Seeing Lelith fight her way free of the spider-like creature, Rum lopes across towards it, putting himself between it and Lelith.
“What have you gone and found, Lelith?!”, he calls to her jovially as he moves passed her.
“Never seen one of you before”, he says addressing the creature with a smile, before lighting up the claw shaped tattoo on his forearm.
He takes up a boxing stance, dancing from one foot to the other, and then quick as a flash sends a fist in it’s direction. The ink from the tattoo glows orange and flies from his arm closing the distance to the spider creature and catching it squarely in what counts for a head. Fire exploding from the point of contact.
“Your turn”, he says whilst backing slightly away and continuing to bob and weave.
Movement: 35ft East to just below the ropes hanging down and almost directly under the creature. Bonus Action: Activate Eldritch Claw Tattoo - Eldritch Maul - Round 1/10 Action: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul): 20+8=28[crit] Damage: (3+3) + 6 = 12 [Fire], (3+1) = 4 [Force]. Total = 16 Movement: 5ft South-East to end on the bed. Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him. Reaction: He does have reactions, will post again if applicable
The strike does its thing. The creature on the roof takes the hit hard and comes loose, falling past Rum, down past the second floor, and crashing into the floor of the 1st room below with a resounding thud. It did not look like it was having a good time when it began to turn about on its gangly legs and heads for the eastern wall.
Ro watched as the gnoll that had charged him fell under Tuto's spell. With the immediate threats managed for a moment, Ro informed the party, "I can keep these gnolls occupied for a little under a minute. We can either take them down one at a time, or leave them here and handle the spider creature that fell downstairs."
The elf-dwarf encants Chill Touch but delays its activation.
Action: using the ready action to cast Chill Touch against a designated gnoll. (Trigger: when/ if the band decides to take down the gnolls first).
Seeing the creature fall past him, Oten launches his javelin after it before reeling it back as he rushes over to get next to the gnoll that Ro is facing. Down below, his steel defender scuttles after the creature that has fallen from above, and its bladed tail lashes out at one of the thing's legs.
Oten's Attack: Attack: 16 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
"OOOO!!" Tuto cried when the creature hit the ground across from him and got up seconds later. Without looking back, Tuto takes off up the stairs to the second floor and making his way up to the third.
Greko was about to answer the call from the Auryn when he is startled by a falling creature. Causing more panic in Greko is Tuto screaming and running all the way to the 3rd floor leaving Greko to face the beast. Greko rolls up his sleeves and decides to take cover behind anything that is around him. He quickly shoots off a guiding bolt at the creature. He then whispers in Druidic. He begins to glow with little arrows all over his body, which he then lets fly at the beast.
To Hit: 1d20 (9) + 6 = 15 Damage: 4d6 (3, 5, 4, 1) + 1d6 (1) [magical radiant] = 14 Effect: Guiding Bolt [2 rounds] the next attack roll made against this target before the end of your next turn has advantage Archer Attack To Hit: 1d20 (12) + 6 = 18 Damage: 1d8 (8) + 4 [radiant] = 12
Rum watches the spider creature tumble from the ceiling after his punch and fall through the hole in the floor. Stepping forward he leans over the edge to see that it had gone all the way to first floor where they entered the tree.
He looks over to Lelith and shrugs. "Back soon", he says to her before stepping forward into the hole himself and dropping out of sight.
He falls passed the second floor, getting a brief glimpse of the others and the gnolls prostrating themselves. A curious smile spreads across his face.
Just as he disappears from the view of his friends on the second floor, those that are perceptive would see spectral dragon wings sprout from his back, beginning to slow his descent.
Those on the first floor witness him landing gently into a crouch, the spectral wings disappearing as he does so.
He looks up to the wall where the spider creature is and steps forward to within 15ft feet, spotting Greko all lit up as he does so, his eyes widening slightly in surprise. He turns back to the creature.
“Tut tut, no running away now”, he says as he aims a punch in it’s direction, the tattoo once again sending inky orange firey tendrils to cover the distance between them. This time he reaches into his inner reserves and follows the first punch up with a second, and then a roundhouse kick for good measure. Each time the orange firey tendrils cover the distance between him and the creature.
He steps back, puts his palm up with his claws pointed towards the creature and bends his claws towards himself twice, motioning for it to come here.
Movement: 10ft off the edge of the floor, to then fall to the first floor - Falling Damage (4d6): 5+1+1+6= 13 Reaction: Slow Fall to negate 20 (All) damage, meaning he lands on his feet. Note: The spectral dragon wings are just flavour for the Slow Fall ability. Movement: Steps to within 15ft of spider creature (not sure how far that is) Action: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul): 6+8=14 Damage: 9 [Fire] + 3 [force] = 12 Bonus Action: 1 Ki point - Flurry of blows: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul): 15+8=23 Damage: 7 [Fire] + 4 [force] = 11 Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul): 9+8=17 Damage: 9 [Fire] + 5 [force] = 14 Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him Movement: Steps away however many feet are left (40-10-??) Never able to master any sort of close combat himself, Ro watched in awe as Rum dropped down several floors and beat the spider-like creature to a pulp. "Excellent work you two!" Ro shouted towards Greko and Rum, "If everyone can come to the second floor, we can take care of these gnolls one by one."
The elf-dwarf turned his attention to the pack of groveling gnolls. Being able to use his newfound abilities so soon and to such a successful degree was exhilarating.
Ro said a quick incantation and prepared himself to attack in unison with the warforged next to him, "On your mark, Oten."
Action: taking the ready action to cast Chill Touch at whichever gnoll Oten targets.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Oten's javelin lands back in his hand, he sees the others make short work of his missed mark. He hears Ro speak his name and snaps his attention to their current floor. He holds up his javelin, prepared to strike at the gnoll next to him and looks up to make eye contact with Ro. "Now." He plunges the javelin down.
Attack: 15 Damage: 12
The steel defender begins making its way up the stairs
On Oten's command, Ro unleashes his spell at the same gnoll the warforged had attacked. The elf-dwarf made a clawed swipe at the air towards the gnoll, and as he did a skeletal hand apparated and slashed at its target.
Reaction: cast Chill Touch at the gnoll Oten attacked.
Chill Touch: 11 to hit, 8 necrotic damage (on hit, gnoll can't regain hp until the start of Ro's next turn).
Greko walks over to the dead rock lobster and looks it over. He has never seen such an aberration of nature before. He cannot help but look it over and see what the cause of this was. As he is doing this he shouts over to Rum
"Perhaps you could tell the others to push the gnolls down the pit where there are spikes or perhaps push them into the oozes. Oozes love a snack but I would try the pit with spikes first" Greko turns back to the monster and begins detailing what he sees in his journal
Oten's attack rends the Gnoll he targets, releasing it from its Hypnosis. Still, it doesn't look like it's having a good time from its nasty javelin wound.
The rest of the Gnolls are still groveling, save for the one going to protect Lelith.
Lelith's face flushed in a mixture of wild and dangerous emotions, embarrassment, wrath, indignation, and frustration. She did not answer Rum's question, she doubted he even noticed her current state but she could hardly make coherent rational thoughts, just enough to not make things worse than she already caused them to be. She had been humiliated, she had been forced to call on the help of her companions. It made her very skin crawl in unjustified disgust as well as anger at both herself, the creature that put her in such a situation, and her companions for answering her call. She had been exposed, her perfect skin once again was torn open by the insidious hands of her enemies and her precious blood flowed once more, turning the clothes that were slowly mending to protect her decency crimson red. There was only one thing in her mind, she needed to release these emotions lest she suffers the backlash, even now her physiology already experienced changes as her hair from its roots was turning a fiery red, her eyes a golden-brown, and wisps of flames would stutter into existence every few seconds around her. She would not suffer the disgrace of turning into a Summer Eladrin now. Gripping her rapier so tightly that her knuckles turned white, she stabbed it with what little finesse she could still muster at the first target she could find, some grovelling Gnoll, and she'll rip it apart for the offence of existence.
Bonus Action: Hunter's Mark on grovelling Gnoll, first spell slot expended.
Rum looks to Greko, then up through the hole in the ceiling, seeing the others very close. He shrugs assuming they must have heard the suggestion.
His muscles then bunch as he produces a surge of energy, he jumps up onto the side of the stairs and climbs onto them, before loping back onto the second floor.
He looks about and finds the Gnolls still prostrating themselves, and heads over to one lying by themselves.
“It is unfortunate, but you chose the wrong side and I must teach you the error of your ways”, he says whilst looking down on it, before grabbing it’s scruff with one claw and punching it twice in the face with the other. As the blows connect fiery draconic energy is once again produced.
Special: Uses Feline Agility to double his movement to 80ft Movement: Uses climbing speed to get onto the stairs, then moves up to the second floor, heading East to an enemy by itself. Action: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul, advantage as prone): (19,10)+8=27 Damage: 10 [Fire] + 1 [force] = 11 Bonus Action: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul, advantage as prone): (19,20)+8=28 [crit] Damage: 11 [Fire] + 5 [force] = 16 Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him Reaction: He does have reactions, will post again if applicable
Heeding Greko's advice, Ro looked for any gnolls that were nearby a hole that dropped down towards the spike or slime hazards on the first floor. If there were any, the elf-dwarf attempted to shove said gnoll down the hole. If there weren't any available, Ro would instead continue the band's onslaught and attack the closest, prone gnoll with a dagger.
If there is a gnoll to push down a hole into spikes/ slime: Action: shove a gnoll down the hole Athletics: 15
If there isn't a gnoll to push, Ro attacks the closest gnoll: Action: attack gnoll with a dagger Attack: 19 Damage: 4
As his steel defender continues its way up to the second floor, Oten looks at the severely wounded gnoll before him, he raises his javelin coldly and moves to finish the job.
Attack: 12 Damage: 7
If it is finished off, then Oten will use his enhanced movement speed to rush towards the other gnoll that he had identified as being close to the edge.
The sudden attack from the band takes down three of the Gnolls immediately and wounds a fourth, leaving two. One, a rather mean looking creature, emerges from its reverie and looks around, dazed and pissed off. With none in an opportune spot to push down, Ro has to settle for his dagger attack...and it's just enough to kill one of the injured ones.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tuto froze in his steps as he watched Lelith carve into the gnoll. Giving himself a moment, he turns on his heels, feeling she didn't need help after all. Tuto heads up to the second level, thankful that they're still charmed, and swiped at the nearest ones heel.
Attack: 15 Damage: 6
