Tests and Trials Game Thread

Jaq awakes looking up at the snow falling on his face and Ernos wakes up face in a snow drift.

After shaking his head from what felt like a nail driven into the side of his head and seeing Jaq and Ernos suddenly falling (and Eula going *poof*) it became clear that the best way to protect noble Kroshav is to put down whatever this is fast.  Suddenly feeling a surge of strength from the estimable Paladin Cladmir dropped his mace and shield to pull out his bow and arrow and let fly a single arrow while cursing the flying fiend.

Attack: 26 Damage: 7

(( Just checked rules and looks like dropping shield is not the same as dropping weapon so will have to alter action a bit. ))

Cladmir really wants to done his bow and arrow and shoot at the floating thing but being rather ignorant of this new enemy he did not want to risk dropping his mace and shield just for it to swoop down.  Since throwing the mace doesn’t sound like a good option he’s just going to have to ready up and continue to shield Kroshav and wait to swing it the thing gets close.

((If it's the skeletal weapon, it's a warhammer, not a mace! Larger damage die!))

(( oh right I checked and I do have a magical warhammer!  Too bad can’t just throw it and have it fly back to me. :)  ))

Cladmir readies himself while Mikram takes a shot.

The banshee's face peels away revealing something that is far worse than muscle and bone.

Kroshav bellows a roar back at the creature. "The Five stand against you!"

Any who don't recall that 'The Five' refers to the group of gods he worships may be a bit confused,  while there are five of them (plus a golem), only he and Cladmir are on their feet, and Mikram has none.

((She'd laugh derisively if she knew Kroshav's thoughts and wasn't so self-centered to care!))

Mikram despite having hit the banshee twice now, yells in fear,

"What is it? Gods, what is it?"

The crossbow quivers in his hands.

The golem looks up at it impassively and comments,

"We will push out shortly."

((If you pass the wisdom save go ahead and take your turn as normal, if you fail just roll with disadvantage on checks and attacks while you can see her. Once you've taken your turn you get another chance to save.))

Pushing himself upright, Ernos glares up at the ghostly visage and raises his ringed hand, one finger extended.  A brief utterance is followed by a pair of beams fired from the extended finger toward the undead.

If either hit, extra +3 damage as fire damage.

Kroshav hurls another pair of javelins banshee-ward.
