Fantasvohle Campaign

Stun stands before the fallen boss, he shouts to Eskee "THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!".

He then assess the situation before him, and sees the family that was held hostage by globin's now left only as their captors flee.

He also see a lone goblin approaching Maverick, being noticeable timid and afraid.   

Stun then runs towards the brave little goblin and attacks:

Longtooth Shifting Strike:   to hit:  17   Damage:  6

Longtooth Shifting Strike:   to hit:  19   Damage:  5

After that attack, Stun transforms back into his normal state, totally exhausted from the battle.

Maverick walks towards the tieflings as he passes Stun on his hands and knees exhausted Maverick reaches out and ousts his hand on Stuns shoulder and whispers “See I told you, you are a badass” Maverick casts cure wounds on Stun: 3 added back to his health. Maverick continues to walk to the family to see if they are ok as he yells to Eskee, “ You good?!”

Eskee replies to Maverick, “Yeah, I’m good. Thanksss for asking.”

He turns to Stun, “Stun how are you doing?”

Stun falls to his back and starts to breath heavily after Maverick healed him.

Stun speaks as he is catching his breath, "im good!..... That..... escalated....quickly. i didn't think... we were gonna...win... hehe..."

Stun looks around while laying on the ground "Can one of you....", He points to the family "....check on them?" 

"Also...," Stun then has an angry expression on his face, "We the f**k did Asshrak go?!?!?!"

By this time Maverick should be approaching the family. And   He says 

“Hello, my name is Maverick and those are my dear friends Eskee and Stun, first of all are all of you ok? 2nd do you need anything food or  water? And 3rd what the hell was that all about?”

The brave little goblin falls dead after Stun's brutal attack. Five goblins escaped into the woods. Besides the unconscious and dead goblins and their boss, the only others remaining are the halfling family.

"My house! My house!" screams the halfling woman as she stares at the destruction caused by the goblins. Smoke still billows out of the broken windows and open door.

The father halfling grabs a large stick from off of the ground and brandishes it like a sword. "Who are you people!? What do you want with us?" he asks in a trembling voice.

The two small children stand behind their father hugging each other and crying.

Stun begins to stand up and walks towards the family, visibly worn and exhausted by the hard fought battle.

He approaches the father with his hands raised to the sky. he stops at the point of his large stick, then get to his knees and bows in front of them putting his face to the dirt.

"Forgive us for trespassing on your land, kind sir. We saw that you were outnumbered and were in danger. As a monk myself and my friends have kind hearts, we could not simply watch as you and your family get slaughtered by those evil creatures."

He picks his head up from the dirt and begins to sit in seiza position.

"I am Stun of the Wu Monastery. my friends Maverick and Eskee are on the mission to eliminate that threat of Goblin like these who hurt those like your family who are honest and hard working folk. We want to eliminate the threat of those who want to make honest folk like you suffer."

Stun take a deep breath, 

"If you don't not feel like you can trust us, you may strike me with your weapon. i will understand."

Stun looks at the father in the eyes as he waits for his next move...

Maverick stops walking and stands behind Stun.

"Look, as much as funny as I think it would be to see you crack the S**t out of my friend. I just healed him a ltiitle bit and I would hate to see that go to waste. Now here is the deal, I am Maverick and in the past I have lived with the common folks that live in the forrest. I decided to joins the ranks of these 2 in order to stop these goblin attack like the one your family just experienced. I think we can agree that it would have been alot worse for your family if we hadn't showen up. I can ask my friends who live in the woods to come and help you rebuild and fix what the goblins have damaged; however, in return would we be able to ask you a few questions about what happend just before we got here? Like the fallen leader over there, did he say where they were from of give any information where their homebase is?"

Eskee sees the halfling father pick up the stick and raises his hands up. He hears Stun and Maverick talking to the halfling so Eskee stays quite. He keeps his hands up and walks to stand near Maverick. 

"Not a fan of easing into things, are you Maverick?" Stun looking down at the ground embarrassed.

"Don't be so direct with the poor family, they still need time to come to their senses before they can become rationale again."

"We don't get many adventurers through here," the father halfling says lowering his stick. "Several weeks ago, these goblins came around our village and began demanding food and coin in exchange for protection from the dangers of the forest. They started with the houses furthest out such as ours . I didn't understand what they meant at first. We have never had any trouble with the people and creatures of the Hilly Woods. They must have found a cave or someplace to live nearby, although no one knows why or how they came here. Goblins have never been seen around here until recently. We've seen giants, orcs and ogres sometimes but not goblins. If you could find out where they are coming from and stop them, I am certain the village would be willing to pay you some kind of reward in recognition. I'd have to talk to the council about it, though. As you can see, I no longer have anything to offer. Those filthy goblins stole everything from us they could carry then burned the rest."

"Hmm..."

Stun begins to ponder on the words said by the father halfling while being glad that he has able to gain his trust.

"Worry not, friend. We didn't safe you for any reward, our action were out of principle. If compensation of our duties will satisfy any debt you think you have with us, then please save it until these evil fiends are vanquished."

Stun then turns states out loud...

"We need more information about these lands and these goblins. From the information we are gathering, these attacks were organized by someone more intelligent, and most likely stronger, than the leader we just fought. Small families were the first of these attacks, that means they have been here for a while, effectively gathering resources to gain strength until they were bold enough to start attacking the larger villages. Where ever the base and main leader is of the goblins, they are well rooted, supplied, and well organized by now."

Stun begins to ask the father some questions,

"Tell me, have the giants, orcs and ogres still appeared along with these goblin attacks? Is there anything else besides food and coin that they demanded? And can you take us to see this Council? it would be safer for you and your family to be with the village until we have dealt with these goblins."

Eskee let’s out a little laugh at Stun’s comment about Maverick. He offers Stun a hand to help him up and leans in and says, “I don’t think Maverick is capable of easing into anything. Remember how this whole encounter ssstarted.” Eskee laughs to himself again as he walks away from Stun  

Eskee walks, slowly, towards the children. He stops before getting too close and sits on the ground. He takes out his bongo and begins to play a happy song to try to cheer up the children. 

Maverick walks in between the parents past Eskee and now stands towering over the children with a neutral expression on his face as if staring them down. He locks eyes with whichever is the oldest, drops his pack infront of him and while keeping his eyes locked crouches down so he is at their eye level he closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, slowly opens them and turns to the youngest and, crosses his eyes, cocks his head to the left, and stick out his tongue and  jokingly makes fun of Stun or Eskee, whichever one talks next quietly going blah blah blah.  Maverick sits in between the children and takes out 5 days worth of food rations and gives it to them. This is a side to Maverick not even Eskee has seen 

“you were amazing so small and yet sooo brave. I know your parent must be proud of you. Eventually you will be big like us but to get there you need to eat to grow big and strong. Listen to your mom and dad. Do what they say. Now go play, be merry, and one more thing, (Maverick stands up then bends over so only the children can hear, puts his hand on the youngest ones shoulder) tag your it” 

Maverick runs off in hopes the children follow to play so they  are pre-occupied while Stun and Eskee talk to the adults and so the children momentarily forget about what they just went through. 

Eskee stops playing when Maverick approaches the children. He gives Maverick a WTF look and stands up. While Maverick does what he does with the children Eskee walks over to Stun and says, “SSStun when you are finished here may I ssspeak to you? He looks to the halfling parents and adds, “In private.” 

Eskee walks out of ear shot of everyone else and attempts to look busy. He goes through the motions of casting spells, but doesn’t say to verbal components. Kind of practicing casting spells with out actually casting any.  

Stun nods at Essek while continuing to talk to the halfling father.......

"Come to think of it," the father halfling replies to Stun while keeping an eye on the children as they chase after Maverick, "I haven't seen or heard of any orcs or ogres since the goblins began showing up. Rumor has it a hill giant lives in the valley northwest of here, but I have never actually seen him. Gub is his name, I think."

The youngest and smallest child tugs on Eskee's trousers. "Play more," she says. "I like drums. bum de bum bum, bum de bum bum." She begins dancing around to the beat of her own imaginary drum.

"As far as seeing the council," the father continues, "we might could set up a meeting in the next day or two."

The mother comes back with a tear-stained face. "Look what they did to our beautiful house!" she says to her husband. "It will take weeks to clean up this mess, and even longer to replace what's been stolen and burnt. What will we do?"

From a far off distance, you hear the sound of wolves howling.

Stun hears the wolves in the distance...

"Im praying those are just wolves..."

Stun turns back to the father, "from the sound of things, we need to leave as soon as we are able. Beside those wolfs, those goblins are will go back to there base and come back in larger numbers. My companions and i will escort you to the village in order to make sure your safe then we will meet with the console. Please prepare what you can."

Stun then gets up and talks to the mother, "Madam," Stun bows, "Everything that has be destroyed is never truly lost. This house that all of you have built will be made even stronger because of what you face here, so will the bond of your family. You have been blessed by what ever gods you pray to for the chance to create more memories with your family. We will ensure everyone will survive this and put an end to these goblins."

Stun shouts to Maverick "Maverick!!! Get ready to start leaving! We're heading to the village!"

Stun then walks over to Essek, "You want to speak?" He smiles at the child trying to get Esseks attention...

“ Stun, are we going alone or are we escorting this family?”

Eskee smiles at the little one that tugs in his pants and casts minor illusion and has it sound like a beating drum. 

Eskee turns to Stun and says in a hushed tone, “Your heart is in the right place, but consssider that these people may not want to leave their home. They may not have anywhere in the city to ssstay. Perhaps we should leave the decision to them inssstead of telling them that they have to leave.”

Eskee returns to were the little girl is dancing around and resumes playing his bongo.
