In case you're wondering, I believe we got the 50 from when we successfully got a horse and left Byting. Now if only, I could remember my Math formulas just as easily...
Kathleen says, "Let us not linger here. We should cross this water body while we have the chance."
The recent events have gotten Kathleen thinking about her childhood. She remembers that one time her parents locked her in her room to stop her from going outside and playing with the "Urchin" kids. That didn't stop her though. The first day she managed to get out through the 3rd floor window by using her bed sheets to make a rope. When her parents sealed the window that night, she taught herself how to pick locks over the course of a week. She closes her eyes and re-lives those moments in her memory. She wonders if she still remembers those skills of hers. The answer is yes.
Kathleen looks at the sleeping fish and goes, "Oh, I completely forgot about that. We should tie him up before waking him though." Even after a battle, her voice is as cheerful as always.
Grumbling, the half orc reached into his pack and pulled out his rope. "Here. Now make this quick," he said as he handed over the rope to the elf. Ghorbash cared little about this fish thing and was ready to see it dead. Before or after the interrogation, it did not matter.
Kathleen takes the rope and tightly restrains the Kuo-toa. After she makes sure that the rope is indeed tight, she wakes the the fish up by gently slapping its face. She then draws her rapier and steps back. "All yours, Gris."
The kuo-toa awakens groggily. It lets out a sound like a boot being pulled out of a mud puddle, and begins struggling against its bonds. It begins to make gradual headway, its naturally slippery skin sliding free.
Seeing a threat, Ghorbash raised his battle axe and brought it down on the head of the kuotoa. The axe struck true right into the creature's head as whatever organs it may have had were sent flying into the pool and upon Ghorbash's face. Pulling his axe back out, he said, "Now, we can move on." and started to survey the cavern for any other tunnels leading to this 'Bubba.'
Attack: Reckless Attack on Kuo Toa: Attack: 25 Damage: 14
Kathleen stares at the water body. She considers undressing and going for a swim but her sense of self-preservation tells her that doing that is asking for the grim reaper to show up. Instead she turns to her companions and says, "I think this might be a good time to try and cross this ditch. The fish-people are most likely confused or frightened and won't attack us now... I hope."
Gris stands tall and speaks to Ghorbash "there is no pride nor knowledge in killing denfenceless being. Be careful barbarian. If you swing your axe carelessly one day you will find your head on its way..Yes. Let's move"
I have 290 as well. I think all the XP we got before this one gave us a total of 90 each.
OK, everyone take another 10 XP. I'm a flexible guy. ;) Congrats on leveling up!
