Kroshav and Ealu, both intent on the hunt, focus mostly on the tracks with only a glance around from time to time. After around a quarter hour Kroshav still hasn't seen whatever made the tracks, which are still visible in the snow.
((Intelligence check from Kroshav please!))
Cladmir and Ernos loose sight of their dragonborn companion after he goes into the forest proper but have not trouble following him.
((Perception check from Cladmir and Ernos please!))
Kroshav keeps going for another few minutes, not at a dangerous pace but certainly enough to catch a goblin. Keeping his eye on the trail he hears Ealu ask,
<Are goblin's fast? It must be a fast one!>
After another minute something clicks in Kroshav's head - goblins aren't that fast. They should have caught up by now. Slowing and then stopping to look at the tracks, Kroshav (with that 21) sees these have some snow blown over them. They definitely look older than the first ones he looked at, probably a couple hours older.
----
Cladmir and Ernos trudge forward along the Ealu made trail, well behind both horse and rider.
Cladmir, finding being out has cleared his mind, is keeping a good eye on the surroundings. A rustle of movement to his left catches his eye. At first he doesn't see anything but then a small white drift under a tree seems to shift in a very unlike a snow drift way.
----
Thir drops prone at the word 'dragon' and drags herself under the cover of a fallen tree and nearly blends in with bark. Jaq slides into the shadow of a boulder.
Watching the small glinting shape in the distance confirms it is indeed the dragon. She isn't close though, but if Thir was correct she is about over the area of Archives. Which may be a problem.
As Jaq watches he sees a half dozen smaller (than dragon) flying shapes come over the mountains towards the dragon. The dragon notices about the same time and veers to the south and down into the tree cover.
As he watches Jaq wonders what 'Mine' meant but is too distracted at the moment to make heads or tails of the declaration (Dice rolls not yet available for this section.)
Noticing the weird movement, and with Kroshav not around, Clamir's old survival instinct kicked in. Without making sound Cladmir slowed down and waved his hand trying to get Ernos, pointing toward the weird movement.
Ernos glances at Cladmir, then nods. "Be quick about it if you need to relieve yourself, I'll keep guard from here."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cladmir gave Ernos narrowed his eyes at Ernos. Still not trusting the new guy 100% (totally forgetting that he is also one the "new guys"), Cladmir weighed the option of whether this whole thing could be the machination of the tiefling and decided to go investigate what he saw alone.
Now Cladmir is going to attempt a stealth, getting low and slowly move toward the spot he saw something suspicious, using all the skills and experiences he had.
Ernos stands where he is, keeping an eye on their surroundings. While he tries not to look too on-edge, he does keep his guard up, ready to launch an Eldritch Blast at anything that threatens Cladmir.

Ernos tries not to be to creepy as he stands and looks around while he thinks Cladmir sneaks off to relieve himself.
As Cladmir sneaks forward the snow drift appears unaware but when the human is 15ft away the drift leaps up. Or looks to stand up to a rather diminutive height and starts running away from the human, and to an equal extent, the tiefling doing his best not to look over.
It's hard to mark out details of the white and gray wrapped figure, but they move with an odd gait. Despite its wide swinging steps the former drift is fast on the snow.
((It's 75' from Cladmir now and heading away. Ernos is probably around 90, or so.))
----
After several long minutes the other flyers wheel back into mountains, swooping and spinning.
Jaq is nearly started when Thir whispers in his ear,
"Birdcats. Don't like dragon. Don't like bugbear. Don't like anyone."
She'll lean out, look around and lean back in.
"Good soon. Thir leave message."
She pulls out some leather and quickly scores in a row of symbols and places it to but slightly hidden.
"Go."
((Doing anything yourself during this? Otherwise a final perception check!))
Cladmir saw the figure running away and hesitated -- wasn't sure if he should call out to Ernos or not, still being an untrusting curmudgeon and all. But looking back at the tiefling Cladmir saw that his new comrade is still standing there, not moving to backstab him, just oblivious to the hiding figure in general.
Looking back at the retreating figure Cladmir felt a chill that differed from the cold surrounding him. If the figure was here then it may have seen Kroshav gone by. Could the paladin be heading to a trap?
Instead of following the fleeing creature Cladmir ran back to Ernos, shouting, "There was a creature hiding in the snow. Kroshav may be running into a trap, if not engaged with the enemy already. We must follow his trail and get to him at once!"
Without waiting for Ernos's response Cladmir took off running after Kroshav's trail.
Ealu considers only for the briefest of moments before saying, enthusiastically,
<Okay!>
Sword is also keen on the idea of catching a goblin, though her enthusiasm has bit more of an edge.

Kroshav and Ealu head off, leaving a clear trail for Cladmir and Ernos to follow after.
The further from the copse Kroshav goes the clearer the tracks become, maybe they were not as worried about being spotted from the tomb?
((Can I get another perception check from Kroshav as he rides. I was going to ask for an animal handling but Ealu can handle herself just fine.
Kroshav just going to go until he catches up or something blocks his path?))
