Investigation: 11

Jaq tries to keep himself from shivering.

Jaq doesn't spot anything in any of the rooms as he comes to a corner and needs to turn right. As he moves around the corner he notices the air is becoming distinctly cooler. He can see more doors and, surprisingly, ice. The ice covers a 20' section of of the hall before becoming water again.

That is far enough for him, and since it is getting icy and colder, he heads back up to the others.

 "Hm, do you think it's normal for people to be camping out on this mountain in winter?  I can see smoke."

((The smoke is down in the forest rather than on the mountain proper, but a couple of the fires are relatively near the mountain.))

"People camping? Don't know about that, but there might be folks that live in these parts that build fires. Want to go meet our neighbors for the winter? Maybe see if Joe can have Ruby scout 'em?"

Cladmir feels a bit unease after hearing about potential campers.  "Any chance those could be another group of drows setting up camp?"

"Well, it could always be demon worshipers using pieces of my arm to track my general location.  One of them did that with a finger, I think?  Or maybe they were just given pieces to taunt me.  It may be wise to prepare barricades?"

Lurn recalls that all the demon worshipers, or at least the ones he has directly gotten on the bad side of, were quite dead. Though maybe they need to the fire to keep from freezing up?

As everyone is standing looking south or into the hole waiting for Jaq to come up, Lurn catches some movement out of the corner of his eye to the west. He manages to turn in just as three large snow drifts turn and start running at the party howling. An answering howl to the east of the group shows a pair charging from that direction!

((Roll for initiative! Jaq is still under and tied to Eula. Everyone but Lurn is surprised the first round. The drifts to the west are 75' away and the ones to the east are 90'
