Ward sighs and slowly moves in front of Travin. “Friend, not now. I understand your anger, but we cannot let one life cost a thousand more. How many Gavin’s will die should we fail? How many more Gavin’s will be placed in harms way? First we must kill Blix, then we can save your brother. But if we cannot stop Blix first, then your brother will be one of hundreds dead at the gates of the castle. Do you understand?” Ward says, before gently placing his hand on the weapon and attempting to lower it.

Travin continues walking forward. He wrenches the weapon away from Ward's hand and repositions his aim back to Jareth's head. This the only response Ward receives.
Although as he gets closer to Travin, Ward can see veins popping in the creatures wrinkled forehead, blood pumping and pulsing through his head and in his ears, and whilst he reacts to the movement, Travin doesn't seem to hear Ward's reasoning. His eyes still burn with furious desperation.
Ward mutters to himself “God is this going to be a recurring theme.” Before Disguise selfing as the child version of Gavin before moving in front of Travin. “This isn’t how you save me brother. This won’t help me stay safe.” Ward says as Gavin

It takes Travin a confused moment to realise what he is seeing before him, but as his mind remembers the innocent face of his younger brother he lowers the weapon and grabs at Gavin's hand, "Travin is so sorry, Gavin, Gavin was gone an-and Travin failed you, sents you away and I'm so sorry... Please, please come back with Travin yeah? We promises to be better hmm? To makes it up to Gavin, to-to leaves this place and never comes back! Please Gavin, Trav can't survives without you..." His raspy voice shudders through sobs as he crumples to a weeping kneel before the visage of his brother, his madness not letting him decipher reality from illusion.
Only once he has pleaded with Ward's disguise does he let go of the spell holding Jareth at bay, but he retains the grip he has on Ward's hand, as he screams out in sorrow and guilt.
Jareth clutches at himself as he is released from Travin's manipulations. He falls to the ground, hitting on his hands and knees, his Crystal Ball falling from his ruffled clothing. He grasps for it.
"Fine, you want Gavin?" He says, huffing. "You want your brother you so readily gave up? I'd have already give him to you if I could, but it's beyond me to fix him now. He left the Labyrinth a long time ago and went into the service of the Lord of Darkness. Is that what you wanted to hear? Your brother is Blix."
He grasped the Crystal Ball, and then turned. His jacket morphed into a sort of cloak, then a blanket, and then the blanket fell flat on the ground.
Delphinium hearing that there will be time to rest doesn't feel that tired. They had too many questions and too much energy. All this talk of plans and what not was getting bothersome but it had to be done if they were to have fun again. It's a sad sad day when a fairy isn't having fun. Which brought to mind a question in Delph's head. What happened to the fairies here?
Delphinium flutters away from the party a bit and finds hoggle who was in the gathering. Delph knows he doesn't like most of the dawn guard but the fairy has been very pleasant and polite to him. When he find the Dwarf he asks "Hoggle. What happened to the fairies here? People keep saying they bite but that doesn't sound like fairies. We prank, we play, we can be mean and even vengeful; but to be known only for biting... that seems off to me. Can you tell me what happened to them?"
Whether Delph gets and answer or not the calm before the battle is interrupted by Travin's sudden yells of anguish and their attack on Jerath. The fairy is flabbergasted at first as their friends leap to stop him in various ways. Taking the form of his little brother and getting him to release Jerath who tells a final and terrible truth. Their enemy is travin's brother. A horrifying thought for even Delph as they try and think what they would do if their sister was evil.
They flutter over to travin to console them and says "I guess no more blow up plan. I prefer it this way. Now we know who he is but maybe he's been driven mad like our friends. He needs to see his brother. Did he even recognize you before? This stuff on you, it hides who you are. He needs to see his brother and his brother needs to apologize. Needs to show he is sorry. Needs to show he still loves him. Travin, if there was ever a person to save him it's you."
Travin holds the illusion of Gavin closer as Jareth angrily reveals his last truth. Looking into the eyes of his brother he tries to remember the face of Blix in the ballroom. Ward can see Travin's tiny brain attempting to connect the dots, make sense of this new information whilst drowning in his own overwhelming emotions.
When Delph flies over to console Travin, he seems to listen through sobs, but does not look away from the Gavin illusion, "Travin must saves his brother, Gavin still deserves to be saved" he manages to eek out through his shuddered breath.
He then takes Ward's hand and leads him over to sit somewhere and pulls out his Sax-a-Boom once more, after putting away the hand mortar. "Can Gavin stay until we sleeps? Yeh? Travin would like to play for Gavin again. Hmm?"
With no answer necessary Trav plays a lullaby on his sax, the low electronic notes not really suitable but he does his best with the preset rhythms as he casts out a countercharm simply to ease the tensions within himself, protecting himself and all who hear him against being frightened until he falls asleep, exhausted, plastic mouthpiece hanging from his mouth.
Johnathan was still sulking in the corner, ready to give up for good. That was until he heard that name. LOD OF DARKNESS. He was about to enter a frenzy when he then realised that Gavin was Travin. He listens to Travin’s song and a part of him eases. He has a memory flash of being back home with his family, working the forge with his family. He remembers the joy they brought him and how they were the reason he started this mission. Johnathan had almost forgot these memories, how precious they were to him. He sees the love in Travin’s eyes and the regret of what he had done to his brother. Johnathan finally speaks. This may be an illusion but I refuse to believe everything in life is fake. I know I love my family, and no God or being could fake that. Travin if you have a chance to save your family then you must do it. I don’t know if Gavin is still in there but you will regret it if you don’t try. I can’t offer you much, but I’ll do what I can to help. Be pauses and turns his back as he prepares his bedroll for the night. Whatever happens, you will have a chance to save him. Just make it count. Johnathan goes to sleep for the night.
Kerwyn looks around and says, “I didn’t do it! I tell ya, I didn’t do it! This time it isn’t me…” He walks over to Travis and sits down beside him, says “That’s a tough go. Maybe we can save Gavin. I mean Blix. I mean Gavin. And stop all of this mess. Maybe we’ll come up with something. I’m sorry I sliced up your brother, my man.” Kerwyn is trying really hard to connect with Travin, he just has difficulties sharing his feelings… to an outside observer, it appears awkward.

Delphinium smiles at Kerwyn voicing sparing Blix. They flutter over and pat them kindly on the top of their head like a child that learned a valuable lesson. "Awww, Kerwyn! You're learning. I'm so proud of you!" The fairy then flies over to Travin and says "You can rest. You'll need all your wits about you for talking with your brother. I'll join you too, if you want, as he knows I can't lie so it will give him credence to your claim even if he can't recognize you. What I'm saying is you don't have to talk to him alone. I bet it's all going to work out! Don't you fret none Travin." The fairy will then let Travin sleep letting them be unless called on and the fairy tries to pick up their conversation with Hoggle again. "So, Hoggle. Do you know what happened?"

When Delphinium originally approached Hoggle, he instinctively grabbed towards his bugspray. Realizing it's just Delphinium, he still grabs the bug spray. He is about to respond when Travin's outburst happens. He watches in shock as the little creature attacks Jareth.
The fairy will then let Travin sleep letting them be unless called on and the fairy tries to pick up their conversation with Hoggle again. "So, Hoggle. Do you know what happened?"
Hoggle looks to the little Fairy in surprise. "What happened? You all attacked Jareth! That's what happened! Hoggle saw it! No harm was done, but that little one was going to shoot him, just like he shot Hoggle! You all are crazy, why do we need to work with you? Probably take that gun away from that one, that's what Hoggle thinks! Oh wait, were you talking about the fairies again? Hoggle knows about fairies, they are annoying and biting little buggers, that's why I have my spray. They fly around and mess with Hoggles plants and bite. You are the odd one, that's what Hoggle thinks. You go around talking and being annoying without biting. That's nicer than the other fairies, at least. You friends are crazy though, you need to put them on a tighter leash!" Hoggle nods to himself, then makes his way away from the rest of the Dawn Guard.
Delphinium nods in agreement with Hoggle and continues to fly next to them, "Well, I'm not crazy but... Yeah, the others seem to have been just the worst guests in your lands. I think my friends just don't know how to handle fey things. I'll try to keep them out of trouble but it's hard with all the other stuff going on. Also... I don't usually like being all... responsible." they sound almost sick saying the last word. "Urgh... anyway, I'm not a feylord with subjects to take care of. Fairies just like to have fun. At least all the one's I've met and I've lived half my life in the feywild! I think something happened to your fairies to make them only be known for biting. Who could I ask that might know what caused them to be all bitey? Perhaps, I can help make them not bite and make things better for you all."
Shavaris sees that once Jareth is gone and Ward and Kerwyn pacifying Travin, all threats seem to have died down. Delph starts getting Hoggle riled up again, but she just shakes her head and heads towards the glittering trees. Once she sees one she likes, she nimbly ambers up it and settles into the crook of a large branch, one that gives her a good view of her party down below.
Sighing deeply, "Eloise? I hope you're close. We have quite a situation on our hands that we are diving into tomorrow. I could sure use your help and guidance." She remains quiet for a period of time, reflecting on the days activities, then runs her tongue over her teeth. "Eloise, did you know what I have become? Is there any way to get rid of the affliction? Is it... is it what happened to you?" Knowing she won't get a response, she closes her eyes and falls into a troubled sleep.
Sarah watches stunned at Travin's outburst. As Jareth drops the news and disappears, she says, horrified, "I can't believe he.... well, maybe that's for the best." She shakes her head, turning to the whimpering and sax-playing Travin, and his comrades attempting to comfort him as he dozes off. "I can't imagine. I'm so sorry."
Lord Commander Didymus sniffs all business-like as he paces back and forth, his brilliant plan unfolding in his mutterings. "And we'll make our mighty stand, more numerous than the drops of dew before they fall away at the rising of the sun! Blinding the Goblin Army! They'll never know what hit them! Not that we'll hit them, of course. Come with me, Ludo! Let us gather our people!"
Ludo smiles, grunts, and pounds a solid fist into his other hand.
"Distractions only, my friend!" Lord Commander Didymus yips. "In fact, we're going to build a wall! We'll let the goblins pay for it, too! Come, we've much work to do before the Dawn!"His mind as busy as his pattering feet, the Lupine races off, and Ludo shambles after him. Even as he winds out of sight among the squat buildings of the town, those remaining hear a trumpet blare, like a herald summoning reinforcements from their evening slumber.
Ward waits until Travin falls asleep before dropping the form of Gavin, patting his shoulder. “Sleep well friend.” Ward says before moving away from the group and using Conjure Animals to summon as many centipede hordes as he can to harvest their poison before going to bed, on his way finding a solid looking piece of wood for what he needs, and working on carving it the best he can for a barrel for a little while before he goes to bed.
After cheering up Travin, or making an attempt to, Kerwyn tucks in, pulling up his bedroll beside Ole Ironsides and starts to sleep. He dreams of a master illusionist, hiding behind the curtain, pulling levers and affecting them all. He makes fast motions with his hands, acts like a magician, or a street carny. He sees him reach into his pockets and pull out two shiny crystal balls that he starts to play with, then he wakes up in a sweat, looking around. “Seven hours passed already? Well, let’s get up and at em.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
When Travin wakes he seems groggy, unusually quiet, and keeps mostly to himself. He waits for the group to get themselves ready, as he himself uses no bedroll and prepares nothing for sleep, he is always ready.
He gives a nod to Birt and wakes Gorky to prepare them for the journey.
As the camp starts to wake, Shavaris stretches on her branch and looks down to those gathering in the clearing. She feels good. Shedding the exhaustion she had felt yesterday really did wonders, and she was ready. Not only were they going to get that alicorn back and right things here in the labyrinth, but they were going to reunite Travin with his brother! True... that might not go well, but, at least they can say they tried and Travin won't be checking every goblin in goblin city for his brother.
She leaps down from her perch and heads over to her band, "You guys ready? I think it's finally time to get to Goblin City and the Castle." She then finds Didymus and his gathered group, "Sir Didymus, are you ready? This isn't going to be easy, but I have no doubt you'll be the best distraction this labyrinth has ever seen! Shall we roll on out?"
Barring anyone stopping the forward momentum to head towards the city, she turns back to her group, "I'm going to scout ahead, see what we have ahead of us. I'll be back, let's move!" Her friends can see the excitement in her eyes as they really have a goal now and she has something concrete to hold onto. She darts on ahead.
"Ha, fair maiden!" Lord Commander said, his chest puffed out, his maul now wielded like a scepter. "The morning air brings good tidings, Maid Shavaris! Yes, indeed! For Sir Ludo and the Horned Beasts have been hard at work at the frontlines all through the night! Verily! They've already begun to build the wall! And our artillery have been shooting notes over the wall all night to inform the Goblins that they will be billed for this wall! And what luck! They've assembled their army, and they're watching us from the walls!"
The walk from the camp through the woods is no short endeavor. They spend a couple of miles trekking along a winding, well worn path through the forest. Sir Didymus remained mounted on Amborsius, his noble steed, as they moved, and a small compliment of Dwarves and Fireys walked in column behind. Hoggle complained the whole way, removing his hat from his head, wringing it, returning it to his head, adjusting it, wringing some more, coming scraggly gray hair with fat fingers. At the end of this leg of their journey they came to a wide clearing between the glittering woods and the palisaded walls of the Goblin City.
The Horned Beasts were hard at work in the clearing, many of them standing about and uttering their baleful moans as they commanded the very rocks to take positions and create a wall of their own set some one hundred yards from the walls of the Goblins. The Goblins protested this fervently from their positions along their palisades, hurling insults in the Goblin tongue, hurling rocks, hurling spears and arrows, hurling rotten fruits and vegetables and whatever grossities they could get their hands on. Multiple gates stood closed along the wall; there were at least three that the Dawn Guard could see. In the center of each of these gates were huge, iron goblins, metallic in construction and holding two huge shields each.
"Oh, those are new." Sarah said, kneeling behind a rock next to the Dawn Guard and pointing at the shields. "Last time I saw one of those things it just had a battle axe."
"Goddesses..." Hoggle said, running a hand down his face as he looked at the shielded constructs. "I told Jareth last year that this was a bad idea when I was helping install those damn things."
Goblins ran along the walls between the gates, pointing, shouting, doing their thing. Some looked through loops and murder holes. Some stood precariously on the palisades and menacingly shook all variety of weapons, from scimitars to crossbows, sharp sticks and spears, and even polearms with formidable looking creatures tied to the ends; things covered in teeth and fangs and claws. More than one armored Goblin took pop shots with guns and hand mortars at the sappers constructing the new walls.
A helmet rattled in the no-mans-land between the two walls; a helmet some over zealous Goblin had thrown.
A tall Malamute Lupine with a lightning bolt scar bedraggled down a missing eye stepped up to Lord Commander Didymus and saluted by showing the broadside of his sword and raising it to his face. Sir Didymus returned the gesture with his maul.
"Lord Commander, the armies are assembled into three combined force corps. Be advised, the Goblins on the walls are just a harrying force. They've divided their main body into three opposing corps behind each of the main gates. No doubt that they'll activate the Dreadnaughts before they decide to push. Our spies indicate to us that each Dreadnaught already has a Goblin in the cockpit; they're ready to go."
"Well done, Sir Rufus." Sir Didymus said with a nod. "By request, we hold the line. Keep their eyes on us."
Ward watches over the battlefield, taking a few moments to think. "The constructs, should they press the attack. Burn them, Heat wherever the driver lies. It will burn them on the inside. Dig pits as well, spikes inside them, behind the wall. Pull their army into traps. Slow them down as much as possible before you begin to fight. They likely plan to hide behind those behemoths, so if they cannot follow you, then they will be weakened for a while at least. Your spies, have they managed to find where they keep their gunpowder stores? I believe I may have a way to neutralize Blix without killing him. Multiple ways. Speaking of, you happen to have some blowdarts on you? I need a backup for the bombs." Ward says, pulling out a carved piece of wood. "Should the opportunity arise, I can fill this with darts using the poison of centipedes, which might be enough to paralyze him if he is weakened. I assume no one has spotted Blix as of yet either?" Ward says, mixing a handful of herbs with the liquid slime goop to create as strong of a glue as he can before attaching the wooden tube to the bottom of his arm and holding it there as it hardens. Also tucking a round piece of wood into his bags

The Battle of the Goblin City
It'll take a lot more than words and guns...
...a whole lot more than riches and muscle...
"At your command, Lord Commander."
