"Well, I'm mighty glad you came to me! Sure, yeah, I can help ya!" Hektor makes his way around from the other side of the counter and shows the group over to the underwater section. He motions to the various different pieces of gear hanging on the wall and begins to explain them. "If you are looking for wearables, I do have helmets that I have constructed. If you put them on, a bubble will fill the empty spaces and provide you with 1 hour of air. It does take some time to recharge though, so you won't be able to use it again until the next day. However, if you are looking for weapons, I am still working on getting my inventory up, but I think I have a couple Spear Gun's in the back I could sell ya... What ya think? Anything catching your eyes? Oh, you can talk through the bubbles while underwater, but you'll have to speak up." He pauses as he waits to see what the group might be interested in.
"We could probably use the helmets....I don't think any of us can breathe underwater. Perhaps some of my companions would like the spear gun....Could you tell us more? What is the range for example?"
Hektor thinks for a moment before responding. "I've never really put them through a thorough testing, but they are reworks of the musket. So I'd say probably between 40 to 80ft before it's effectiveness dies off." Hearing the interest of Korgen, he puts a finger up. "Give me one second sir. Let me see if I can fish it out." He then disappears into the back and after a couple minutes, comes back out with a Spear Gun. "Here you go sir. Feel free to inspect it."
Auraani ponders these guns for a moment... "I've never been much of a ranged person. I can hit stuff hard in melee, but when someone tried to teach me how to use a crossbow I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn..."
”Helmet for me, and put mine on blossom’s tab” malirys looks to see if the blacksmith like the name or is scared of it, hoping to gleam info on how blossom is thought of around these parts… “or should I say three earrings?
Hektor grins and responds to Auraani. "If you need some practice, you are more than welcome to take it out back and shoot it into some barrels. Just don't break any windows." He then redirects his attention to Korgen as he helps him on how to use the weapon. Malyris, when the name Blossom is brought up, you don't seem to see any sort of reaction, as if he doesn't know the name, but as soon as you say Three Earrings, the playful look he had with Korgen changes into nervousness. He attempts to avoid eye contact before he grabs the gun from Korgen and scurries behind the counter. "I think it's best if you go. No one associated with Three Earrings is allowed in here...". He tucks the Spear Gun under the counter and waits for you all to leave.
”assumed blossom and this guy were friends… so how much you want those spear guns? I’m open to do what you wanna try”
To the merchant, she says sternly: “you know of the events at Palma!? we will be investigating the sinking of Palma, many died, others were kidnapped…; but I wonder, why would you judge us for who’s transport we procure?”
"Three Earrings is nothing but problems, and anyone associated with her is not welcome here. Please leave!" His voice increases as he get's more irritated that no one is listening. Hektor's hands can be seen falling behind the counter, out of view and keeps an eye on all of you.
Auraani had been engrossed in studying the speargun so much that she hadn't even noticed the exchange until the others had started to leave. She blinks a few times and sets the weapon down carefully and heads to the door, but then turns back around. "Wait, we were supposed to give you this.... let me find it." She pats down her pockets for a few moments before pulling out a carefully folded letter and hands it to Hektor slowly.
Hektor reaches out to grab the letter and pulls it over to himself carefully. He slowly opens it up and his eyes can be seen tracing line by line. His face keeps the annoyance look as he heads over to the wall and grabs 4 of the breathing bubbles down off the wall. He places them onto the counter then goes back behind it. Reaching down, he grabs the speargun and places it down onto the counter, along with 2 packs of 20 bolts to go along with it. "Here, take these and get the **** out." You aren't sure what the letter said, but whatever it said must have convinced him enough to hand these over.
Auraani reaches over and grabs the rest of the items on the counter haphazardly and pushes her way out of the door. Looking back as she leaves she says, "Just know that whatever was in that note, it wasn't from us. We're the middlemen trying to get a job done and help some people that lost their homes. Thank you for your help." and continues outside.
“What was that?” Korgen says gesturing at the letter and continuing to back out
Auraani shrugs and smiles, "No idea, Malirys gave it to me to give to the shopkeeper... I'll admit, I meant to read it, but never got around to it."
Hektor refuses to acknoledge you as you make your remark. You aren't sure if he just didn't hear you or if he just doesn't care anymore.
Everyone;
As you all get ouside, Auraani distributes the gear to everyone, while giving the Spear Gun and ammo to Korgen. You all then make sure you have your things and proceed to make your way back to the ship.
(If you guys want to do anything further let me know, you probably have 20 to 30 minutes before the ship leaves. Or you can go straight back to the ship.)
"Hello sir...we were told you could help us with some underwater gear. The captain we rode with has a job that requires it. They said to talk to you."

“A spear gun??” Korgen sounds worried for a moment as he considers that he may have ignored a more obvious route to success. “I’d like to see that.”

Korgen looks longingly at the speargun. “What? What just happened? What did I miss?”

Ant shrugs unsure ...."I thought Malirys had something worked out"
Malirys messages Korgen:

Ant raises his hands and walks out “No trouble from me sir. Apologies”
Korgen puts his hands up and starts backing out. “No trouble here, we’re going.”
