Temple of Ishassara

As you look around the room, the flicker of the torch spreads shadow around the rooms various imperfections and cracks. You swear you see one of the dancing shadows flicker in a corner and briefly take the form of a humanoid figure. You spot another just down the wall from where you saw the last one. Liam, roll an Arcana check to see if you recall what this could be.

Arcana: 12

 Liam's Arcana check:

"Hey Gregor, go run up to it and say hello, since you have no concern for stealth, safety, or proper grammar." Crispy whispers, kinda loudly.

She remains on guard, swords drawn, behind the two meat heads. One she likes, one could barely tie his shoe. 

Eye For Detail: 19 to try and spot the creature.

They appear to be hugging the sides of the walls, they seem to be waiting, however their movements are getting more frantic and unpredictable.

Gregor wanders up to the dancing shadows on the wall and says “Hello shadow friends, this be Gregor speaking. We just be passing, trying to explore temple. If you happens to be evil or need a body Gregor be imploring you to attack female friend Crispy first, lots of room in heart and head for you.”

"Make sure you bring a dictionary!" She yells back. "He doesn't know the meaning to half the words he just said!"

As you enter the room Gregor, you approach one shadow in particuler. As you begin talking to it, you notice more and more appear out of the corner of your eye. You look back at the shadow you were initially talking to- and a black swirl begins to surround you!

Crispy mumbles to herself. It's so tiring being right all the time. "Guess i'm gonna have to save your ass again.."

"SEE?! You distracted me!"

Crispy turns to Nia: "Let me know if I have to duck, or something. I kinda like my hair. And eyebrows. And backside. And not being on fire." 

Chubby's initiative: 12

Chubby let's out an extremely loud belch, which reverberates into the room and down the various hallways.

"Take THAT, you shadows!"

Just waiting on Nia and Liam's initiative

Nia smirked. "Will do."

Initiative: 6

Crispy fixes her hair after the shock wave of Chubby's burp, still facing Nia. It's not like they were acting anytime soon. "So. How's it goin'? You're so young, you must have a story to tell."

Liam's Initiative: 16

Shadow6 is currently attempting to smother Gregor: To hit: 24 Hit: 8 necrotic damage. Your strength score (not mod) is lowered by 3

Shadow 4 is going for Liam: To Hit: 14 Hit: 8 necrotic damage. Your strength score (not mod) is lowered by 1

 As the shadows lunge towards you, the darkness wraps around you- it feels fuffocating and draining at the same time.

Liam is up.

Edit: Added damage afterwards to see if it hit. For some reason, Liam, it was 21 to hit you before =S

Initiative is:
s6-21, s4- 19, Liam- 16, s1- 14, Gregor- 14, s3- 14, Chubby- 12, Crispy- 9, s5- 7, Nia- 6, s2- 5

As the shadow reaches out and begins to sap Liam's strength, he swiftly moves into action by entering the room and, upon seeing the room's layout and the number of shadows present, circling around S4 (never leaving its reach) to get his back in the corner so he can't be attacked from all sides.  He then channels arcane energy into a Lv2 Magic Missile, directing all four bolts at S4.

That'll be 14 force damage.
