"gremlinses have fat heads and this glue will hold them togethers, hmm? Skin will break before glue let's go yeh yeh" Travin mentions to Dageron as he inspects the little beasts, Birt casually smacks one particularly unruly one upside the head to calm it.
When the group continues moving on Delphinium takes to the skies for the most part. Scouting and checking various things from on high and confirming time and time again that nothing nice seems to remain in this place. Ever the fighter though Delphinium continues to scout and check not only in a strange way of defying the corrupted land but also to keep an eye out for their friends. Last thing they need is another Deadfall so the fairy was being pretty keen to keep an eye out for anything odd and would help direct the party in their journey towards the labyrinth and hopefully a sense of safety and peace. Delphinium wasn't sure how long they could continue to stand this place.
It would become common sight for Delphinium to always be a little blue ball of light in the sky above the party. Like a tiny symbol of hope rising above the insidious forest that sprawls out before them. they would dart down whenever they spotted something that look dangerous and help guide the group through the deadly lands. During camp the fairy would land somewhere and use the little bit of druid magic they know to make a flower to lay on. They didn't seem comfortable laying on the corrupted land below them. The flower wouldn't survive once they left but it did give the fairy a sense of normalcy. They would always check the hydra eggs at night making sure Havoc Dart's egg harness was well secured. They would take their shift at watch.
During the early parts of camp Delphinium would try to lighten the mood by sharing some tales of his time in the forest with his sister and mother. Tales of pranks and animals frolicking. Then also share tales of their time in the feywild which were strange and magical tales. Delph avoided anything depressing and instead seems to paint a split life where they spent one year with their father and one year with the mother. Always alternating their home each year along with their sister. The pair of which would always find a way to get into trouble or at the very least cause a ruckus. "My father was finding Almiraj throughout his estate for years after that! I mean, how were we to know making tunnels in the manor walls was an ideal nesting area for them?" tales would often ends with someone having trouble for some time. Often with Delph and their sister having to clean up after their messes.
Whether the tales help the others or not Delphinium seems better talking about escaped deer herds and over populations of Almiraj then about the place they find themselves in now. The next day they would always seem to be a bit depressed at first but then summon up a bunch of "screw-the-day-I'm-happy-dammit" and gets back to scouting as a bright blue ball of hyper energy. After a full day of travelingon the next day Delphinium seems to spot something and instead of their normal place high above the group they zoom off like a bolt of lightning towards something. Its sometime before they come back and report. The fairy looking a bit disturbed as they flutter over the group and gather everyone up "Come come. gather up. I found something but no one is going to like it."
Once everyone is paying attention the fairy says "I think we are near Falcon Crest. Or at least some city that had walls. I know we are heading to the labyrinth but we seem to have gone off course a bit and ended up near it. It's not far for you all to get to... but... well... there is no easy way to say this so I'm just going to blurt it out. I think we got lost in time. Looks like decades have eroded the city. Not good. Not good at all when time stuff like this happens. I need a way to get in touch with my family now. The first thing you do when you get separated by time is to find your nearest loved ones and get in touch. Apparently my uncle Glispber fell into a strange dimension and lost 150 years! However, I don't remember us ever traveling across dimensions and that is normally where time gets wonky. Feywild is famed for it, so a lot of families in the feywild make plans for it. You never assume someone is dead unless you find a body. Oh! wait, how long do you all live? Bah, I'm sure you got descendants at least."
Dageron shakes his head, "This is not a new dimension or time. The dark forces won, and merely reshaped reality to their will. Such is the power of the great artifacts they used, and the conjunction."
Johnathan gives a concerned look at Delph as they mention the possibility that they have traveled in time. That can’t be Delph. We would have felt something, anything. It must just be an illusion or a trap to lure us in. This place has shown its ability to confuse us. That said, I think we should look at this. We can’t risk not knowing now.
"I'm just telling you what I think. I might be wrong. You can all make up your own mind. The city is over there." delphinium points in a direction. "Probably less then an hour walk for you all."
"Travin lost count after two hundred and thirty two years, yeh yeh! But Adam says us humanses only live for eighty! hah!" Travin interrupts helpfully.
Over the past few days since the deadfall fight Travin has seemed content to fuss over his two horses, of which he has now stolen the saddle bags from, and making sure that Birt is keeping the Gremlins in check. Travin sings to the gremlins on a night but it doesn't seem to calm them, especially after he glued them all together. at odd times travin can be found playing with magic and tossing warbling balls of chaos energy just out into the forest, he seems to bend his luck sometimes, turning the tides of chaos in one way or another, and at one point the spell backfires and explodes in Travin's face, the result of which is that he disappears completely for a full minute, having been turned completely invisible and mute.
Adam listens to Delph’s words and there is a furrowed brow as it is clear that he is thinking. He is clearly worried, concerned. “We are definitely going there. We need to check it out. Delph, a time shift as you say. Has time moved forward? Or backward? I’ve got to see if anyone can be saved, I must check on my home….” Adam starts walking toward the town, without looking back, but hoping his friends would accompany him.

Shavaris enjoys the distraction of Delph as they flutter around trying the make the most of the situation. She listens to their stories, finding it interesting how they split their time betwene their mother and father. Her parents have been gone so long she barely remembers them, over a hundred years at least. But part of the stories gives her melancholy as it makes her ache for her sister to be alive and with them, not just as the spirit she is.
Delph's claim that they traveled through time, enough to decay a city? "Delph, that just can't be. You have traveled through time, do you feel it? Do you notice when it happens? I mean, other than being distracted by this awful forest, I don't see how.."
She then turns to Ward and Johnathan, "That orb you two had... the one that Jareth gave Johnathan and those creatures took... would that have done anything like what Delph is describing about the town? This forest reeks of those creatures... would they.. could they have anything to do with our situation?" She shudders at the thought, remembering how it was when they ran into them.
She then sidles up next to Adam, Running Bird behind her, "Falcon Crest it is, you know we're with you."
Adam pulls up short when Ward asks him the question. He finds a spot of dirt and takes a stick, starts to draw a rudimentary map. “Well, here’s the church and the little house next door where I grew up. Here’s the house of that uppity old Mr. McCree, that’s where Billy and Josie lived, there’s the general store and that’s where Sheriff McGillicutty’s office was. In the woods over here is where I lost my favorite slingshot and that over there is where I broke my favorite walking stick that I had carved. Got the lay of the land now?” Adam looks up at Ward, hands in hips, admiring his drawing in the dirt. Then he starts walking again, giving Shavaris a smile when she joins him.

"perhaps we dids not travel through time hmmm? But it did! yeh yeh, labyrinth and fey magics can warps time yes? Hmmmm? And if the magics is effecting the town then maybe just the town and the forest sped up a littles, or a lots! Yeh yeh"
You may have a point Shavaris. I had the orb for a short time so I don’t think I learnt everything about it yet. I know it can teleport across spaces and planes. Its time capability was a bit harder to master but those monsters seemed to know what it was. Maybe they know how to fully use it.
"I'm not expert in time magics. I just know in the feywild it's a danger if you go hoping into portals and holes you shouldn't be. However, I don't remember anything like that. I just know enough to know it looks like the city been abandoned for a long time. I was 100 feet up but I didn't see any obvious signs of battle with my fly over like strewn weapons and arrows. The wall was down but it looked like the weird not-vines overgrew them and tore it down with time. Whatever the case, you will want to see with your own eyes to confirm what has happened. Could be Daggy is right but... why were we not changed as well if so? Anyway, it is this way, maybe there will be answers there." Delphinium begins to lead folks to what they believe is Falcon Crest.
Ward looks at the map and turns back to Adam. "Do you know an approximate size of the town? If I can get that and with your help I can determine if the town is larger or smaller than when you lived here. If there is time dilatation that will assist in determining it's direction." Ward says

Dageron motions for the others to pause a moment. "We need to discuss a plan of approach and egress, in case we need to fall back. With the extent of change made throughout this place we must assume the terrain is to the advantage of any enemies we encounter. For that reason, I recommend we get to within a ten minute walk distance from the town, about a half mile out. We should take our time in scouting a spot with good sight lines, and preferably a useful terrain advantage, such as high ground, clearance from the surrounding trees, rock outcroppings, and large streams or water bodies. I suggest we identify the most defensible place we can, then build punji stakes and a basic screening wall of wood branches and a shallow trench line. Perhaps a lean-to as well. Something we can take cover behind and maintain a fire within without drawing too much notice. The work would only take a few hours, and give Delphinium time to continue to scout from the air more extensively to identify the town landmarks sufficiently for them to draft us a more in-depth map. In summary, I am suggesting we don't barge in without a means to escape or a place to fall back to, and that we scout significantly more. It is reasonable to assume that night time may change the nature of adversaries we may encounter as well, and we do not want to find ourselves lurking around that town if abandoned when darkness falls, given that it may itself be a stronghold for more unnatural creatures. Conversely, if there are friendlies there, Delphinium would eventually see them if given more time to observe." He is talking to the group, but looking directly at Adam.
As tactic talk takes place Travin retreats into his junk pile and seems to move around inside, after a moment he brings out five pieces of paper, a blank scroll, an ink pen and a bottle of ink, he then holds them out in front of him and merely says "map!" With a wide smile on his face

The size of a town that would hold roughly 50 settlers into the area. After he finishes, he titles it Falcon Crest at the bottom and looks up at Travin. “I don’t want to wait y’all. I want to have a look.” He kneels down and straps on his winged boots and launches into the air, getting some altitude to see into Falcon Crest, looking to see if it looks like it used to.
