Yoy stare into the fountain and are met with only endless water going down into a dark abyss. If there’s a bottom to this fountain, you certainly can’t see it
When it seems that the others do not get attacked Koric approaches cautiously, reaching out to dip a finger in it before once more tightening the straps on his pack.
When he is done he takes a step back from the water and looks at Liri expectantly.
((OoC - a reminder that Jade has a D8 Bardic inspiration die for about 9 more minutes, which can be used on ability checks))
"Well, if the wizard is braving it, I guess I can too."Somewhat recklessly, she jumps down into the water, and makes her way over to Jade, "I have a suspicion that if there were any danger left on this side, that one of our gods would have at least hinted at it."Turning to Effigy, the waist-deep in water minstrel flicks a copper coin towards their newest associate. "I don't suppose you can make that give out any light, so we can see how far down this hole it goes?"
Effigy stands perfectly still as the coin pings against his helmet and tumbles to the ground. It did not even seem to occur to him that she intended he catch it; the body language and social cues simply didn't register. At her suggestion, however, he picks the copper up and whispers something under his breath, and it ignites in his palm, casting a glow like white-hot metal.
"Lord, illuminate our path," he says, and tosses the coin into the depths. "Let our foes be unveiled, that we may crush them."
You stare into the fountain as the coin descends into it, its light glowing from deep within the water. It sinks for a lot longer that seems possible for a fountain of this size, clearly for far longer than it would have sunk being thrown into a river, and then vanishes in a moment, though it had not yet gotten deep enough for the light to fade. You wait for any noise of something hitting the bottom, but you hear nothing
"Well, at least we know how far we have to fall on this side... I guess we have to hope that the drop isn't too far on the other. Any volunteer to go first?" She looks around, waiting to see if anyone steps forwards, before following swiftly after them.
You plunge into the fountain, and the water surrounding you as plunge into the depths of the fountain. After a short fall, your vision instantly blacks out and you emerge from another fountain. Strangely enough, you are standing in it, your direction having been reversed
Looking around the room, the walls are made of some sort of teal-colored stone, and the wall right in front of you is replaced with what looks like a massive glass tank filled with water. The floor is filled with a few frozen puddles, and a chill breeze flows through, though you can’t quite make out where it is originating from. The fountain you are standing in is in the middle of the room. On the right, there’s a door leading to a room where you can just make out a few bookshelves, and on your left are some stairs leading upwards
The moment you enter, you feel something wash over you, a fundamental wrongness chilling you to your core. Your very being feels as if something harsh is tugging on it, and you get the sense that if you were a full elemental, it would tear you apart. There is a fundamental part of yourself that is simply not supposed to be here. In this moment, as you feel this profound discomfort overwhelm you, you know you’ve made it to your destination. This is the Plane of Water. Make a constitution saving throw
@Everyone else
You see Jade enter the fountain and rapidly disappear from view entirely. The fountain burbles violently and then quickly calms down
Koric's fear only grows as he contemplates the future. Rather than stare fearfully at the water for eternity, he instructs Balthar to wait then checks the straps on his pack one more time before diving in and trying to hurry through whatever portal awaits them. If he finds dry land he summons Balthar to him, gently smoothing his feathers, then looks around asking Balthar to do the same.
You fall through the fountain before blinking out of reality and appearing next to Jade, standing in the fountain. Just as Jade does, you see the glass tank on the other side of the room, the two pathways on the sides of the room, and feel the chill breeze coming from seeminly nowhere that is flowing through the room
Elandra looks to each of the others as Jade, and then Koric pass through the portal. She nods to each and then follows her vanished companions.
As each of the group appear in turn and take in the surroundings Elandra is humming and whistling the tune of a pirate shanty as she looks around the room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(So Jade has to do a CON save because she is and Earth Genasi and these elemental planes affect her more than others? dang, I sure picked the right race! lol)
CON save 9
She shudders as she reaches this new plane and looks around, unsure of where to head next. As Koric arrives at her side, she smiles at him, "Good to see you, strange ride wasn't it?"
You steel yourself for a moment, and the feeling fades. This is where your god wants you to be, and you are more than capable of facing whatever challenges this place throws at you
Seeing Jade and the others disappear into the portal, Liri takes a deep breath and plunges through after them. On reaching the other side, she looks around herself curiously.
"I... didn't expect us to come through onto dry land," she murmurs softly to the others.
(To speed things up here, I'm going to say you all pass through the portal and into the room. Feel free to RP how that happened still, just want to avoid us having to wait for each person to enter)
@All
You look around the room and see exactly what Jade noticed upon first entering (Going to repost it here)

Spying the bookshelves, Koric's eyes widen slightly and he takes an involuntary step in their direction before halting. Instead he turns to the others, "Books often hold answers," he says, pointing in the direction of the room.
As everyone seems to stand around in complete indecision, Koric crouches down and closes his eyes, linking senses with Balthar. He then asks Balthar to quickly fly to the room with all the books, look around, and then return.
You have Balthar fly into the next room, and see that the walls are lined with bookshelves, though the shelves themselves are not particularly full, each of them only having a few books laying on them kinda haphazardly. As Balthar flies around, you immediately notice a few things. First of all, there's another cabinet in this room that appears to be filled with scrolls, though you'd have to sift through them by hand to get a better idea of what they are. In addition, you notice that the far wall of the room is covered in faint runes, though the language they are written in is not one you recognize.
The far wall (the one covered in runes) has a door on it that appears to be locked from the other side, and the left wall of the room has a large opening leading to some stairs leading down
Koric stand as Balthar returns. His eyes open quickly as the bird settles on his shoulder. "We must investigate that room; books, scrolls, a door...and perhaps stairs down."
He takes a few steps forward then looks back at the others, hoping that someone more familiar with physical perils (and at dealing with them), might lead...
While he waits, he asks Balthar to circle the room in which they arrived, looking for anything of interest.

(Sorry forgot the bardic die!) here is it is if still works: 3
"I'll go first, let's get this figure out." and Jade follows the direction of the coin.
