Stun puts his thumb up with one of his hands behind his back for Essek to see.
Stun speaks to Gub, "Hmmm... something not make sense. If goblin good to Gub, goblin good to Dragon and Snake, Gub bad to dragon and snake, but they help both of you....."
Stun makes pretend his head gets dizzy by swirling his head and it with one hand grabbing the side of his head.
"Me thinks we need to find more about what goblin really want. Me thinks that goblins playing with both Gub and Dragon feeling for them to get something they like from both. Gub, i think me and friends go sneaky into goblins base to find why goblins do things for dragon and snake."
"Goblins give stuff to dragon to keep peace between Gub and dragon," the giant explains. "Goblins maat. Snakes maug. As long as goblins give stuff to dragon, snakes stay out of Gub's Valley. Plus, goblins bring food to Gub."
Eskee says the Stun and Maverick, quietly, “Just to make sure I have it all sssstraight. Bruce the bar keep set us out here to kill the goblinsss. The halfling town set usss out here, and equipped us to, kill Gub and the goblins. The Yuan-ti we need to deal with for own safety, and the well being of the entire area. Lastly, there’s the dragon. No one asked us to kill it… yet.”
Eskee then asks Gub, “Hey Gub how much further to your valley? My let’s aren’t as long as yours and I’m getting tired.”
“Look the way I see it, there is no way to do this without having to kill both. I don’t think we can do both at the same time so unfortunately I think it should go Gub then the goblins. Unless one of you have something better? But eaither way I think we need to rest so we can get a game plan before we get there. GUB! Sorry I’m getting tired as well.” Maverick looks over at Stun and gives him a nod towards Gub in hopes he gets the idea and says something as well.
"we'll be back Gub!" Stun shouts as the group leaves into the forest to hunt
"Gub is the equivalent of a overgrown child, i don't feel right killing him without a chance of redemption. The goblins are our priority, i agree, but there is a dragon around the same vicinity of the halfling village with The Yuan-ti following it. If we don't have the strength to slay the dragon, we should at least find out what their motivations are. If we are being observant, the only deterrent from the dragon and the The Yuan-ti burning down and destroying this area is Gub. Killing him would actually put the halflings and the village in even more danger than when we arrived. The goblins should be destroyed, with or without Gub, preferable with him around as an ally to defend the village against the Dragon and The Yuan-ti."
Stun says with a disappointing look on his face, "If we have to... we are going to have to lie to him and say that the goblins and The Yuan-ti are plotting to destroy him and he should strike first against the goblins to get rid of them. The dragon will have to fight Gub to the death, the winner will hopefully be weak enough for us to finish off. That's my suggestion."
“An interesting perssspective, Stun. That Gub’s stupidity somehow justifies his actionsss.” Eskee says as he thinks to himself.
After a moment Eskee continues, “‘I to would rather not have to kill Gub, but I fear that may not be possible. This entire walk we have been trying to convince him the goblinsss are bad and he has not budged. I fear if we attempt to kill the goblinsss Gub will react and then we will have to fight Gub and the Goblinsss at the same time. Going with that line of thought I’d rather fight Gub now, rest if we need to, then continue to the camp and deal with the goblinsss.”
”However, I did assssume you and Maverick would not want to kill Gub ssso I have been thinking. Something Maverick said earlier gave me an idea. It’s very risssky, but the best plan I could come up with. If at the camp I can sneak into a tent or somewhere unseen for a moment I could cast a spell to make myself look like a goblin. Then you or Maverick could catch me attempting to steal Gub’s food. Hopefully you could use that to convince Gub to join us in attacking the goblins. In the chaos I dip out of sight, drop the spell, and join the fight.”
”Killing Gub now is a much sssafer plan. However, I will defer to what the group decides.”
”As far as the yuan-ti and the dragon…. Unless the Yuan ti have had a change in their philosophy since I left I can tell you their plan. They may have come here looking for me, but when they found a giant I’m sure their priority shifted. I have no doubt their “ssserivce” to the dragon is just a ploy to manipulate it into helping them to capture and enslave Gub and as many goblinsss as survive. If they know of the halfling village they will be next to be forced into ssservitude to the Yuan-ti. Once the dragons usefulnessss has run its course the Yuan-ti will move on. If the dragon refusesss they will kill it.”
“hopefully the Yuan-ti have newly arrived and their numbers are still small. Either way, I fear I have put us, Gub, and the halflings in grave danger. For what little it’s worth I am truly sssorry.”
“Look we’re almost there and Gub has not budged on his stance with the Goblins. Sorry but I think Gubs time has come to an end. Unless eaither of you have a rock steady good plan, I say we take out Gub, now, then rest, then go take out the goblins. Give me a better plan and we will hold off otherwise, Gub is done.”
"Uhhh, Just had a thought...." Stun pauses for a moment for his thought to come to reality.
"If Gub wants to be a hero, why don't we just convince him if that he slays the dragon, he becomes the hero of the valley?"
Stun also comes up with another thought, "While he is fighting the dragon and The Yuan-ti, the goblins will be distracted and we can destroy that portal the goblins are coming from and deal with the rest. Who ever is left standing from the fight, whether it be Gub or the dragons, we will with them last."
Stun continues his thoughts, "From the last fight we had with just one of the, Gub is the only one here who has the strength to take on The Yuan-ti and the dragon. The best efforts by all three of us were minimal to just one of them. Our odds are better if all three of us were to fight the goblins by themselves."
"At the moment there is no need to rush, let us focus our efforts into convincing Gub to attack the The Yuan-ti and the dragon to protect the halflings and/or the goblins. After we should return to the village to inform them on what's about to happen, if need be, we should get them to leave to save them from the battle that is to come."
Stun turns to Eskee, "Our past is our past Eskee, it does not determine who we are. If your prior actions are what brings them here, Don't feel the need to apologize, things happen. Your determination on making sure we are safe from them and your empathy shows what kind of person you are and that's all i need to know about you Eskee."
"That being said, if you're comfortable with it, can you tell us more about why The Yuan-ti are after you?"
I want to meet this giant face to face to see if this creature is evil of not. if it is, i cant simply walk away from it.
Gub said he tells the goblins to steal the food does that sound evil? Or better yet if a Giant tries to eat YOU would that be evil.
Look I’m just as strong as him remember I have this belt. By YOUR words Stun I think Gub falls into the evil category despite mental capacity. Even a child gets punished when they do wrong, Gubs punishment just happens to be death.”

Eskee says quietly to Maverick and Stun, “I might have a plan. When we get to our dessstination let’s try to find a place to talk in private.”
Stun puts his thumb up with one of his hands behind his back for Essek to see.

Stun waits for his reply
"Goblins give stuff to dragon to keep peace between Gub and dragon," the giant explains. "Goblins maat. Snakes maug. As long as goblins give stuff to dragon, snakes stay out of Gub's Valley. Plus, goblins bring food to Gub."
“Gub do you like dragons and snakes hurting you? Do you like dragon and snakes taking stuff from you? How does that make you feel?”
"Gub no like dragon," the giant says. "Snakes maug. Dragon like snakes. Gub hate dragon."
"This seems more complicated than we thought.." Stun wispers to the group.
"Gub, were goblins always here with you and dragon? they look like they new here"
"Goblins new, come through blue light hole. Dragon not new. Snakes come after goblins. "
"Gub, me and friends go find out what blue light is, Where you stay so we meet you and tell you what it is?" Stun says to Gub
"oh, Gub know," the giant replies to Stun. "Blue light where goblins come from. Gub stay at home. Goblins maat, help Gub."
Eskee says the Stun and Maverick, quietly, “Just to make sure I have it all sssstraight. Bruce the bar keep set us out here to kill the goblinsss. Maverick looks over at Stun and gives him a nod towards Gub in hopes he gets the idea and says something as well.
"Okey-dokey," Gub says. "We rest here. We almost to Gub's home in the valley anyway. Any food?"
Gub plops down. Sitting on the ground, he waits for his little friends to catch up.
“Gub if you stay here we can go catch some food and bring it back. C’mon guys wanna go hunt and get hero Gub some food?”
"Okey-dokey," Gub says with a childish grin. "You go hunt. Gub wait here for you to bring food."
"we'll be back Gub!" Stun shouts as the group leaves into the forest to hunt
