(( Because Cladmir is just an [older] human guy, not sure if he will be seeing the same thing as others or not.  Will try a perception roll here tho as he look intently into the surrounding dark -- roll with disadvantage because... dark. ))

Hearing/seeing Ernos, however, will make Cladmir move closer to Kroshav with his weapons out at the ready.

((Cladmir and Kroshav don't see anything going on with the kobolds or Jaq, but the kobolds are loud so he is hearing them.))

The goblins slink further back, just on the edge of Ernos vision.

Jaq slowly turns to look at what he thinks might be a dragon. Jaw’s eyes widen,as far as he can make them.   If it is in fact a dragon he says, “I’ve never seen a real dragon. Impressive!!!”

((I see your phone also thinks Jaq should be spelled Jaw!

@Row, Give me a performance or deception roll for the acting!))

A large dragon head is uncomfortably close to his face as he turns. In the mostly grayscale of darkvision he isn't able to pick out her exact color but it certainly looks like she's got green scales.

He notes the dragon's head is big, but not massive. It'd probably take her a few bites to eat him.

The kobolds mill around, one still clearly waiting for answers to its questions to Kroshav. The others look to be sniffing the ground?

((Only Ernos can see them now.))

"A dragon? Where?", Kroshav turns to look in Jaq's direction. 

((What language did Kroshav ask that in?))

((Common, as he was responding to Jaq.))

At the mention of the word "dragon" Cladmir will become incredibly still.

Kroshav turns his back to the kobolds but can't see anything beyond the glare of Sword and the fire.

"Hey!"

Yells one of the kobolds,

"Was talking to big kobold!"

((Berylberlia's action will depend on how convincing Jaq is...))

(Deception he is good at...and some of what he says is TRUE.   He's never seen a dragon and he is certain it is gonna look inpressive...unless it is really raggedy in appearance for some reason)

Berylberlia looks quite well taken care of, slender smooth scaled and healthy near as Jaq can tell looking at her.

Beryl lowers her face closer to Jaq's, her eyes narrowed, and doesn't do anything for a moment before straightening and saying, at a normal volume,

"Yes. Yes I am."

Her head swivels towards the camp then back to Jaq.

"Why are you trespassing in my forest elf? Are you and your companions lost?"

Her tone conveys, more than anything, detached interest.

((Everyone can hear Beryl speaking, definitely female though a tad deeper than the average human's.))

(( I'm assuming that Cladmir still cannot see anything despite hearing the voice -- although because it's out in the open Cladmir would be able to face the general direction the voice is coming from. ))

Upon hearing the voice Cladmir will ever so slowly turn, in a not threatening way, toward the source of the sound and attempt to move closer to Kroshav.

Ernos takes a single small step forward, and attempts a bow in the dragon's direction.  "We had been making camp beyond the forest, but encountered a swarm of undead.  Having seen smoke and signs of fire, we believed it best to seek out the camps that they mark, and ensure others in the region are safe."

((Of course, Ernos' main concern is whether the other groups are safe to have nearby, but it's still a matter of whether they're safe or not.))

He stays quiet at this point waiting to hear Beryl’s responses . He will keep his head lowered to continue looking like he is deferential to the dragon

"Where were we camping to not-? Huh? Apologies for camping on your land, there is an undead mage we are hunting, Gethren. Has he caused any trouble for you and yours?" 

Kroshav would have moved to Ealu's head to comfort her, still holding Sword up to provide light, but in a reverse grip, pommel skyward, so as not to appear the aggressor since he doesn't know what is going on, but it seems we are talking.

((Sword has 5 rounds of light remaining.))

"Previously we had been in the open mountain face, beyond the forest.  The location was often mostly beneath snow, protecting it from the elements and making it hard to find."

"I have not seen nor heard of undead near here."

She responds succinctly to Kroshav. To Ernos she considers before answering,

"So you are the ones making all the noise up there. I am surprised to see you still have a horse given the griffons' tastes."

She slips from answering into questioning,

"That is a barren stretch of stone there, ravaged by wind and weather in the best of seasons. What brings you there now?"
