Elandra surveys the battlefield and the whirling waters held away from them by magical means, "Perhaps this is the safest place to take a breather if needed. We don't know what we'll find on the shore, and at least here we are probably safe from random encounters. Unless a belligerent fish wishes to go kamikaze to attack us anyway. If Liri's magic holds then even should this dome collapse we should be alright... Though my hat was just about dried out."
Jade breathes a sigh of relief as Elandra casts her healing spell. "Thank you, m'lady. I feel much better. I am good to either move towards shore or take a breather, whatever the rest wants to do." She awaits the decision as she gazes into the water, still taken aback by the situation they find themselves in.
To keep things moving, I'm going to say you all take a short rest here. Roll any hit die you want in the OOC thread
After you all rest for a bit, you begin to see storms clouds forming in the sky once again. Talos is clearly not happy about the defeat of his acolytes. Luckilly, they seem to be quite far away this time instead of right over your head, dotting the horizon more than posing an immediate threat
Jade, feeling much better after their short rest, walks up to join Soloth in leading them towards shore. "Any idea what we might meet up there? I sure hope we can avoid this storm gathering."
You all begin to walk along the sea floor, the waves moving with you as you travel. The storm ahead of you all only becomes more and more violent as you move, but it still seems quite a ways off. As you get closer to shore, the southernmost peaks of the Sword Mountains begin to come into focus off in the distance, shrouded by the raging storm of Talos's anger.
@Liri
As you walk, you begin to hear the whispers of your god Mielikki in your head, though her words are faint and imperceptable. Make a Nature check
@Jade
As you draw closer to whatever portal to the Plane of Water Ebondeath mentioned, a feeling of imbalance washes over you and something begins to feel deeply, deeply off. It feels almost similar to the feeling of sensing evil with your divine sense, but this doesn't feel like it's coming to you from your god at all. Make an Insight check
@Soloth
Even with Ebondeath mostly silent inside your head as he focuses on keeping up whatever magic he is using to repell the water, you still feel his consciousness swirling around with yours as you adjust to not being the only one in your body. You haven't really had the time to process what just happened to you, as the turnaround between your possession and the cultits arriving was quite swift. How is Soloth feeling in this moment?
@Lux
As you continue to move, you feel a constant wave of some sort of energy eminating from Soloth, and a feeling deep within your brain you can't quite place. It doesn't quite feel like iti s your own, but rather Lathander's being felt through you. Make a Religion check
@Koric and Elandra
Even though it's been quite an eventful day already between leaving Axeholm, the encounter with Ebondeath, and the attack from the cultists, it doesn't seem to be quite over as Soloth leads the group towards what is likely to be another deadly challenge. What is on your minds as you journey back towards the shore?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The feeling of foreboding is not something Jade is welcoming right now. She worries that this will be the norm as she continues with this group, trying to do their Gods work.
You focus in on the feeling, and get the sense that Lathander is concerned, if not outright displeased. Why exactly is unclear to you though, and you can't think of anything relevent from his teachings or what you know about your god historically that gives you any hint as to why
@Jade
You look inside yourself, trying to pinpoint what exactly it you are feeling, and begins to make more sense to you. This isn't a result of your connection with a god, but rather the elemental power flowing in your bloodline. You can feel the imbalance of the region increase as you draw nearer to where the portal apparently is, the direct connection to the Plane of Water weaking the power of the other elements. In fact, honing in on it a bit more, you feel yourself being very lightly repelled, as if the very presnce of an open portal to the plane of water is repelling the presence of earth it senses in you.
Koric trudges along behind. He is clearly pleased to have Balthar back, taking solace in the familiar's presence -- one of the few connections to his old life. Fear lurks ever-present behind his eyes as he looks down at his disheveled state and worn clothes. This was not the world he planned for, but Mystra had called upon him to serve and he could not refuse. As they move on to the next danger he hopes that he will not disappoint his goddess.
Feeling the start of a pressure to push her back, she worries if anything else will happen as they continue the push towards the water portal. "Are we getting close??"
You hone in on your godess's voice, the rush of the water around you as the party moves fading off into the distance for a moment. You can't quite make out everything she says, but the parts you do understand from her idicate she's hurting and quite angry, specifically about the destruction caused by these two portals. The only full phrse you pick up is about "the woods laid flat by constant gusts of wind"
@Jade
As you voice that question to the group, you feel the feeling of imbalance increase, giving you an answer before any of your companions can vocalize one. Make another insight check
@Soloth
As the group nears the shore, all you see in front of you is the last few peaks of the massive Sword Mountains, and no clear signs of this portal anywhere. Give me a survival check.

After resting, Koric spends a little time re-sumoning Balthar and placating the poor creature. He then follows behind the others as they move off.
