Shavaris looks at Delphinium, unsure if they know how dire she feels the situation is right now, but smiles at them anyways when they say they don't want to see her cry.
To the ghostbusters, "Well, maybe together we can find him then. As my friend is saying, there is rumor that he is changing kids at Coney Island, do know where where that is?" Shavaris pulls back the hood on her cloak, and asks, "There is someone we know that is um, changing.. do you know of a way to stop this?"
"IvoShandor?" All four of the males say, glancing at one another. There's a couple of hushed whispers, nothing of which seems to matter too much.
"We should have suspected." Spengler says, sounding almost disappointed in himself. "Shandor's influence over New York, especially following the Manhattan Cross Rip, shouldn't be underestimated."
"What's the connection? Do you know?" Zeddemore asks Dageron.
"I'm...not sure." Stantz says when Shavaris takes her cloak down. "We might be able to work on it? Usually killing the Master Vampire does it but I'm not sure if that's a guarantee. I can dig through my stacks, see if I come up with something. Come over here, let me get a closer look."
Stantz reaches behind himself and unclips a set of goggles from the weird backpack on his back and slides them on as he motions Shavaris over.
While the rest of the Ghostbusters are discussing their situation, Janine looks at T-ward.
"Uhm...down the stairs and in the back. But if you leave it gummed up with bolts you better dig them out!"
"We do not know the connection. We were given the name by a powerful entity, the master of the Labyrinth. The same who sent us here to save your world." Dageron replies.
There are several muffled yells and shouts from the bathroom downstairs,
"Hey *******! I can feel you up there!..."
Then a beat.
"Come out, you piece of shit!..."
Then a long pause before a big scream.
"STOP THAT, WHAT DO YOU WANT!?"
And T-Ward comes running out of the bathroom, pausing in front of the pile of treasures before grabbing and pocketing two diamonds and sprinting out of the building clutching his chest in pain.
Janine, hearing the weird sound downstairs, steps past the Ghostbusters, who are still looking at one another while listening to Travin have his mental break in the bathroom. She gives Shavaris wide berth as she moves to the stairs and looks over.
"Oh my gawd!" She says, leaning over the railing and looking at the pile of money. "What the hell is that!?"
Shavaris eyes Stantz warily, but walks over to him, her curiosity getting the best of her. As well as ANY possibility to rid herself and others of this affliction.
She hears Travin and is torn to follow after him, but waits to see what the ghostbusters do and still wants Stantz to do what he was going to do.
That pile of loot appearing drew the Nomad's attention. On the way to check it out he grabs a pencil to use as a prod. Up close, he visually inspects it. He tries to look for any sign of curse or magical enchantment, but doesn't necessarily know how. He shrugs and flips the pencil onto the pile. It wasn't his and he had no way to make it safe. He leaves it and returns to lounging and watching the busters. He acts as a silent sentry, trying to confirm with himself that they are cooperative and not trying any tricks. That's all anyone seemed to have lately. tricks.
The Nomad does his best not to come off as threatening, yet he is ever alert. He posts up and watches the ridiculous antics of his teammates while using a letter opener to clean his nails of grime. He keeps an eye on whatever is being done to Shavaris. He still manages to keep tabs on the other occupants subconsciously. Taking note of the exits again and potential weapons laying around. How could he not after his ordeal. He was even wary of his teammates. The chaos of everything was overwhelming after being confined with the undead.
Overall, the Nomad ties to relax and get a little short rest in. Observing and staying alert, enough.
Spengler leans in close to Stantz as he starts looking Shavaris over, getting uncomfortably close to her with his goggles as he seems to peer directly into her soul. He reaches up, dialing through various settings of the goggles as he examines her.
"Yeah, looks like maybe there's a chance." Stantz says, pulling back and pushing up the goggles. "You're not completely there yet. I think you've probably got a few more days. We'll have to get into the books and see if there's a way to reverse the transformation. Maybe we can get the church involved or something."
Spengler looks over his glasses at Stantz.
While they examine Shavaris, Zeddemore and Venkman step out to the stairs, see the pile of money downstairs, and step down, walking cautiously past Ralik and pausing next to the pile of money. Obviously not used to surviving in a world where everything is boobytrapped, they start picking things up and examining it. Holding on to piles of diamonds, letting them fall through their fingers like sand. Venkman picks up paper and starts reading over it, his eyes getting wide as he reads page after page...
"Hey uh, guys. All of these papers have Strahd van Zarovich's name all over it. Barovia International. I bet this isn't a peace offering."
“A chance? A few.. a few more DAYS?!” She looks to Stantz and Spengler in shock, not exactly comprehending what they are saying, “A few more days until I what?” Her voice trails off a bit, almost scared of the question herself. “What do you see in those glasses?”
She overhears Venkman, then she looks over to Dag, Adam, Delph, Ralik and Johnathan, “Shouldn’t Ward be back by now? Where the hell did he go?”
"Maybe? It's hard to tell. It's supernatural. It's quite literally not a science. I see the slow death and decay of the cellular material as well as breakdown of the corpuscles in the capillaries and what seems to be the rapid increase in mitosis, an indicator of vampirism as well as a paradox since cellular death is so rapid."
"We can't lose sight of the Ivo Shandor connection." Spengler says to the rest of the Ghostbusters as Zeddemore and Venkman explore the sudden pile of riches and Stantz continues his conversation with Shavaris. "Did anyone tell any of you what the nature of this connection is? Maybe it's a lead."
Adam is standing in the back, watching the discussion, still not fully trusting these people. He feels like he is in the classroom again, getting called on and he doesn’t know the answer. His hand goes up and scratches his head, feeling the circlet of metal sitting on top of his head, and he tries to put it all together. He almost raises his hand, like being called on in class, then grows conscious of it and brings it back down to sit on top of his light saber hilt.
“Ummm. Ivo Shandor. Vigo… What the hell are we talking about here… wait a minute.” He taps his chin, clearly glad that he has his thinking cap on, literally. “I do recall those names… now what is the connection…”
Focused solely on what Stantz was saying, Shavaris is looking a bit alarmed, "Is there anyway to reverse it?"
Then to Zeddemore and Venkman she calls out, "Do items materialize out of no where happen a lot? Is this commonplace for you guys?" She is starting to think about Ward, how long he has been missing and one of his favorite items, the teleporting helmet.
After a few minutes travin comes stumbling back into the Ghostbuster's headquarters, still in the mechanical body of ward, he clutches at his chest and is obviously struggling with some kind of acute pain, the flapping of many wings can be heard outside settling onto the roof, "help! Help me, please... something is happening to my body, I was talking to the storyteller, and then started getting this pain, I think War- I think Ward is in trouble, I think my body is dying, and I think he's with Gavin... please!" He cramps up, and though he no longer breathes his chest heaves in faux breathlessness.
Delphinium instantly becomes deflated and dissapointed as no one seems to want to make a deal. He puts the world altering magical item away and sighs as they join thr rest investigating the newly arrived loot. Hearing it has Strahd's name on it the fairy immediately gets grumpy. "Either he really wants you to agree to an alliance or he's just being rude. For someone not scared of you all this seems a lot. Well, deals I guess can wait. What's all these green paper things again?"
The fairy seems disengaged a bit as they try to figure out what's going on. There is likely something else that will happen. Otherwise, perhaps they can get on with dealing with Vigo. Otherwise. Delph is ready for whatever. Fluttering around Shavaris a bit as the Ghostbusters examine her then checking out the pile of loot out of curiosity but not picking anything up. Just poking it around and moving it a bit as if inspecting it all.
Adam is standing there with a puzzled look on his face when Ward reenters, saying “Slow down, slow down. What the hell are you saying? Speak plainly, who’s with who and how are they dying?” He looks around to the others with an exasperated look on his face. “Do any of the rest of you know what the hell is going on here?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The Ghostbusters settle in, getting too complacent and starting to believe that these people were probably not going to kill them. They put the weird backpacks and equipment away, well, all but Spengler, who continues to poke, prod, and examine with various instruments he has at his disposal. He's not being invasive, but curious, and is definitely examining these strange newcomers.
Venkman, Zeddemore, and Janine spend their time fretting over the huge pile of money, diamonds, and documents, all of them coming to the consensus that this was definitely bad, but having no idea how the hell to get rid of it without invoking the wrath of Strahd von Zarovich.
Stantz continued to treat Shavaris and the Dawn Guard like his personal science experiment. The good news was, of course, that he had moved on to researching in the many, many old tomes he had squirreled away in the research office of their headquarters.
"Going to take some time to go through all of this." Stantz said, chain smoking as he started translating this and that. "This one is in Sumerian. This one is Babylonian. Got some Latin, Greek, and Egyptian in here...though if we're being honestly most of the Egyptian is converted to Greek so that helps. Thank God for Alexander, right? Oh, yeah, you don't know who that is... Alright, anyway. We're talking about all manner of ancient deities here. Osiris, Pazuzu, Gozer, gotta watch out for that one, all sorts of weird stuff. So, I've been researching on and off this whole vampire thing, trying to figure out how to cure it. I've even dug into the Pnakotic Manuscripts and the Necronomicon. I'm...not sure how to do it, yet. There's a lot of muddy water out there. Lot's of different folklore and alleged cures. It seems that a lot of cultures agree on one thing; killing the progenitor vampire often cures the quote unquote offspring. According to the lore, Vigo is the original, the first...but I'm not sure what that does for vampires that were created by offspring vampires and... Well it's just all very confusing."
In between all this, Venkman has started making breakfast when the door to the Ghostbusters office opens and someone walks in.
It's Turquoise.
The teenage girl is in a clear and obvious state of disrepair. He skin is sallow and bruised, showing signs of blood settling. Her eyes are gray and cloudy. Her gate is slow, shambling, almost as if she's drunk. She drags her feet.
There is a horrific wound on her neck. Part of the throat has been torn out, and the rest has been cut with the precision of a surgeons scalpel, both injuries severing the carotid artery. The bloody wound is dried over with all but the thickest of the blood flow now flaking as a scab. The rest of it has gelled.
There is a bloody box in her hands as she shambles toward the center of the room...
The fairy was seeming to get more and more agitated as Ward doesnt show up. We're they supposed to go so quickly to their aid? It didn't feel like much time passed. They begin to get antsy at the absence of their friend Ward. They wonder if they should say anything or just head out to find him but when they were about to go and find Ward they instead find the door opening.
Delphinium snaps to attention as Turquoise walks in injured and hurt. "Oh my. You don't look good." The fairy seeing her in such a state acts quickly. They have a bit of their mother's healing salve left and opens the container that houses the powerful magic medicine. They wanted to save it for an emergency but she doesnt look like she will stay alive for one more step if Delphinium doesnt hurry. So this likely qualifies.
They apply the magical ointment to heal Turquise's neck and wounds. Healing them for 13 and curing all diseases and poisons. They wanted to make sure they survived whatever act was done to them. Then they focus back on her to get answers as its clear she was sent with a message.
"If you have a message I am listening. I feel someone is about to make many enemies. Pray, tell us who did this?" The fairy flutters gently around them inspecting them for more wounds as the other arrive on the scene.
