The building is locked and does not look like anyone has been there for some time. The search appears to be a dead end.
Was there other business you all had in Neverwinter or did you want to press on? Reidoth gave the location of Cragmaw Castle (he drew you a map when we met IRL). You also have directions to Wyvern Tor, which is an orc camp on the Triboar Trail. And, you have directions to Old Owl Well and Agatha’s Lair.
Jake's ears perk up. "Orcs? I hate orcs. Almost as much as goblins. Let's clear out the orcs while we gather intelligence to free the Rockseeker brothers."
OldMan wonders if his weasel familiar would be able to find a way into the Rockseekers establishment. According to the spell description I think OldMan can have it appear within the building? If this truly is a dead end then OldMan welcomes the chance to kill orcs and gather some more body parts.
While in town he gathers/shops for his necessary ingredients and also transfers the Fireball scroll into his spellbook.
"I second what OldMan says. I would like for the weasel and my duck, Ferdinand to scout this out a little more (Roll at advantage?). If this turns out to be nothing I think Orcs are back on the menu boys!"
OldMan's weasel and Tubard's duck pop into existence inside the Rockseeker's house. They find a variety of mining gear (pickaxes, helmets, etc.), some loose parchment (nothing of note), and no explosives to be found. Everything is coated in a fine layer of dust, giving the impression that no one has been here in weeks, perhaps months.
The party regathers and ultimately departs back toward the south, heading toward Wyvern Tor. I also forgot to remind you all that you received directions from Reidoth the Druid to Cragmaw Castle, which is where you suspect Gundren Rockseeker is being held.
The multi-day trip passes largely without issue, minor cuts and scrapes as would be expected from such a journey and an occasional bump in the night that doesn't ultimately lead to anything more interesting. The party follows the Triboar Trail back to the east, passing the turn off to Phandalin and continuing on to Conyberry.
The town of Conyberry was sacked by barbarians years ago and the ruins now lay before you.
As you approach the former town, you can see the crag of Wyvern Tor, a prominent landmark in the rugged hills northeast of the Sword Mountains. OldMan regales the party with historical tomes as you journey. The tor was formerly the home of a large and dangerous nest of wyverns, but a band of bold adventurers dealt with the monsters years ago. Though the wyverns never returned, but other creatures have been known to lair here from time to time. Based on the word you heard in Phandalin, you understand Orcs have taken up camp.
Wyvern Tor is a sizable hill, with miles of rugged terrain on its flanks and slopes. Finding the camp is no small feat. As day turns to dusk, you finally uncover the signs of foot traffic and follow it. The faint smell of smoke hangs on the air as you ascend a rugged ridge on the lower slopes of the hill. Fifty yards away, a cave mouth opens up at the bottom of a ravine. Hunkered down by a boulder twenty yards outside the cave, keeping watch, is a single orc.
Jake clasps Galben's shoulder, casting guidance. "I think you should scout the position ahead, using your keen eye and silent feet. Report back on how many you find."
"We also could try talking to him. Just a thought. Maybe he is a simple minded idiot that could divulge too much info if tricked. I also have the charm spell I used on the Redbrand in the town." "I like a good scrap as much as the rest but maybe we could save the bloodshed until we know what we are up against. We have other options." "I also have the weasel that we could use to check on things"
Galben moves effortlessly through the bushes and underbrush. There does not appear to be any other orcs near him, and using your darkvision to peer inside the mouth of the cave, you do not see any sentries lurking about.
OldMan looks to Jake and says. "I need to get a bit closer to this beast for my spell to have a chance. Is the guidance your god provides allowed to be given again before I try to join Galben?"
Jake takes OldMan's hand. "Ilmater's presence is all around us. His favor never wanes. Take his guidance as you need it." Jake casts guidance on OldMan.

(Galben yells out)
"Is anyone here?"
Tubard looks at Ferdinand (His duck) and uses Spirit Seeker to instruct him to waddle around the dwelling inconspicuously to see if he finds anything.

What would folks like to do?
Might as well get after those orcs, eh?

"Let's find us some Orcs!" (Galben says with a smile)

(Galben looks at the group)
"I don't think there is anything here. Let's go Orc hunting."
"Gu-rah!"
(Galben looks to the group)
"Should we try to stealth up and kill the look out or should we devise another plan?"
"Without knowing how many are inside, it appears trying to eliminate the watch quietly would be a smart option."

"I'm going to have a look."
(Galben moves up the left side the rocks to try and see in the cave with his bow draw, arrow nocked)

“I think we give OldMan a chance to charm this Orc. I’ll take any breaks from his rants when I get a chance.”
