Vilus heaves the RockCrab onto the tunnel floor in front of him with a grunt, leaving it flailing on its back, he then moves to join the group, "fall back to the pit, if we can position ourselves I reckon we can either coax or shove 'em in! they don't have eyes and I can't tell about ears so they must be attracted to vibrations!" his look is concerned seeing the clawed strikes that both Joren and Marion have taken.
With that said, he throws another eldritch ball of flaming purple energy at the upturned carb and backs up as far as his movement will allow into the previous tunnel section.

Malachi focuses on one of the stone crabs wounded by Marion's frost and, with a low whisper, sends a jolt of psychic energy into its mind. He then backs away down the branching tunnel following Vilus and wondering exactly what this plan of his entails.
(INT Save 14 or 6 psychic damage and subtract 3 from its next saving throw before the end of Malachi's next turn)
Gritting his teeth and moving a bit slower than normal, Joren re-summons his echo as a bonus action, to stand on the front lines with himself and Marion. Unfortunately, that leaves him no ability to switch places with it or he would have summoned it 30' behind himself. He thinks about taking the dodge action, but he hears Silas making a suggestion. Joren is not fully sold about the plan to maneuver the rock-crabs into the pit, but in the interest of working as a team, goes along with it - he disengages and moves back 30', still in front of the others, encouraging Marion to do the same. He leaves his echo in place to take an opportunity attack if the rock-crabs move past.

Marion puts up her shield and backs away from the approaching crabs, being careful not to give them another opportunity to attack. Samir's bolt whistles past her and ricochets off a hard shell, lodging itself in the stone ceiling. With everyone hurrying down the passage, 4 of the crabs swarm around Joren's echo, mandibles gnashing in anticipation of a fresh meal.

The echo is quickly dashed to pieces, and they continue their forward march along with the other 3 crabs (who take the dash action).
Ashley continues to back up with the rest of the group, staying behind Joren and Marion. She tries another tactic and raises her arms high in the air casting sacred flame letting the radiant light fire down upon the shell of the closest one.
As Vilus Dashes back to the intersection he pulls a length of rope from his pack.
"we need to tieoff something that will make a lot of noise and vibrations, enough to attract and disorientate them, any ideas Samir?, failing that someone will do, preferably someone light"
He uses his second action to Help tie whatever is chosen to the end of the rope, tight!.
"We throw the noise maker over the edge, or person onto the ledge, then hold it there with the rope, whilst we hide on this side maybe 40ft away from the hole" he points to the south tunnel where they arrived from, "we'll have to be quiet and still, if they don't take the bait and fall off the edge, then we're gonna be well positioned to fight, they'll be flanked between us and the hole, sound good?"
Vilus seems comfortable in a planning and tactical position as he lays out his plan, he keeps one eye on the approaching crabs, as much as he can in this limited light situation, he also sees the grain of doubt in Joren's face but chooses to ignore it keeping the task at hand in the forefront of his mind instead.
"I think I have something that can help with that." Spurred by the mental challenge placed before him, Samir digs into his satchel and removes one of his small cubes, along with a few other small pieces and begins fiddling with them as they move. "If I alter the device I used before to make the high pitched screaming sound with the wolves, I can cause it to maybe create a lower sound, but one that should cause it to vibrate rythmically from the intensity of the sound - because sound is movement, after all - and perhaps clatter against the wall of the pit as it hangs there. If these creatures truly do work off of some kind of sound or vibration based sense, it could - perhaps- fool them."
Samir is attempting to use Magical Tinkering to create a rythmic sound effect, almost like a heavy bass thumper that will attract the creatures' attention, and attach it to the rope to hang down the pit.
(Samir, make a tinkers tools check, and if you use both rounds of running to make the device then after your first roll you can either choose to roll again, [taking the better of the 2 rolls] or just add +5 to your roll)

Joren feels the venom tightening his muscles and growls to himself. It's not that he thinks the plan with the pit won't work so much as it seems an unnecessary complication to a simple person such as himself. Smacks of showing off when all that is necessary is a minute or less of falling back and attacking from range (or echo) with the rock crabs unable to catch up. Joren is under no illusion that he himself is some great tactician. He knows simple tactics such as choke points and kiting, but...
I am remembering well... the commanders who were the most convinced of the keenness of their own tactical minds and the greatness of their ideas were rarely the same ones that actually were having great tactics or ideas. Some things are staying the same, east on the Dalmodh Plains or apparently far to the west out here in Cambria.
A mote of annoyance settles in Joren's heart as he recalls well that Bernard Kryn, the one who had fancied himself a savant and Joren's better in every way... and had led the charge to falsely accuse and exile Joren after challenging Joren to a duel... Bernard had been just such a person. Convinced of their own brilliance and acumen and superiority. With every success confirming their belief and failure or mixed results never refuting it.
Still, two shouting conflicting orders is far worse than one speaking clearly. And Silas is meaning well, unlike Bernard. The plan should probably work.
Joren shrugs and says nothing. On his turns, he falls back 30' and re-summons his echo each time, forcing the rock crabs to attack it or incur an opportunistic attack from the echo's position. And from the echo's position, he again tries to use his greatsword to overturn a rock crab, hoping it makes it easier for his allies' spell attacks to find their mark.
With the mass of crab bodies pushing together as they pursue, flipping one over while on the run proves difficult, though Ashley picks off the most wounded crab with a whirl of radiant fire. Moments later, the adventurers come out in front of the pit. Vilus, having run ahead, holds a readied rope out to Samir, who has his freshly improvised device in hand.
(Back to combat as usual. The 6 crabs are 30 feet away)

Ashley send the flames again, focusing on another that appears to be somewhat damaged...
DEX save of 12 or 6 radiant damage
As they creep ever closer to the hole in the passage, she gets a bit worried about the plan. While Samir puts together a contraption to send sound waves while hanging from a rope, she is truly impressed, "I hope that works! These are an interesting foe, that's for sure!"
While they start preparing for the creatures to head their way, Ashley sends out another sacred flame hoping to decrease their numbers
DEX save of 12 or 2 radiant damage
