Escarin draws the carven wooden rod from the sheath at his belt, looking at the wyvern he points at it, muttering a series of arcane phrases the rod glows up and down the carved emblems. A swirl of light coalesces into a glyph of many colours spinning in front of the beasts head.

For a second it resists then it's large head starts swaying in a pattern. It is oblivious to you all.

Seeing that the wyvern is momentary dazd by Escarin, Shan calls for her own magic, and pronounced the words of a spell:

She opnes her eyes hoping that the wyvern wasn’t strong enough. 

The spell lashes out toward the wyvern and takes hold of it. 11 

 It screams.in rage as it shrinks to half its size.

Then jumps forward with uncanny speed and whips it's tail at Xorn who is in front. Attack: 15 Damage: 6. Xorn needs to make a Can check DC 15. 

It then bites down on Escarin Attack: 23 Damage: 8

OOC. magic missile doesn't miss. Not sure about added sneak damage on spells although this one would certainly fit if it's possible. 

[ooc]No sneak attack with spells per players handbook unless you house rule it. It can get to be pretty powerful later in levels if abused.

Tyrros moves to circle the wyvern and keeps clear of the lashing tail in a flanking maneuver.

The wyvern whirls around looking for the nearest prey. It is taken aback and keeps shaking it's head. For it you have all become larger.

Easily blocking the creatures tail strike with his shield, Xorn swings his axe at the base of the creates tail hoping to find a sensitive are for his blade.

[ooc]Using his menacing maneuver  will require a DC 15 WIS save from the wyvern or it is frightened of Xorn until the end of Xorn’s next turn 

Xorn bellows with satisfaction as his axe finds the mark. He then quickly pulls the blade back and arcs it in for another strike.
