoulder as she leaves, uncomfortable about leaving without her armor now that she had it to wear. She sighs and follows Guide back to the inn.
Chonk would like to wash up before supper, removing the llama spit from his person and his possessions. He will let others more erudite than himself describe the journey to and the events at the farmhouse. He will want to spend some time with his woodworking tools, continuing to make progress converting the walking stick into a formidable bow. He will add any shavings to the fireplace as he listens to the conversations in the inn.
The Guide leads you all back to the tavern explaining as you walk that their naming ceremony will be four days from now. They are very excited about and very keen for you all to attend.
"After all if not for all of you, it would not be happening!"they explain.
You arrive at the tavern and your rooms and meals have been prepared.
Chonk give me a d20 with your proficiency modifier added as you work on your bow.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chonk finds a comfortable spot near the fireplace and carefully lays out his tools. He again studies the wood, looking to trim away the imperfections and determine the optimal carvings to compliment the natural grains and reveal a supple yet strong bow.
"That will not be necessary." the Pillager takes the food offered and turns to leave.
Does anyone try to stop them?

Chonk will hand the small pouch to Lefaris, seeing she is holding other things to possibly be divided later.
”Would you have a bit of bowstring?“ Chonk holds out his partially finished bow, still more of a walking stick, to measure the length needed.
He also will offer the Pillager’s hand crossbow and dagger to anyone in the party who wishes to use them.
