"Fish are excellent to eat when on an adventure! You need only a small bone or piece of metal or some such thing to work as a hook, then you can take the hair from the tail of a horse and twist it into a fine line at the end of which you tie your hook. Carry that with you and you can always find a bug or something to use as bait and a stick to cast your line, no need to carry lots of food with you."
Adoy then turns to Gris.
"Could you ask our new friend if may take some hair form her tail?"
Dwinkle, who is more than a little intimidated by the hulking Gris, hurriedly agrees to buy some fish. He stops the cart and pops off into the marketplace for about fifteen minutes, returning with a woven basket full of moderately fresh fish.
"Now,"He says a little grumpily, "We will be off!"
Unless I am mistaken, I believe that Gris is in firbolg form.
"Alright! Fish! Thanks Mr.Glittergold." The anticipation of eating fish raises Kathleen's spirits up even higher than they already were. A notable feat as they were already very high to begin with. It is not illogical to assume that were she not on a cart, she would be jumping for joy.
my mistake, the horse is a boy then. for the record that makes his hair better for making fishing line, mares tend to pee on their tails which weakens the hair. I'm not making horse hair fishing line up, I actually make them for fly fishing. Its simple work that requires no tools but it is tedious.
Adoy replies to Gris "I would be happy to learn your spear techniques, the tail hair of a white stallion would work much better anyway, white hair being rounder and than black makes it take the twist much easier. Perhaps I will find some hair at our next stop then I would be happy to teach any of you to make a line. It is a very useful skill, especially for those who like fresh fish, and do not have a spear or a market."
"In the meantime, thank you Dwinkle, I have rarely ever eaten fish form the sea they are more difficult to catch than their river dwelling kin."
Ennis, familiar with both forms of fishing from his years at sea, smiles and nods along with the conversation. When Glittergold returns with the basket of fish, Ennis takes it off of his hands to load onto the cart, eager to get underway.
You begin your ride, leaving the city far behind. A couple guards stop you and ask a few menial questions, but then you are on your way. Dwinkle steers northeast, following a long and winding road which soon leaves behind the idyllic countryside, where a few farmers (Vastly outnumbered by the fisherman) tend their lands and livestock.
The cart is rickety and uncomfortable as well as small, and the adventurers crammed in the back (Aside from the ever-cheerful Kathleen), feel thoroughly unhappy. Ayoola Nu rides in the front with Dwinkle Glittergold in a position of honor, though it is debatable that this is any privilege as the dwarf has not stooped talking for a span of time longer than thirty seconds since you left Byting. His ceaseless chattering only adds to the misery of those crammed in the back.
At about 4:00 in the afternoon you stop for lunch on a large hill overlooking a vast expanse of dry grass and hundreds of hills such as the one you now stand upon, which stretches as far as the eye can see like a golden ocean. The plain is empty of life besides a few crows who shriek as they descend to the ground a mile to the east. Dwinkle, under the pretense of having strained his left thumb, refrains from doing any cooking.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kathleen steps out of the cart and stretches her limbs a bit. All the cheerfulness in the world can't stop the body from getting sore from sitting in a cramped space for so long. She takes a deep breath and takes in the sights. Perception21
Kathleen's keen eyes miss nothing as she scans the landscape. A small herd of creatures rumble across the plains far to the west (You cannot make out the exact species), and vultures are descending upon the carcass of a hapless animal nearby. Your camp is situated about ten miles north of Byting.
Kathleen thinks for a while but curiosity get the better of her as she decides to take a closer look at the vultures and the carcass. She raises a foot to take a step forward before remembering something and turning back. She goes to Gris and Adoy, "You guys like animals right? And, I believe you can talk to them too. How about trying to talk to those vultures over there?"
Gris "Well i can talk to as you call it animals but i do not understand their language. They can show me something or guide me somewhere. What do you want to say to that Vultures?"
"I was thinking, maybe they'd have seen the halfling pass by. Like how Adoy tried to talk to rats in the city. Though these guys are bigger than rats... and have wings... and feathers... and beaks."
"I dare say that's up to our fine patron here," Ennis responds to Ayoola, motioning with his arm towards Dwinkle while still pointedly not looking at him.
Dwinkle is currently fast asleep. From his mutterings, you can tell he seems to be having a nightmare in which he is forced to wear the clothes of a human.

(leans over to whisper in Adoy's ear)
"Pssst...it's a boy horse..."
Gris "Don't worry about hooks and ropes. I will show you how we Firbolgs do it with a spear."
[I can see we need to check the horse sex so Anmial H. To check if this is a boy horse or a girl horse 26 ]

other are not aggressive to Firbolgs so he will stay in his Firbolg form.
As Dwinkle stopped the cart, Gris took a big bow to check horse's ATTRIBUTES
"well Adoy I may not be an expert in this field but it looks that our horse is a healthy boy"
As Dwinkle returnes, Gris smiles wide "You are very good for us mister! You didn't have to"

Gris will feed the horse (well i assume we have something for him on cart).
He gives horse a friendly "pat pat".
" Look Adoy this is how healthy boy looks" and Gris points between horse's rear legs.
[How long sun will be up?]
The sun will be up for a good 4 hours or so. Dwinkle purchased provisions for the horse as well.
