Ruffian B uses his turn to attempt to awkwardly break the grapple with Regula (7 dex check for the Ruffian; 10 athletics check for Regula; Ruffian is still grappled).
Ruffian D, seeing his drinking buddy's face melt off, hobbles toward Jake (just south of Tubard so not triggering an attack of opportunity), swinging his blades in a wobbly fashion (12 to hit), barely landing a strike for 6 points of piercing damage on Jake. He steps back and strikes again (18 to hit, with disadvantage again), causing 3 points of additional piercing damage to Jake.
Top of the order!
Regula, still grappling Ruffian B, attempts to run his longsword through the Ruffians side (22 to hit with advantage), causing 14 points of damage as the Ruffian falls limp on top of him. "Ugh! I've had enough of this drunken fool". Regula pushes him off to his side and uses his movement to stand back up from his prone state. "Who's next?"
Bearkill is up with OldMan on deck. Ruffian A & D remain.
(Bearkiller moves into the room in front of OldMan and grabs a dagger and throws it at Ruffian D. The blade catches the side of his neck and blood starts rushing out. The ruffian is still in the fight but in bad shape)
OldMan seeing the ruffian D bleeding out decides to end it so everyone can move to attack Ruffian A. [Tooltip Not Found] d20 natural 20 +6 crit hit for 8 damage.
Oldman steps toward the Ruffian D and fires a bolt of flame directly into his face melting all the flesh away and lighting his hair on fire. The burning stench quickly fills the room. The Ruffian starts to scream but then the fire in his throat stops all oxygen from getting to his lungs. He crumples into a headless heap.
"Let's end this boys. 2 gold pieces to whoever brings me his ears."
Jake is staggered by Ruffian D's sword strikes. He steps back a few paces towards the door to the south and lets fly with a sacred flame toward Ruffian A. If it hits, it does 8 damage.
(Galben draws back another arrow and lets it fly through the air. It sticks in the the leg of Ruffian A, and he lets out a soft groan as his walk slows a step.)
(Attack Roll 8+7=15, hit. Damage Roll 7+3=10 piercing damage.)
"Two in a row OldMan! Permission is granted to be impressed, haha"
Tubard jumps off of the table, pulls out a javelin, and stabs the Ruffian in the head (11+5=16 to hit). He pierces into the head of Ruffian A (3+3=6 points of damage). Tubard exclaims "Wasn't going to miss this time!"
Jake stands near the door, panting and wincing in pain, blood slowly dripping through his armor. "Sometimes I let my passion show, but I really shouldn't get into physical conflict. I'm not built for this."
He looks around the room, and intently listens for any commotion outside the room like footsteps or yelling.
(Bearkiller grabs his dagger from the ground and walks over to one of the dead ruffians and takes off its studded leather armor and outs it on himself)
"That should help a big" (Tossing his leather armor to Galben) "Here you go scavenger you can sell this for me."
(Galben seeing all the ruffians dead collects his arrows and starts picking up the short swords in the room (4) and collecting the other sets of studded armor (3))
"Selling these will help you get your mace silvered Jake, when we head back into town...)
OldMan goes over to the most intact ruffian and cuts off both ears and pulls their boots off and cuts off both big toes. He then goes over to the door they just came through and peers down toward the nothic cavern using his dark vision and using his elven ears to check that no one or nothing is coming from that direction. Perception check natural 20+6=26.
(Once Galben collects the weapons and armor he takes them out of the tunnel and adds them to the pile outside. He returns to the room and checks the walls of the room for secret doors (Investigation roll 11+0=11)
OldMan does not hear or see anything following from the crevasse. Galben does not find any secret doors in this room. Tubard’s search of the north door out of the room reveals that it is a plain door with no magical properties. It is not locked.
Regula walks over to Jake. “It’s okay, friend - our passions get the best of all of us. You fought bravely.” And laying his hands on him, Jake receives 5 hp of healing. “There. That should help your wounds for now.”
OldMan looks to the group. "I assume we're moving forward? Same order? Remember that goblin mention many secret doors and a trap somewhere so everyone should probably be on the look out for things."
Droop said, there are many rooms in these dungeons below the manor, mostly occupied by the Redbrands. The Wizard's workshop and then Glasstaff's quarter's are just north of here, through the Common Room. You're likely to run into a few Redbrands in the common room, but if your ability to take care of these bugbears is any indication, I can't imagine they'll give you much trouble. There are many secret doors throughout the dungeon and a pit trap on the east side of the crypt, or was it in the Trapped Hall? Yes, yes, maybe the latter, so step lightly and keep an eye out. The slave pens are through the crypt, and there's sure to be a couple of guards in there."
"Same order is fine with me. Tubard how is your health (HP)?"
Tubard, looks a little rough with slashes from the Ruffians. He looks at the group, too proud to admit he is hurt “I feel great!” He winces slightly as blood drips from his wound (11/23 hp)
I think Tubbard should drink one of our healing potions.
OldMan takes one of the potions (assuming I was caring one since we never decided who for sure who had all of them) and hands it to Tubbard. "You are as strong as a bugbears stink but even mountains can crumple under pressure. Drink this. It will definitely help you make it through this adventure."
Tubard drinks the potion (2+1+2=5 points of healing) “I feel great!” Ignoring that he just said that before, Tubard looks at the group “Who is ready for round 4?”

Tubard grabs his javelin that is stuck in the door and inspects in for any traps and to see if it is locked (20!-1=19)
