Kroshav bellows with glee as one of the ghouls slashes at Cladmir, taking opportunity of its innattention to slash at it in turn, before raining blows down on the ghast.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cladmir felt the burn and felt the type of fear that he felt only a few times in his life. Unlike when he was tortured in the dark or the unexpected flight/drop from the gryffon, the feeling of death now rushed at him like an inevitable tide. But Cladmir also felt something else -- seeing the Dragonborn lashing out like a blazing tornado filled him with flame of zeal, the burning in his blood, while agonizing, driving him to call out to whatever power that may be looking over him as he lashed out with all the strength he has.
Kroshav cuts a ghoul down before turning on the last one to cleave a deep wound in its side. Cladmir finishes it with a bow that leaves it writhing as acid eats through it. The human spins and charges up to slam through the ghost over the downed Duergar. It skrieks as it fades away.
The ghosts look at the remaining pair. One ghost, barely visible in the falling snow, leaves Jaq and reaches for Cladmir. The hovering ghost descends on Kroshav clawing desperately.
Neither ghost manages to reach their target, both twist away in time having seen the threat.
A loud explosion lights the stairs and warm air rushes over Kroshav. A moment later a figure wrapped in smoking wraps ascends the stairs. The figure spots Kroshav immediately and demands in a familiar voice,
"Kroshav! Where is Lurn?"
He sounds exasperated more than anything.
Something large, wrapped in darkness floats up behind the question asker.
((Presuming the first one hits, Kroshav bellows in laughter as he unleashes a burst of radiant, holy light (12, plus 4 if he's undead), and thrusts wildly in the afterglow of the burst, missing with his second swing.))

((Damnit, I see now that I should have, I think I got so confused by it working against undead that I forgot seeing that in the initial spoiler. In my phone, so not sure if I included that on any of the early ones or not. May have left 7d10 damage on the board... 🙄))

Kroshav spins away from the ghost to face a bigger, better threat. Sword's triumphant laughter ringing through his mind as he strikes out at Gethren, though strangely Sword never reaches her target. She instead hits the broiling mass of shadow accompanying the dead(ish?) man.
Despite the change in target damage is still done, the wave of light from the blow washes harmlessly over the euphoric dragonborn but seems to sear away the ghost standing behind him.
The shadow withdraws from Gethren with a mixture of hissing whispers.
Gethren shrugs and says,
"Well I guess I can just ask your corpse."

(( I'm assuming that the badly ghost was the one that got blasted away, which means there is still one other ghost left somewhere? If so Cladmir's goal would be to cover Kroshav's back by dealing with it first. ))
Still feeling the surge from fight-or-flight rush (and the excitement of standing and fighting for once), Cladmir saw the new comer and could not help but seeing a scene from a play where the heroic knight is about to face down the main villain in an epic duel. Strangely moved by this vision the old soldier went after the remainhost, trying the make sure that nothing interferes with the clash between light and darkness where surely light would triumph.
(( Moving as far as possible to engage remain ghost. ))

(( Cladmir is also in a self & injury + zeal induced rage at this point so let's just say he shifted to the ghost by Mikram. ))
