(Proserpina would use her [feat]gift of the metallic dragon[/feat] as a reaction to add +2 to her AC vs the attack that hit her).
As the manticore attacks, Proserpina sprouts a pair of ethereal, draconic silver wings that interfere with the beast's attack, it's teeth are blocked by the glowing wings, but her distraction allows an opening for the manticore's claws to land a blow.
She strikes with her maul, cursing the beast in draconic.
Okay, Dargrimm and Rohani, push the creature to it's limits, the hammer probably breaking a leg, and the axe ripping a gash in it's side. Everyone else missed and the creature saved against laughter.
In a gravelly but whiny voice the creature pleads, "Let me go, please... I have a wife at home, we're starving after being driven out of the mountains... I'll promise to leave the civilized areas alone and hunt in the woods."
[[OOC: I don't use flanking in my games. It's an optional rule that makes advantage too easy to get.]]

The creature's plea gave Rohani pause. She thought to give in to sympathy, before reminding herself to be cautious as such beasts were often devious. She regards the manticore carefully, trying to determine whether it is lying.
(( Rohani would like to insight the manticore if possible, trying to determine if that is a promise he intends to keep. And I never knew flanking was an optional rule, good to know! ))
"Why didn't you choose to hunt in the woods before? If my child was starving, I would go for the food that would keep my family away from human interference. Why should we believe you? You could have tried to ask for assistance, but instead you called us meat and attacked a defenseless woman. I suggest you give my friends a better explanation."
Hearing the manticore's pleas, Mathark takes pause for a moment. Watching the other stop to talk to the manticore, Mathark half draws his bow back ready to attack should the manticore make a hostile action towards the group.
(Held attack, preemptively rolling incase its needed)
The manticore seems completely sketchy and just trying to save its own skin.
"Please... it's just we're drawn to manflesh... I take no joy in killing... I don't savor the screams of my prey..."
Looking at your disbelieving faces, it slinks back, giving its best snively cowardly look, then leaps in the air and begins flying full speed to the southeast.
[[OOC: Talking and insight rolls were all free actions on the manticore's turn. it disengages as its action, so it takes to the air without opportunity attacks and makes it about 50' away. I'm ignoring the held action from Mathark since it was declared before Mathark's turn, however is you choose to attack it you can keep the roll (hint it is a hit.)]]
Party is up.

Unfortunately, Wynn's arrow skims off the beast's thick hide. The white feathered arrow sprouting from the manticore's flank shows Mathark's aim was true.
[[OOC: I'm assuming Mathark looses the arrow.]]
It's about 50 feet away. Poco, Rohani, Prosperina, and Dargrimm are all up.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dargrimm releases his grip on his warhammer to the ground, closes towards the manticore and casts Toll the Dead. You are a fool if you think we’ll ever trust you!
11 if Manticore fails wisdom saving throw 13.

Sorry I didn't know about the forum dice roller. This is my first time playing. I just found it and will use it from now on. THX
Rohani charges in after Prosperina and Dargrimm with a shout, hoping to be able to flank the creature and she strikes again with her greataxe.
Attack: 18 Damage: 10
Additional attack roll if successful at flanking for advantage: Attack: 13
I'm also struggling a bit with the dice roller. I think I rolled that damage dice incorrectly and just input the value 6, trying again:
