Kathleen creeps forward, low to the ground. The tunnel widens out as she advances, but still there is no end in sight. She walks for another five uneventful minutes before returning to her friends.
"Area secure," She says as she emerges from the tunnel. She takes out the two scimitars she picked up and says, "Anyone want to dual-wield" before breaking into a giggle. She's clearly still having fun.
Kathleen will take her position in front of Ayoola.
(OOC: Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe our marching order so far is: 1- Ghorbash. I'm not sure about this one 2- Adoy 3- Gris. Again, not sure about this one. 4- Kathleen 5- Ayoola 6- Dwinkle
After Kathleen returned, Ghorbash was eager to move on. Her report yielded nothing, so he took up the point position with his shield and battleax at the ready. He said to the others, "Let us go. We need some light," and he waited for his way to be illuminated before venturing forth.
You proceed at a cautious pace for about thirty minutes, until you reach the end of the tunnel and reach a massive chamber, clearly man-made and coated in the same glowing green phosporescence as the tunnel. There is a twenty foot by twenty foot opening in the center of the floor, the bottom of the pit lost to view. Torches line the walls, lit with purple flames. There is nothing else of interest in the strange room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kathleen picks up a small stone or a broken chain (or takes out her scimitar) and hands it Ayoola. "Why not cast light on this and drop it down the hole?"
Also I'm guessing there's no other doors besides the tunnel we came through so Kathleen will also examine the torches and the walls. Maybe there's a hidden door or secret passage somewhere. Maybe it can be opened by pressing a particular spot on the wall or pushing or pulling a particular torch? She will not take any torches from the walls however, because it may be trapped.
The half orc looks puzzled as the others go about inspecting the cave. He stands at the edge of the pit peering into the darkness with his battleax at the ready. "Long way down," he says to himself.
The scimitar falls a long way before it clangs off one of the pit walls. That is the last sound you hear it make before it is beyond view.
Kathleen stumbles upon a wooden trapdoor at the far end of the chamber, covered in dust and small pebbles. Beneath it is an iron ladder that leads even deeper into the earth.
Kathleen stubs her tow on the trapdoor while wall-humping (Checking every section of the wall for secrets). "Ow ow ow ow!" she says while she hops on one foot and grabs her other foot with her hands. "I stubbed my tow on a... door? Guys! There's a trapdoor over here." She opens it and finds the iron ladder. "Who wants to go first?" You get the impression from her upbeat tone that if no one volunteers, she will very well be the first to go as she is quite eager to find out where the trap door leads.
Adoy will climb down after everyone else makes it down safely. As everyone climbs down he will examine the hatch to see if it has any sort of locking mechanism.
When you touch bottom, only about ten feet down, the ground is boggy and wet. You are wading ankle-deep in green muck and mud. Dwinkle opens his mouth to complain, but gives a quick glance at Ghorbash and just as quickly shuts it again. The same purple torches are sapced at intervals on the walls as you saw in the previous chamber.
Gris "Yes Dwinkle you can be the VETERAN at the back"
"Well! I never! Ghorbash! But you can't expect an orc to know fashion."

Ghorbash

Gris fallows Ghorbash (he can be the 3rd) with spear in his hands

Perception 17
Can't think of a reasonable way to role play Adoy knowing this, but to make purple flames burn potassium. Science is fun.
Gris will look into the pit: "I hope we will not wake up anything ...bad"
Ghorbash
The half orc looks puzzled as the others go about inspecting the cave. He stands at the edge of the pit peering into the darkness with his battleax at the ready. "Long way down," he says to himself.
Ayoola will take the Scimitar and do what Kathleen asks, dropping it into the pit after casting Light on it.
The scimitar falls a long way before it clangs off one of the pit walls. That is the last sound you hear it make before it is beyond view.

"Not me, that's for sure. This one is all yours."
Ghorbash
He walks over and examines the ladder and trapdoor. "Go ahead, elf, " he said in a gruff voice. Once Kathleen starts descending, he follows after her.
Kathleen is more than happy to be the first. She says, "To the unknown!" and quickly descends.
Gris "i will go next".
He will wait a little to see if the ladder is strong enough for 2 persons. If everything looks good he goes"

Dwinkle, of course, is last.
